JBL - Go 4

Why wouldn't it still be worth it? It's their newest small speaker

Gen 3 B&O is out now but, I'm still rocking the 2nd Gen for potable great sound, and it's good enough for under $140 on Amazon renewed, and I'm using my JBL Partybox Club 120 for my whole home theater setup in my Den connected to my JBL Clip 5, and a JBL Go 4 linked in Auracast and it works well all together!

I avoid click-bait titles, but having spent a lot of time with the newer Clip 5 and Go 4 from JBL, I was honestly shocked by how well the Select 4 Go performs comparatively, given its $29 price point. Build quality falls a little short of JBL, and the multi-speaker pairing isn't quite as extensive, but still - I've tested a fair amount of speakers, and I'd have a hard time recommending something else for a budget-focused buyer looking for something like the Go 4.

i have a JBL Go 4 which can be actively waterboarded and go back to its original audio quality within five seconds by just hold it upright like it were standing

My Bose revolve plus has been going strong for 9 or 10 years, even after accidentally dropping it and my JBL Go 4 is great for my office

If you need something that portable, it's about as good as it gets. There are a few competing models of a similar size that make slightly different tradeoffs, like the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2, the Soundcore Select 4 Go, or the JLab Pop Party, but ultimately nothing that's fundamentally better, especially in areas that small speakers always struggle with, like bass response or volume.  If you're tight on budget, but flexible on size, you've got some interesting options like the Sony SRS-XB100, the Soundcore 3, or the JLab Go Party. Although the Go 4 is still a credible choice, especially if clear sound is more important to your than big sound.

Because of its build, it's very strong instead of some of others brands, the connectivity with the JBL app, you can set an equaliser, and others things. The sound is also good for its size and I think the main advantage is the size, it's hyperultramegaportable and light. You can also pair two Go 4 to have stereo sound ( left and right)

JBL Go 4 is a little smaller and lighter than the Clip but still has a big sound for the size. This is a good choice if you’re traveling carry-on only or onebag.

After looking at the JBL Go 4 that nintendorules110 recommended. I now realize I didn't notice, or consider, that the play/pause button was also the previous/next button. With that in mind, I'll likely get one of these JBLs. Unless I can find a specker that also has a phone button.

I did look at this one before. I didn't realize it had the skip and previous function built into the single button. I wonder how many others I've skipped because I didn't consider this. I still don't see a phone button. But that's not a deal breaker, just a nice to have.

I love my JBL Go 4. I take it out on my fishing boat, as well as much SUP. Sounds great, completely waterproof.

I own both speakers and JBL go 4 is smallest speaker compared to soundcore select 4 is little bit bigger in size

JBL Go 4 also has more bass also you can control bass on app compared to soundcore select 4

Beats pill 2024 model I bought off eBay for $40 and it’s loud also JBL go 4 great speaker it’s waterproof also really fun to listen to music on it because it has bass which you can control on app

I have the Soundcore and the JBL go 4... I use the JBL, even though it's not quite as loud it has more low end and depth and I prefer the sound. I got them for €25 each... The JBL is also smaller and more pocketable

If u wanna buy a go4 i recommend it it’s loud for its size but depend on ur budget u can go to the flip 7

according to rtings jbl go 4 is better sounding speaker than tribit micro 2. Their measurements and analyzis are complete ASS, like really really BAD

In the measurement go 4 looks better than micro 2. Just see the bose flex 2 on the measurement, almost a studio monitor on their measurements haha, but its actually like 7db boosted in treble, those guys are nuts

I had a JBL go 4 and a Flip 7. I returned them both and bought a Soundcore Boom 3i. It's a bit bigger than the options you have listed, but sounds absolutely phenomenal for its size, gets very loud, and it's probably the most rugged speaker I've ever owned. It's still portable enough to where I always keep it with me because it fits nicely in a backpack, suitcase, etc. it comes with a strap (not really that it's remotely large enough to need one) but it was SUPER easy to 3D print a handle for if you prefer to carry it that way. Again, it's not pocket size, so maybe it's bigger than what you're looking for, but I was also in the market for a pocket size speaker and I quickly changed my mind once I tried the Boom 3i

Playing music in your hotel room is a completely reasonable thing to do. I personally like to catch up on the news when I shower, which is basically impossible with headphones. A speaker would be among the last things I'd cut from my packing list; the QoL is just too nice.

Smaller and lighter than the Stormbox Micro 2 (I own a pair) isn't going to happen if you want anything approaching "listenable" sound. The JBL Go 4 is just "okay," but I think the Soundcore Select 4 Go is much better sounding (I also own one) for less cost.

I think the best golf cart speakers aren’t golf specific at all. I have the Jbl go 4 and we can link 2 or more up at one time and have both carts playing off one phone

Having used 2 generations of all of their portable speaker lines except for the BOOMBOX (GO/CLIP/FLIP/CHARGE/XTREME) along with the PARTYBOX120, the CHARGE series is my personal favorite. Soundguys says it's a "goldilocks" speaker size, still portable enough (the C6 with the handle especially) while packing a decent amount of sound/loudness and I agree. For ultraportables I've always liked the GO series, they're super easy to hold in your hand and feel good. In summary, if buying a JBL speaker right now/I could only have one JBL speaker, I'd go for the CHARGE6 or if portability is the primary concern, the GO4.

Soundcore Select 4 Go is better value but I quite like the GO4. It gets decently loud for it's size and sounds fine, plus it's a premium feeling design, super super portable, and just overall a well thought out product that's easy and convenient to use. The real magic happens when you get 2 to put in stereo though-- the soundstaging then is impressive for a portable speaker.

JBL Go. Newer gens are pretty overpriced imo, older versions were cheaper and sounded great. Buy the clip if you want to hang it but honestly I would just go for the GO.

Even a basic Jbl Go is enough to listen to a podcast in the shower, well unless the bathroom is 30m² and you place the speaker opposite the shower + you lie down with your ears underwater in the bath 😂 WTF

I like the Wonderboom 4 by UE. I have version 2 good sound and a small footprint. Soundcore glow mini should be good. I heard the regular Glow : good sound. JBL go is solid too.

Thanks for sharing. I will check this out for sure! I actually have the JBL Go and really like it but when I’m at home, I want something that is a bit more expansive

The JBL Go will do this job very well and won’t break the bank at all.
