"I use a 310 all the time and don't notice any latency. ... Both a Prime GO and an RX2 with RCA out to 3.5mm on the speaker and never noticed any latency."

"The JBL partybox series have zero delay - if you plug into the daisy chain port"

"The nice thing about the Partybox is that in addition to your typical aux input it also has a daisy chain input. The daisy chain input circumvents the JBL processing and allows the mixer to do it instead ... You can circumvent the processing the Partybox does by using the Daisy Chain input. ... If you use the regular aux-in and not the "Daisy Chain" in (there are two different inputs using 3.5 mm aux), the Partybox does its own processing that causes minor latency from the mixer. No, the JBL PartyBox 310 is great and unrivaled in its segment. Apart from the newer 320s, of course. 😉

Well, if that's the case, then I would advise you to get one or two JBL Partybox 310/320s. Although it's not as loud as the Soundboks go, it sounds more balanced overall and has a nicer deep bass and should be loud enough for small to medium-sized parties. The larger JBL Partybox 520 is due to arrive in May. Maybe it's worth waiting for that. 🤷‍♂️ Of course, if you have the option of connecting the speakers to the power supply outside, you have other options. Then you can also look at professional PA systems.

Yep but this is ment to be a party speaker not full fledge portable and take everywhere. Mostly ment for taking around the house and putting it on your porch and stuff but still could be better.

I have the JBL partybox 310 , it's not portable but size but it has wheels so you can stroll it . But it's crazy good, and it will last a lifetime without failing. It has a signature JBL pro sound which can be a bit bass heavy but not in a boomy way. It's all about prefferences I recommend JBL if you want to be on the safe side No crazy features like a Kia but totally reliable like a Toyota Plus there are now plenty of model PB available based on poweroutput and size .

If size isn't a concern go for the JBL 310. It's a better speaker that costs less than the boombox 3. The Xtreme 3 is underwhelming compared to its competitors. The uboom x sits nicely between the Xtreme and the boombox series and is another speaker I would recommend. The tribit Stormbox blast 2 is also good for the money and probably the closest speaker to the boombox 3. It's not as clear as the boombox 3 but it's significantly cheaper.

I have both a Partybox 310 and a 120. In my at-home setup one speaker is connected to a pioneer vm-70 monitor speaker with close to zero delay, and the other speaker is one of the partyboxes. I notice a very tiny delay on both partyboxes, probs in the double digit milliseconds, not horrible but you notice it a tiny bit compared to a pair of monitors. You can use the partyboxes perfectly fine at parties, guests won't notice it

I bring my Partybox 310 to one venue where I play. Besides keeping the master volume down as Bohica suggests, I also keep the bass down and boost the treble.

If there is somewhere reasonably safe to store them and you can justify the massive space they take up, the JBL Partybox line are pretty great past the 110 size. I have a 310 in my shed and love it.

I’m looking to buy a new portable bluetooth speaker with some solid bass and pretty clear sound. I’m not an audiophile by any means but can tell the difference between quality sound. I have tried several bluetooth speakers in the past such as the beats pill, jbl flip 6, jbl charge 5, sonos move 2, treblab hd 360, and jbl party box 310. Out of the ones i’ve tried, the sonos move is my favorite in terms of size, design and sound. the jbl party box obviously sounds the best for me in terms of bass but is a bit too big for me. the other speakers I have tried were too small/ lacked the clean bass I like. I really enjoy the sound of those two speakers because it is very clear and solid sounding with pounding bass without sounding cheap. what would be a solid speaker for me to buy preferably something portable, durable, has solid bass, and under $400? Also, i am not someone who really cares about having a flat balanced sound signature or accurate sound and all that. if it sounds good and solid then i like it. i guess i prefer the sound signature of companies like sonos, jbl, and harmon kardon. it would also be useful to mention that i usually listen to rap, hip hop, trap, pop, rnb, and stuff like that. that may be why i prefer the speakers that i do since these music genres usually have a lot of bass/treble.

Well a partybox 710 would be killer for your use case and fits within your budget easily, if you wnana up a notch, you can go for the partybox ultimate but that costs quite a lot more. Either way both will be plenty loud for your use case. The partybox ultimate would give a tad more of that deep bass, clarity, loudness, basically turning everything up to 11🔥🤣 If it's too large for you, you can explore their partybox 320 or 310 on sale. Both are very similar but 320 has removable battery but costs more. If that's still too big, a jbl boombox 3 or a wking x20(slightly lower audio quality but higher peak volumes) would be ok still but depending on how loud your environment is, these smaller ones might not suffice. If you have a outlet and won't need the speakers to be easily portable, the partybox 710 and ultimate would be for you. If you wanna lower the budget a bit and wanna have options for battery and better portability(these 2 both have a luggage like handle and small wheels) you can go for the partybox 310 or 320. If you wanna have the best portability and battery you can go for the jbl boombox 3 or wking x20(for more volume instead)

You can probably get 2 jbl partybox 310 or 320 on sale, those will be awesome and adequate. 1 might be enough volume wise if in a small room but it would sound wierd as sound is only coming from 1 speaker, 2 will definitely work in 90% of conditions

I can confirm that Partybox 310 doesnt have any latency, however aux input sucks as it degrades the sound quality as compared to bluetooth. You could use guitar jack as a workaround, but it adds "colouring" to the sound.

