I got a JBL flip 6 in last sale for around 7.5k, it’s the best in its range when you count the longevity. I have had flip3 before this and got its battery replaced at a local shop when it no longer lasted much. Could recommend boat too but I just feel the sound is not up to the mark
You can't send sound over Bluetooth, so your latency worries can be laid to rest. I have a JBL Flip 3 which has an Aux Port. I found it at TJ Maxx for 14.99 and should be easy to track one down. It's a few years older, but still sounds good enough for the Live while at the park or on the sofa. Bluetooth is for input devices like a keyboard, midi Tx/Rx to an iPad. It won't send audio and has been disabled.
Jbl flip 3 gave 2 hours of full volume and the flip 4 gives about 5, for the size it is i said hell yea
Go4 is very size specific for like when you want something light to throw on the belt loop and walk around, flip series would be what is being looked for
They are good but they do not pair with older jbl speakers. If you have a flip 6 and try to pair it with the flip 7 it doesn't work. The flip 6 you can pair with 5s, 4s and 3s. Keep this in mind if you plan on getting multiple speakers or if you already own an older one. Of course you can pair 2 or more flip 7s together as well as probably the next few new models from jbl.
My first jbl speaker from a verizon perk 10-12 years ago flip 3 still works like a charm. Have added others over time but it still holds charge forever, sound is clear, loud if i need it to be. Current model should be in your price range easily.
My flip 3 is used daily since i bought, now repurposed as PC speaker and now my ex has it and I believe it's still being used daily. I wouldn't worry so much. My charge 6 I bought recently is also just fine, I "abuse" it as a shower speaker and it holds up just fine
JBL Flip is great. Get one of the older models with the aux 1/8” input.
It does, lots of people have agreed that the 3 has had the best sound quality of the line
3, best bass sound I've ever heard from a speaker
