"it sounds fucking amazing. ... I was blown away at Best Buy. I thought this was fake somehow like there is no way this thing is producing that bass and that level. ... The speaker is phenomenal. ... At first it was almost too bass heavy; but after an hour or two of playtime it broke in and the mids came alive, without loosing any bass. ... it still sounds fucking incredible."
"the Bose sounds terrific for pretty much every genre I've hit it with, including Bass-heavy EDM."
"The EQ is the biggest upgrade in my opinion, it really fixes the highs and mids especially in the standing position where the old flex lacks crisp."

"Throughout an 8 hour usage at work, not once did it ever disconnect for me. Which was the only reason why I stepped away from the Kilo."
"very easy to set up a connection and once that is done, the bluetooth connection is near instant once speaker is turned on"
"its the only thing i've no latency issues or connection issues"

"in the water it is unbeatable."
"My current Gopro 12 takes pretty damned awesome pictures, especially in RAW if you know how to use lightroom. ... Here's a shot of some coral I took 2 weeks ago in Cozumel, with a cheap dive housing, no lights, no colour filters, depth around 12-13 meters. ... Even on simple jpg mode, in lineair lens, the pictures are more than decent ... This one was in super green, much less clear water, on a day with clouds, from the surface as you're not allowed to dive near the turtles here. The bottom is about 2.5-3m deep here. Simply point & shoot in raw mode and then process the RAW."
"The mini has been drug all over golf courses and gotten wet countless times."

"The built-in clip is miles ahead and was easy to use. Its larger form factor allowed me to detach it from my belt loop and attached it to the machines I was driving."
"clip 5 is very convenient with the carabiner"
"The JBL Clip 5 would be perfect for extreme sports. ... It’s compact, rugged, and waterproof with an IPX7 rating, so it’s built to handle harsh outdoor environments. ... Plus, it has a carabiner that makes it easy to clip onto your gear while you're out on the slopes. ... The JBL Clip 5 is built to withstand tough conditions. ... It’s not only waterproof but also dustproof, making it resistant to the elements. ... It’s rugged enough to survive drops and rough handling, which is ideal for active adventures"

"JBL app support! This was huge for me. As soon as I turned on the device and connected, I downloaded the app and it connected right away and prompted for a firmware update! Thanks to the app support you could also change the eq to a setting that you desire. Since I tried and fell in love with the JBL signature eq settings, I just left it at that."

"The bass is slow and sludgy on the Cadenza. ... They can't keep up with faster tracks. ... If you're listening to metal, prog, acid jazz, etc... then you may have some issues with that. ... Fast, heavyhitting techno? Not with these."
"I personally felt the bass was pretty anemic on it and I'm not a bass-head. ... Less bass than the ER2xr, Blessing 2, Blessing 2 Dusk, IE 200 etc. ... Very thin sounding. ... They have less bass than the Moondrop Blessing 2. ... They have less bass than the Etymotic ER2xr. ... They have less bass than the Sennheiser IE200. ... Just not enough bass and I"m no bass-head."
"The subwoofer is weak and almost non existent."

"distorts with bass heavy recordings at higher volumes"
"the sound got distorted a lot and was terrible."

"That said, I ran a battery test on the Bose at 80dB from one metre away, and it only lasted for four and a half hours."
"at max(126 db) its like 3 hours"
"In terms of max volume, the bose can get quite compressed, but it doesn't get too distorted. ... the bose is less controlled at max volume than the jbl. It removes the high end and boosts mids heavily with lot's of compression."