It sounds like you don't need the durability of the "portable" lineup (IP67 waterproof/dustproof), I would look at the PB 310 for it's good balance of loudness, battery life, and pretty good sound. For reference, the Encore is about 4db louder than the Xtreme3, while the 310 is about 10db louder than the X3. The 110/120 sits in the middle at around 3db louder than the Encore.

I use a 310 all the time and don't notice any latency. Both a Prime GO and an RX2 with RCA out to 3.5mm on the speaker and never noticed any latency. If you're concerned and still want one big portable speaker I'd check out a Soundboks. I've used those as well with no latency.

I have em. Sound is ok at best. Fine for some background music while working on something the garage/driveway, but almost no bass, and not loud enough for any sort of gathering. For a fraction of the cost, a decent Bluetooth speaker would be MUCH better, and more useful for life in general.

I just don’t see the value in the tailgate speakers. They’re ok at best in my opinion. Not very loud, not much bass, rarely useful, and WAY overpriced at $800. The sub sounds excellent and I use it daily, so I’m very pleased with that purchase. But if I had it to do over again, I’d get something like a portable JBL party box over the tailgate speakers, which is half the price, 5x the sound power and clarity, and portable making it useful in many other situations beyond when I’m within listening distance of my tailgate.

As another commenter mentioned, about the only positive is the wow factor when showing off your truck. But any time spent using these will likely lead you to disappointment. I seriously can’t recommend the sub enough though. It’s not overpowering like a sound system from my teenage days, but compliments the existing stereo perfectly with just the right amount of bass, while the custom designed enclosure fits the truck perfectly and still creates a bit of storage space. Get the sub and a party box Bluetooth instead of the multipro and you’ll be pleased all the way around.

For practicing at home: even small 3" bookshelfs suffice like a Presonus Eris 3.5. The point is there must be relevant bass as low as about 80hz. For parties: get a good partybox which does have a non DSP input (so it does not cause delay) and has a line level output for the Presonuses you bring for monitoring :) (as you cannot connect monitors to the FLX4)

You need a RCA >> 1/4 cord. You won't find a lot of portable speakers with RCA inputs. I'd recommend a JBL Partybox. They are a great value, but they are't on Prime Day sale.

I've used 2 party box speakers as my main left/right and studio speakers as my monitors, with no discernable latency issues between the mains and monitors. NOTE: I had both partyboxes plugged into power, because I noticed that they are quieter and not ass punchy when running off their battery.

Singa made a video during Halloween where they featured a JBL: [https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA](https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA) They seem to be using the JBL PartyBox with microphones. I have used this myself and you just have to connect the Partybox through Bluetooth to your TV! No need for a mixer. I think Ultimate works in the same way. Then download the karaoke app on your TV or have it through a laptop that you connect with HDMI.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

Soundboks works great. I'm in a traveling baseball team, and every team has speakers. Most of the speakers don't impress me. JBL PartyBox is a good option entry level with good sound quality and budget friendly. Different size options and different budget options as well. Soundboks seems to be the best option out there, but pricing seems a bit steep. You get the loudest DB in battery-powered speakers I can find with the loudest highs and bass. The sound quality is excellent. Bose S1 Pro I'm highly impressed with it. The output and size from such a small package it's really sounds impressive all around, definitely a winner in sound quality. Other than the 3 mentioned, either I haven't discovered another good portable battery-powered speaker option, or they're not impressive enough for me to research and look them up. So, for now, these 3 are my personal recommendations. If anyone has some additional input or recommendations, I'd love to see them. It is always good to know other options in the future.

If you input through the daisy chain there's no delay. I run two of these for my mobile setup. Hardest part is splitting the audio to mono aux left and right, otherwise stereo will play out of both. I use RCA into a RCA to Aux converter.

I just use regular RCA cables as long as I need, which keeps it simple and cheap and then have two adapters at the partybox into port. I don't know where I got mine, but linked is the same thing. I haven't run a party with this setup yet, but I've tested it at home. I think the only thing I've noticed is that the output is quieter per speaker. I can't tell if this is because the mono signal only fires out of one side of the speaker or if splitting the left and right makes it inherently quieter. Still loud enough to use. My simple home karaoke setup works for me and will probably work for you, too. Been doing home karaoke parties for YEARS and people LOVE our setup. Simple and clean. Laptop, JBL PartyBox portable speaker, wireless mics The laptop runs karafun and plays the music through the surround sound. Wireless mics plug into portable speaker for vocals, so they can be adjusted as desired.
