I have them and use them. The sound is very hollow and not great, but when I am working they do the trick and are always there. They came with the truck, I wouldn’t option them separately. Edit: for the price I would get a JBL Partybox 710 or 1000. I have the 710 and it isn’t even in the same universe as the tailgate speakers. Although, dragging it around all the time isn’t really convenient.
gmcsierra • Multi pro tailgate speakers ->Jbl partyboxes are some of the hardest hitting loud asf speakers with good quality audio in the market. Do you have a budget ud like to stick to or dou you want the best of the best😎😎
Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest Bluetooth Speakers? ->Well a partybox 710 would be killer for your use case and fits within your budget easily, if you wnana up a notch, you can go for the partybox ultimate but that costs quite a lot more. Either way both will be plenty loud for your use case. The partybox ultimate would give a tad more of that deep bass, clarity, loudness, basically turning everything up to 11🔥🤣 If it's too large for you, you can explore their partybox 320 or 310 on sale. Both are very similar but 320 has removable battery but costs more. If that's still too big, a jbl boombox 3 or a wking x20(slightly lower audio quality but higher peak volumes) would be ok still but depending on how loud your environment is, these smaller ones might not suffice. If you have a outlet and won't need the speakers to be easily portable, the partybox 710 and ultimate would be for you. If you wanna lower the budget a bit and wanna have options for battery and better portability(these 2 both have a luggage like handle and small wheels) you can go for the partybox 310 or 320. If you wanna have the best portability and battery you can go for the jbl boombox 3 or wking x20(for more volume instead)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Loudest Bluetooth Speakers? ->The party box 710 slaps
Bluetooth_Speakers • What Is The Best Speaker Brand? ->Right here, brother. [2x JBL Partybox 710's](https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Bluetooth-Splashproof-JBLPARTYBOX710AM-MicroFiber/dp/B0CPQV4QFR). You can link them together to get stereo sound.
audio • Best speaker (prefer Bluetooth capability) f... ->I have an Ultimate Ears Hyperboom, and a JBL PartyBox 710. They’ve both been great. The JBL will blow your ears out if you’re not careful, though
BuyItForLife • Bluetooth speaker? All mine end up wi... ->I have Partybox 100s and 710s as well as hooking then up with a Soundboks, no audible latency using auxiliary.
DJs • Wanting to settle a matter once and for all: L... ->Singa made a video during Halloween where they featured a JBL: [https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA](https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA) They seem to be using the JBL PartyBox with microphones. I have used this myself and you just have to connect the Partybox through Bluetooth to your TV! No need for a mixer. I think Ultimate works in the same way. Then download the karaoke app on your TV or have it through a laptop that you connect with HDMI.
karaoke • JBL Party box Ultimate karaoke setup HELPPP ->You need a RCA >> 1/4 cord. You won't find a lot of portable speakers with RCA inputs. I'd recommend a JBL Partybox. They are a great value, but they are't on Prime Day sale.
Beatmatch • Best Portable Party Speaker - Prime Day ... ->I've used 2 party box speakers as my main left/right and studio speakers as my monitors, with no discernable latency issues between the mains and monitors. NOTE: I had both partyboxes plugged into power, because I noticed that they are quieter and not ass punchy when running off their battery.
DJs • Wanting to settle a matter once and for all: L... ->I’ve used a JBL party box with auxiliary from my xdj before, there was definitely a delay between the mixer and the speaker…first few mixes were atrocious! took a while to get the hang of it
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->If you sprung for the Omnis Duo you might as well get a Wave-Eight. It will sound 1000× better than any dinky little Bluetooth speaker like that. Ok, but now that I've fully read your post (lol sorry) I would probably recommend one of the smaller JBL party boxes, assuming they have the daisy chain input/function. Edit: Sadly the Partybox Encore does not appear to have the daisy chain input. Unfortunate.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->Some speakers like the JBL Partybox have their own processing going on so there's a slight delay. The nice thing about the Partybox is that in addition to your typical aux input it also has a daisy chain input. The daisy chain input circumvents the JBL processing and allows the mixer to do it instead, but then it's also just on at the highest level and the master on the mixer is what controls the volume. So yeah, your speaker is probably doing some kind of processing that affects the latency of what actually comes out.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->The JBL partybox series have zero delay - if you plug into the daisy chain port
PioneerDJ • Travel speakers ->I have em. Sound is ok at best. Fine for some background music while working on something the garage/driveway, but almost no bass, and not loud enough for any sort of gathering. For a fraction of the cost, a decent Bluetooth speaker would be MUCH better, and more useful for life in general.
