JBL - Go 4

Specifically for shower speaker the Go 4 itself would be a very good deal, but since you'll using for biking also, then the Flip 6 Will be 100% better

So far I have a W-King D8, JBL Go 4, Soundcore Mini 3, Sony HT-S100F Soundbar, an Altec Lansing Hydraboom that I don’t really use anymore, and a busted up Sony SRS-X11 that I also don’t use anymore

I avoid click-bait titles, but having spent a lot of time with the newer Clip 5 and Go 4 from JBL, I was honestly shocked by how well the Select 4 Go performs comparatively, given its $29 price point. Build quality falls a little short of JBL, and the multi-speaker pairing isn't quite as extensive, but still - I've tested a fair amount of speakers, and I'd have a hard time recommending something else for a budget-focused buyer looking for something like the Go 4.

Hey, you can get a JBL Go 4 or a Go 3. I have a Go 3, and it sounds great, but the battery life is shorter (5 hours of playtime). The Go 4 has a longer battery life (7 hours of playtime) and can be controlled by an app. The sound quality is pretty much the same for both speakers. The Go 4 has Auracast, which lets you connect to other speakers that have Auracast.

JBL Go 4 is a little smaller and lighter than the Clip but still has a big sound for the size. This is a good choice if you’re traveling carry-on only or onebag.

Whatever you decide to go with, you should audition the JBL GO 4. Its is 193g and sounds amazing for its size. If you do decide to go larger, you can use the GO 4 as a baseline. I also have the mind blowing Bose Soundflex v2 but at 589g, it’s not fun for my desire to travel minimally. The OP however may find it wonderful dropping from a 3lb speaker to a 1.25lb speaker. But for me, the half pound JBL Go 4 on any trip!

Depending on your bathroom size, flip 6 might give too much overwhelming bass and give bass droning that is gonna make u wanna dig your brains out. Bass is significantly amplified in bathrooms as they are basically built like an echo chamber. A go 3 would be better imo than the go4 too, go 3 has better and much more accurately tuned mids and highs, whereas the go4 has better bass but u rlly don't need that in the shower while sacrificing the rlly good mid and high tuning for more bass u don't need imo. Jbl is working with power constraints here so they had to make compromises to the mids and highs to get more bass out of the lil driver

Not a bunch but a solid group. JBL Encore Essential - Use that for my office when I want loud so that I can focus work or karaoke with my daughter. JBL PartyBox 110 - That’s for the party and for get togethers. Hangout outside and use it. I do also bring the Encore around but the 110 is a better battery life. This doesn’t get used as much as I can’t blast it all the time and the encore and charge 5 are good enough for me on the daily. JBL Charge 5 - I use this the most in my bedroom hanging out using my iPad or laptop. Bring it everywhere when I want music for myself, podcast or movies on the iPad. Definitely my overall favorite. I use it also to fall asleep to listening to podcast or calm music. JBL Go 4- I bring this for trips to listen to podcast, music. It’s so light and easy to pack or pocket. TRIBIT Micro 2 - Also a travel speaker or just bring around my house with me ifI don’t feel like lugging the charge 5 around. My daughter uses it a lot more now because I use my Go 4 if I want to go around with something lighter. I do like the tribit sound better for sure but the Go 4 is so light and easy to bring around and the sound is decent to me. Bose Micro Soundlink - Strictly used as a bathroom speaker now but it so damn good I’ll take my ti,e while in there lol. Sounds amazing still but it uses micro usb so that’s annoying now. Obviously I’m a JBL fan but I’m open to looking at the W KING D20 for beach days because of the price and it uses usb c to charge.

I heard its barely any better than go 3. My select 4 go is so much better than go 3.

For showering and biking, the GO4 should do the job; I have a GO3 strapped to my bike and it works well (I usually have it set to 90% volume when biking in traffic). In your use case the FLIP6's volume wouldn't really be an advantage IMO, but it does have a fuller sound; keep in mind it's much larger than the GO4 though, you'll be going from a pocket-sized speaker to something the size of a small water bottle.

Trust me u can even go through various YouTube videos and compare the sound quality under 2500/- only the mi speaker is best in terms of audio and connectivity no one else even comes close to it , don't get fooled by better reviews or other things of people who have not used the mi speaker or had poor expectations which got met by bad boat or tribit or realme speakers in similar price range. Boat speakers lack details like u will not be able to listein to certain instruments sound etc same gors for other speakers ,jbl go is very bland it has poor audio quality u will only be able to hear mostly vocals.

Also only boat , realme, mi can provide you with bass in this budget of around 2k . Jbl go has nothing to be proud of. Just look by yourself the sound of these speakers on YouTube or something you will have some idea about how they sound if not exactly how they sound . But that will help

For only shower go series is enough, but for anything else Flip will be better (I use my old GO2 for work, biking sometimes and I wish it had more volume especially on the bike or in an open field).

You can always try the used market. And when it's in your area take something with you to test the latency with. I have a JBL Go. The speaker itself is horrendous, lacks a lot of low-end but the latency is not an issue It has a 3.5cm jack and I just tested it. It works. Maybe that is something to try? But remember, the quality is always horrible especially with a single speaker solution as lows and hi's need to go through the same little speaker. I like the Wonderboom 4 by UE. I have version 2 good sound and a small footprint. Soundcore glow mini should be good. I heard the regular Glow : good sound. JBL go is solid too.
