"The Clip 5 has thicker silicone padding on the back, making it tougher than the Clip 4, which had thinner strips that some users said peeled off over time."
Yes! The JBL Clip 4 sounds like the best fit for you. It’s super compact and weighs only 8.46 ounces, so you won’t even notice it while carrying it. It has a built-in carabiner, so you can clip it onto your backpack or bike instead of packing it in a bag. Very easy to carry!

r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • Best JBL Bluetooth Speaker ->Lately, I had the chance to review several Bluetooth speakers for skiing and snowboarding, and I thought it would be helpful to share my thoughts with the Reddit community. Here’s a quick guide on what to consider before buying: * **Portability**: You’ll want a lightweight, compact speaker. * **Durability**: Look for waterproof and dustproof features. * **Sound Quality**: Make sure it delivers clear audio, even outdoors. * **Battery Life**: Long-lasting power for extended trips is a must. * **Connectivity**: Bluetooth range and stability are key when you're on the move. Now, here are some great options: 1. **JBL Clip 4** - The JBL Clip 4 is a solid choice for skiing and snowboarding. Its compact size and built-in carabiner make it easy to clip onto your gear, while its IP67 rating ensures it can handle snow and dust. The sound is surprisingly rich for such a small speaker, with clear highs and decent bass. You can expect around 10 hours of battery life, making it perfect for a full day on the slopes. It’s a rugged, no-fuss option for anyone wanting music on their outdoor adventures. 2. **Sonos Roam** - If you're into smart features along with great sound, the Sonos Roam is an excellent pick. It’s durable, with an IP67 rating, making it ideal for snowboarding or skiing. What sets it apart is its ability to connect to Wi-Fi at home and Bluetooth on the go. The sound is well-balanced, and it integrates with Alexa or Google Assistant if you’re into voice control. The only downside is that setting it up can be a bit frustrating, but once it’s going, it’s a fantastic speaker for the slopes. 3. **Sony SRS-XB13** - For those on a budget, the Sony SRS-XB13 delivers great value. It’s compact and easy to carry, thanks to its included strap. The sound is clear and packs some extra bass, although it doesn’t handle low-bass as well as pricier models. With up to 16 hours of battery life, this speaker can last you through long sessions on the mountain. It’s also IP67 waterproof, so snow is no problem, making it a reliable, affordable choice for outdoor adventures. The above are the best to my opinion today. If you want to see more options, and compare features per budget range, you can take a look at this page of [best Bluetooth speaker for skiing and snowboarding](https://requiremints.com/guide/best-bluetooth-speakers-skiing-&-snowboarding/). I help the team there in reviewing Bluetooth speakers. In any case, if you have questions or need advice on a particular model, please feel free to comment here. Good luck #
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • Best Bluetooth Speakers for Skiing and Snowboarding ->Hi, A quick update to the above. So I have just completed another round of reviews of mini Bluetooth speakers, supporting the Requiremints speakers team. Well, to make long story short, these are the best options for skiing and snowboarding to my opinion (weight - under 10 ounces), and you can read a bit more in [this page](https://requiremints.com/guide/best-bluetooth-speakers-skiing-&-snowboarding/): 1. **JBL Clip 5** \- A new model for this successful family of mini speakers, with improved sound. It will cost you about $80, but it is rugged, waterproof and have a great sound for its size and weight. The clip it has is super helpful, tough if you are doing an extreme skiing and snowboarding, I would tie it with an addition small wire for a backup. 2. **JBL Clip 4** \- Because the Clip 5 is out, you can find it with a reduced costs ($50) - it is still a great value for money and the sound is excellent. 3. **Sony SRS-XB100** \- Another excellent mini Bluetooth with a great sound, very popular. It is waterproof and come with a strap to tie it to your bag. It is a great option in case you want to use it also in other activitis. If you are really on a budget, the Clip 3 may be a good option (a bit old but can do the work if you dont want to invest). Hope this helps, please let me know what you think, comment and advise other options. Good luck
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • Best Bluetooth Speakers for Skiing and Snowboarding ->Also in this same hunt. Have been us a Jbl clip 4, but sound isn’t as good as I’d like and volume could be a bit better
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best waterproof Bluetooth speaker of all prices for shower? ->Second day using these and I’m not a fan of the battery life. I’ve been getting 5 hours of continuous use. I need a bit more than that. Not sure whether I got a dud or is that normal. I have a JBL Clip 4 and the battery life is similar, if not longer. I think these are going back and I’ll try a Clip5. I can tolerate the inferior sound vs JBL because of the Costco deal ($50 at my store) but 2x the dud isn’t my thing.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Quick and dirty review of the LG Xboom xg2 currently on sale at Costco ->I liked the sound quality of the Clip 4 vs the XBoom. I would go with the Clip 4 if I had to choose. You probably opt for the Clip 5 if you are staying in the JBL Clip line; the 4 and 5 are similarly priced due to the 5 being on sale.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Quick and dirty review of the LG Xboom xg2 currently on sale at Costco ->I’ve a clip 4, use it during rides, Id go with the flip but then that would be a lot bulkier
r/JBL • Best shower speaker ->You can still have great awareness. I keep a JBL clip in my shirt jac pocket, not the pen pocket, and i heard a dog running down the street at me with my back turned. It didnt bark neither, i just heard something.
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->I use a JBL clip, works perfectly. My supe even said it's fine.
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->Good for $15. JBL clip is better but it’s also $60.
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->How’s the sound quality. I have that jbl clip and it’s starting to get a little fuzzy
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->You can find music monitors for around the same price as a Bluetooth speaker. If you get a RCA to aux the Bluetooth might work but I know new ones don’t have an aux. I actually just use an old JBL clip and have always just used it plugged in. The Bluetooth settings on the FLX4 are for the iPad. So he can mix without the iPad plugged in. It’s a little misleading. I’m sure you can connect the speaker somehow but it’s not intended for that.
r/PioneerDJ • 8yo got a FLX4 for Christmas! (need speaker help, please!) ->JBL Clip, its clutch for hiking.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Hey guys, any speaker recommendation to use while take a shower or hikes with friends? ->I've been using a Bluetooth speaker for years. I like the JBL clip ones
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->X300 is what I would say without context and my idea of "mini". Bose Soundlink Flex if you can go to what I consider "small". JBL clip if you need something I consider "micro"
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • What is the best mini bluetooth speaker as of now? Budget is not a problem ->No you won't get close to the bass on the jbl party box with the charge or flip. It decent for a small room or just to bring around the house with you or travel. You'll want to go with the Tribit Storm Blast to get the most bass at 150 buck mark. It's also waterproof so it can stay in your bathroom. Since you mentioned hiking probably the Flip 6 which has solid bass for its size and is pretty portable. JBL Clip is another option but it doesn't get very loud.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Hey guys, any speaker recommendation to use while take a shower or hikes with friends? ->JBL clip ranges from $30-50. it’s waterproof and produces great quality audio.
r/spotify • Shower speaker suggestions ->I also have ADHD and listen to a speaker basically the whole time I'm carrying. I'm pretty sure it's allowed, at least no one's ever said a word about it. Search "jbl clip" on Amazon... it's a waterproof bluetooth speaker designed for listening in the shower but it will clip right on to your satchel ring. I've been using it for over a year now, works great with no issues. Also check out Audible if you haven't already... lots of good books go on sale every month for $5-8
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
