I ended up returning it, as the sound was so unbalanced. Music is NOT about ground shaking bass. Also, gimmicky clap and DJ sounds is a clear sign this is not a speaker for the actual music.
Dude, I have the 120 and yes, it is quite loud for its size in the socket, so it is unbearable. I believe you expected more from a box that already delivers a lot.
I have one 120 too. And itās fun and loud.
You should look into JBL Partybox 120 I have 2. Been the talk of every party Iāve brought them to
Jbl Partybox 120 is very good Kinda big, but itās easy to carry around Loud, bass boost deep, itās nice
Get two 120s, put a microphone in each Karaoke was crazy at my Thanksgiving loll
If he still need rumbling bass, then choose deep bass +movie equalizer, it makes huge difference
If you're traveling with it that much, I wouldn't do the 320. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass. Two 120s would be great, or even two encore 2s. Those encores sound surprisingly well, and theyre really portable. Oh, and as for the handle on the 120, it's fine. It's sturdy enough to carry around the house or outside, but I wouldn't wanna walk a long distance with it. Too heavy for that.
Are you having a rave where you have the music so loud you can't think? I have a 120 and have had multiple parties with 15+ people. It's more than loud enough. For outdoor movies, two 120s would be great in stereo. That's all you need IMO.
I don't know what you expect from a speaker with drivers of this size. IMO it sounds great for what it is. I've had outdoor parties with around 20 people and it is plenty loud. Maybe if I was 20 years old and wanted to BLAST it with 30-40 of my friends, then I'd be unhappy and upgrade. But overall this is perfect. Sounds like you need a 520 or 720.
About 4" from the wall, or in a corner, plus bass boost set to deep š
