So I own a boombox 1 and a partybox 320. I can tell you from experience (even though its not the 120) if your wanting something thats loud with a great amount of bass the 120 would be your ticket. However it comes with a caveat, those partyboxs cant handle any sort of roughness at all, they also can take a SPLASH of water. The boombox wont be as loud, wont have as much bass but those things can get roughed up a bit and its IP67 rated so it can take on water.
final boss of jbl glazing. nah, but fr. you think that two small bt speakers can outmatch two big boogshelf speakers? it doesnt matter if speakers are old. The speakers are connected via wires to a big amp to the pc, so aint no way that two small speakers, which have their own built in amps n stuff, will outpreform this setup. im not saying that the flip 7 (in stereo or not) is bad, but it just isnt as good. ive got myself a jbl boombox, but i also have a pair of jbl 305p mkii and the 305 sounds way better.
I think the other guy just talks terms he knows without the knowledge behind them. But anyway, a flip 7 is a nice portable speaker, so I would recommend it to take it with you to the park n stuff. Maybe a bit pricey, so i would recommend looking to the second-hand market too. Got myself a jbl boombox (1st gen) for 160 eur. So something smaller that's older will prob cost less than that. Maybe go look for some speakers in fusical stores to check their size and see what size you like. Btw love your speakers. Def would've been jealous of you when I was 13.
Yeah I'm a reviewer and m6 bb4 on rap songs or anything with super deep bass starts distorting bad
Oh nice you lucked out with the TL version, I heard it's better, I got the PL version unfortunately 😐 if you want to see the distortion mine has check out my channel on youtube called jagistreviews
That's weird that they couldn't get theirs to dostort, mine distorts on anything with real deep bass like rap and hip hop, my friend has the TL version and his also distorts but slightly not as bad
The Motion Boom is significantly more powerful than the Charge. That's right. I've listened to both speakers several times in comparison with each other.
Maybe I got a dud but I was seriously disappointed in the boombox. It was terrible. Swore off the entire line after that.
They all suck. 1-4
My charge 3 lasted nearly 5 years of outdoors use in the Midwest. Summer, winter, forgotten about overnight, it was a tank. Side story: when it recently broke, I ordered another... Or so I thought. I was a little tipsy and bought the boombox instead. This giant box arrives, and let me tell ya, that thing POUNDS.
Two hyperbooms in stereo mode would sound better than sound from a single source. Used ones are pretty cheap compared to full price
What do you mean with portability? Able to transport it with a car? Able to place it with other stuff in a bagpack? Able to carry it on a cart like a fridge? Also depends on where you’d use it and how you’d use it. Obviously, those portable ones (to just fit with your stuff in the backpack), you won’t get dance floor thundering bass and rather a good background sound for a gathering with a few friends. If it’s for the backpack style (cause that’s what I’d consider portable) I wouldn’t go bigger than Jbl charge 6 size. Different brands have different signature sounds. I really like jbls, and the newer Sonys. Pretty much any soundcore speaker and Tribit and so on that I had in my hand, I wanted to tune them over their equalizer cause I didn’t like there profiles (I remember them as muffled) Sony field 1 is a great portable and sounds good. Same for flip 7 and charge 6. also worth looking at features other than sound and robustness. Soundcore motion 300 also one I remember with a really nice sound. From what I heard, if you go for a Jbl charge size speaker, looking at the difference to the next bigger one like Jbl xtreme or soundcore boom size, I would say the sound difference can be named almost irrelevant. There is more bass, yes, but not enough worth mentioning to me. So I’d say go either flip / charge size for spontaneously taking to shower and back, outdoors in your backpack, or Jbl boombox size if it has to be taken sometimes by car and needs a big bass for a lil dance round.