gmcsierra • Multi pro tailgate speakers ->I just don’t see the value in the tailgate speakers. They’re ok at best in my opinion. Not very loud, not much bass, rarely useful, and WAY overpriced at $800. The sub sounds excellent and I use it daily, so I’m very pleased with that purchase. But if I had it to do over again, I’d get something like a portable JBL party box over the tailgate speakers, which is half the price, 5x the sound power and clarity, and portable making it useful in many other situations beyond when I’m within listening distance of my tailgate.
gmcsierra • Multi pro tailgate speakers ->As another commenter mentioned, about the only positive is the wow factor when showing off your truck. But any time spent using these will likely lead you to disappointment. I seriously can’t recommend the sub enough though. It’s not overpowering like a sound system from my teenage days, but compliments the existing stereo perfectly with just the right amount of bass, while the custom designed enclosure fits the truck perfectly and still creates a bit of storage space. Get the sub and a party box Bluetooth instead of the multipro and you’ll be pleased all the way around.
gmcsierra • Multi pro tailgate speakers ->Soundboks works great. I'm in a traveling baseball team, and every team has speakers. Most of the speakers don't impress me. JBL PartyBox is a good option entry level with good sound quality and budget friendly. Different size options and different budget options as well. Soundboks seems to be the best option out there, but pricing seems a bit steep. You get the loudest DB in battery-powered speakers I can find with the loudest highs and bass. The sound quality is excellent. Bose S1 Pro I'm highly impressed with it. The output and size from such a small package it's really sounds impressive all around, definitely a winner in sound quality. Other than the 3 mentioned, either I haven't discovered another good portable battery-powered speaker option, or they're not impressive enough for me to research and look them up. So, for now, these 3 are my personal recommendations. If anyone has some additional input or recommendations, I'd love to see them. It is always good to know other options in the future.
Beatmatch • Best battery powered speakers? ->There are a few ways you can go, really depends on budget and how deep you want to go and what your space is like. The gym I go to just has one of those Bluetooth party speakers which works fine, it's a smaller space and fills it okay. If I was setting up my own space and I'd do something more substantial but I'm a bit of an audio nerd. You can get some stereo amplifiers and in ceiling speakers would be the ideal setup. The size of your space is going to dictate how many speakers you need but you could consult with a local audio installer or post some more specifics for better advice. It ultimately comes down to your space and your budget, or just keep it simple and use a Bluetooth speaker like the JBL partybox.
bjj • Speaker systems for gyms ->For practicing at home: even small 3" bookshelfs suffice like a Presonus Eris 3.5. The point is there must be relevant bass as low as about 80hz. For parties: get a good partybox which does have a non DSP input (so it does not cause delay) and has a line level output for the Presonuses you bring for monitoring :) (as you cannot connect monitors to the FLX4)
PioneerDJ • Good speakers for mixing at home/small p... ->If you input through the daisy chain there's no delay. I run two of these for my mobile setup. Hardest part is splitting the audio to mono aux left and right, otherwise stereo will play out of both. I use RCA into a RCA to Aux converter.
PioneerDJ • Good speakers for mixing at home/small p... ->I just use regular RCA cables as long as I need, which keeps it simple and cheap and then have two adapters at the partybox into port. I don't know where I got mine, but linked is the same thing. I haven't run a party with this setup yet, but I've tested it at home. I think the only thing I've noticed is that the output is quieter per speaker. I can't tell if this is because the mono signal only fires out of one side of the speaker or if splitting the left and right makes it inherently quieter. Still loud enough to use. PioneerDJ • Good speakers for mixing at home/small p... ->The JBL PartyBoxes consume so much power at party volume that they are mainly intended to be plugged in. The rechargeable battery is just an extra, I think. 🤷🏻♂️

PioneerDJ • 8yo got a FLX4 for Christmas! (need spea... ->I use a JBL partybox. Has aux input, has a battery for portability (goes well with a portable FLX4) and has really good bass and is loud enough.