"Those things are overpriced in comparison!"
"Your gonna get better speakers cheaper than the bose, their just really greedy with their shit."
"And overpriced."
JBL clip, super portable, dust and water resistant and great sound quality, they are also very durable
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->Bose Soundlink is a champ, our first died after many years and we got a replacement instead of something different. I was gifted a JBL mini-clip and holy SHIT this thing is loud and has pretty decent sound quality-around $70 I think.
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->Gen 3 B&O is out now but, I'm still rocking the 2nd Gen for potable great sound, and it's good enough for under $140 on Amazon renewed, and I'm using my JBL Partybox Club 120 for my whole home theater setup in my Den connected to my JBL Clip 5, and a JBL Go 4 linked in Auracast and it works well all together!
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Which JBL Speaker is the best? ->I recently got the JBL Clip 5, noticeably better then my Klein AEPJS2. Depending on the site, the M12 comes out though. The AEPJS3 and M18 Bluetooth Jobsite Speaker stay at home, I definitely have a speaker collecting problem lol. If the whole gang is cool, the 2 speakers above can be linked with others.
r/Construction • Best Bluetooth speaker ->I avoid click-bait titles, but having spent a lot of time with the newer Clip 5 and Go 4 from JBL, I was honestly shocked by how well the Select 4 Go performs comparatively, given its $29 price point. Build quality falls a little short of JBL, and the multi-speaker pairing isn't quite as extensive, but still - I've tested a fair amount of speakers, and I'd have a hard time recommending something else for a budget-focused buyer looking for something like the Go 4.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore Select 4 Go Review: The Best Budget Speaker? ->The JBL Clip 5 would be perfect for extreme sports. It’s compact, rugged, and waterproof with an IPX7 rating, so it’s built to handle harsh outdoor environments. Plus, it has a carabiner that makes it easy to clip onto your gear while you're out on the slopes.
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • What Portable Bluetooth Speaker Do You Recommend? ->Absolutely! The JBL Clip 5 is built to withstand tough conditions. It’s not only waterproof but also dustproof, making it resistant to the elements. It’s rugged enough to survive drops and rough handling, which is ideal for active adventures
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • What Portable Bluetooth Speaker Do You Recommend? ->Yes, despite its compact design, the JBL Clip 5 delivers excellent sound with punchy bass. It's engineered for high quality audio, ensuring your music sounds great no matter where you are, even in outdoor environments.
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • What Portable Bluetooth Speaker Do You Recommend? ->I've had most of the lineup from JBL. The Go, Clip, flip, charge, extreme, and boombox. The only one I wasn't really happy with was the clip...it was being sold in a two pack and yet lacked the capability of virtually every JBL speaker which is to be able to link up to other JBLs and play in stereo. They're all good for their size/price. Obviously the Go doesn't thump like the boombox does but it's a fraction of the price and size. I think any of them up through the Charge can be charged with a USB cable then the bigger ones like the extreme/boombox have a proprietary charging cord. They're all at least somewhat water resistant and rugged all the way up to the Boombox and the Extreme being submersible. I remember when I first got the Boombox, being at a pool and my brother asked if I was worried about the speaker being so close to said pool. I said it's supposed to be waterproof and I then proceeded to throw it in the pool. It was totally fine. Battery life on them are all respectable, and at least personally, I haven't had a battery fail yet. The extreme and even more so the Boombox, seem to last forever. More recently I bought a Sony xg500 (Boombox equivalent) when it was on sale. Not a bad speaker, has good mids and highs, but the bass was a little lackluster and overall it couldn't get quite as loud as my 5 year old Boombox. It has an inferior IP rating compared to the Boombox as well. The only thing it really has over the Boombox, that I didn't even realize for a while, and it may or may not be a positive depending on the person, is it has some lighting effects on the side that strobe with music. Overall the Boombox is really the better buy for sure. The only other speakers I've heard that were as good or better were some bose ones, but they didn't have much bass, and the ones I saw didn't seem too rugged. The UE speakers I've heard were fine but not as good as JBLs
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->I'm also trying to figure out which one to pick but it seems that no one responded LOL. I watched a review for the kilo and they said it's pretty good but it depends on the genre of music. it said for simple things it's able to play well but if you were to listen to metal or rock the melodies and the instruments would get confused and it might sound jumbled. so I'm trying to figure out if the clip 5 does that at all. because if it does then I'm just going to go with the kilo
r/portablespeakers • JBL Clip 5 vs Skullcandy Kilo: Which is better? Any opinions? ->i did get the kilo and it's honestly not the best. i love the battery life. lasts for days but the sound quality isn't good. especially if there's songs with quieter notes, you can't hear it. wish I would've gotten the JBL clip 😔
r/portablespeakers • JBL Clip 5 vs Skullcandy Kilo: Which is better? Any opinions? ->You can still have great awareness. I keep a JBL clip in my shirt jac pocket, not the pen pocket, and i heard a dog running down the street at me with my back turned. It didnt bark neither, i just heard something.
r/USPS • Headphone are out. Are speakers in? ->Charge has more bass. Flip is lighter more portable. One of my favorite speaker of all time is the JBL Clip 4. But the 5 is better because the power button doesn’t get hit by accident like the 4. Smaller speaker but it sounds great and extremely portable and great battery life.