PioneerDJ • 8yo got a FLX4 for Christmas! (need spea... ->Here's the problem. The Partybox will sound better and have deeper bass, but the Soundboks will get about 2-3x louder. A lot of this depends how much area you need to cover. Also the Partybox might be a stretch at 10 hours as it will probably be running closer to full blast, although a power bank could help it last longer. I generally say if it's under 50 people then the Partybox is fine, otherwise go for the Soundboks or another option from here https://www.speakerranking.com/portable-party-speakers/ Check out the ranking of nearly every single Bluetooth speaker and the best EQ tuning for each of them [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/WirelessSpeakers/comments/16zs2ol/ranking_all_battery_powered_wireless_speakers/)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Teufel Rockster Air 2 vs JBL Pa... ->JBL Partybox! Easy to cary with the handle, super powerful, excellent audio quality, good battery and can run on ac outlet, can be paired with other partybox and well build.
Bluetooth_Speakers • DJ looking for portable speaker... ->Harmon Kardon’s eBay page has refurbished boombox 2’s with a manufacturers warranty for $240. They also have Partybox’s new and refurbished with warranties $300-$400. The Partybox is your best bet if size is not an option.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Highest quality SOUND for under... ->The party box will always sound fuller especially the higher the volume and you’ll hear the bass from further away. It really depends on your use case though. If you need it to be rugged and have long battery life the boombox is your best bet. You can fashion a shoulder strap for it I did on my OG boombox. It performs its best with a lot of hard surfaces near it like cement floors, walls. Not so good in wide open outdoor spaces. For wide open spaces party boxes are the answer. I have a BB1 and an Xtreme 2. Both together I can get away with about 10ish people being loud and about 30 feet away in open space BBQing at the park before it’s noticeably weaker than I want it to be. This can be good if you don’t want to disturb people around you though. I’m thinking of getting a Partybox 120 if it goes on sale.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Highest quality SOUND for under... ->I highly recommend a JBL boombox 2 or 3. I have the first generation and it’s great. If you want to save money go for the Tribit Storm Box Blast. For fully water proof those are the best options. They will all definitely be loud enough. If you want louder and don’t care about water proofing go for the jbl Partybox series.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Boat Bluetooth recommendations? ->Look for a new or refurbished JBL Partybox and avoid the Partybox on the go model and you will be happy. Check out Harmon Kardon’s eBay page they own JBl and sell their speakers new and factory refurbished. For that much you could get a Partybox 110 either new or refurbished for a few bucks less. If you don’t want JBL then check out the W-King X20. It’s the loudest non Partybox you can get around that price point. It’s really loud and heavy AF for its size.
Bluetooth_Speakers • A good party speaker under 300$ ->Does it have to be water proof? Are you planning on taking it out or keeping it inside the house or both? Do you want huge sound or background music or the ability for both. If it’s large sound JBL partyboxes are king. If you want to keep it portable. I suggest a JBL Boombox. If it’s just for inside the house and you aren’t planning on loud music the Harmon Kardon go + play 3 is great or a JBL authentic 300 or 500.
Bluetooth_Speakers • bose or jbl or sonos? ->wpuld say either harbinger vari or JBL partybox, JBL is gonna have a more complete sound out of the box but you'll be able to upgrade down the line with the harbinger to have a subwoofer, and maybe a second PA. even so, outdoor parties with 300 guests means that you're not gonna fill the whole space at your budget, but maybe that's not what you really needed. if you're planning on going bigger/more professional, get that 2000W PA and start saving. If not, the partybox will be just fine.
Beatmatch • Versatile Speaker Set Up for Parties ->got to connect to one of these for a bday party over the weekend. the thing could be heard across an acre of open field! might be buying one myself
Bluetooth_Speakers • bose or jbl or sonos? ->My simple home karaoke setup works for me and will probably work for you, too. Been doing home karaoke parties for YEARS and people LOVE our setup. Simple and clean. Laptop, JBL PartyBox portable speaker, wireless mics The laptop runs karafun and plays the music through the surround sound. Wireless mics plug into portable speaker for vocals, so they can be adjusted as desired.
