I sing a lot. This is the best quality speaker for a quick singing moment. My setup is 65” TV, Apple TV, YouTube App, JBL Party Box w/ 2 mics. The gain on the mics is amazing.

I use the mics that came with the speaker. They’re quality mics. Just needed to tweak echo, base, etc.

JBL Partybox Encore, it's way bigger than most other mentioned. But sounds good and has a lot of bass.

Refurb JBL PartyBox Encore from their official eBay account. It’s big but sounds incredible and they often have sales, got mine for $120.

Yeah that's my issue ; really wanna just get the 6 because of the quality, not the BS but now seeing the Soundcores are louder , idk if I should just get an Encore instead of wait and actually get a nice Bookshelf pair for my player.

Oh absolutely 💯💯💯 That's why I was alluding to that instead of getting the charge 6 like I've been planning too but now that I've seen the soundcore does go louder. I mindswell spend the extra whatever for the encore with the %20 off it's not much more but again at that price point I really need to just get some speakers for my table

I have a lot of speakers, probably too many. My favorite portable speaker that gets loud and easy to move around, the JBL PartyBox Encore. For being half the size of a PartyBox 310, it’s plenty loud.

No way you’d pick this over a PartyBox. I tried a boombox out and it was underwhelming so I returned it. I tried a PartyBox and now I have three of them.

If bass and loudness are your only concern, get a party box! Whatever the largest size is in your budget. I have an encore and certainly can feel the bass if indoors, but nothing to crazy. I also have a 320 and that thing you can feel inside or out, and it will absolutely rattle your walls and cabinets if your inside.

Never buy a speaker made by a battery company. The corners they are willing to cut will be immense since they have 0 reputation in audio. They have nothing to loose and your money to gain. Do yourself a favor and get a JBL Partybox encore or 120 and it will guarantee destroy this speaker. JBL won’t cut corners on the important audio gear. JBL’s packaging is a plain cardboard box with a large sticker of the speaker infront. Those are the corners JBL would cut not on the amp speakers or housing.

Glad you showed a real proof of how the sony is🤣 Well, you will get more punch out of a JBL partybox encore, Partybox 120, even boombox 3 / 3 wifi, also Harman Kardon go + play 3.

Brane x is the only thing out there that can play low enough to handle riddm/dubstep/freeform bass music and be moved around by a "dainty person" full stop. Modern bass music can dip below 30hz and the brane x is the only speaker that is equipped to do it justice thats less than like 3ft tall. My harmon kardon go play 3 does a decent job as well and is easier to find locally. Same with the jbl partybox encore. But the brane x plays a full half octave lower. Note that the battery life of the brane x (and most bt speakers) at full volume isn't going to be that long. You can solve this with a portable power box if you have the space. I use a Milwaukee top up inverter and milwaukee power tool batteries to extend the battery of the go play 3 all day at any volume. Best of luck Edit: just to keep expectations in check, no bluetooth speaker is going to give you full body vibrations or whatever, you might feel a little thump in your chest indoors. Ive heard a partybox ultimate at full tits and its a fart in the wind compared to what you might be hoping for.. but the brane x will play all the notes in the music and sound satisfying.

If those are your only options, go with either one of the Encores but none of these will be ideal for filling such a large space with sound. For reference the Partybox120 would be the minimum I'd reccomend. The XTREME4 is not a bad speaker but it won't be able to fill the space and it sounds very sharp and compressed at high volumes-- not exactly a pleasant sound especially for bass-heavy music. The Encores get slightly louder IIRC and sound better at high volumes (given the area you're looking to fill, you'll probably be using them close to max volume). If you don't need the microphones or the easily replaceable battery, you can save some money and go with the Encore Essential 2. Alternatively, I think a portable PA speaker may be better suited for your use case. A small portable PA like the Alto Busker or Mackie Thump Go will likely get louder than the Encores while still retaining the portability sounding good enough. And if you have more room in your budget check out the Bose S1 Pro or JBL EON ONE Compact for even better sound.

The JBL partybox series have zero delay - if you plug into the daisy chain port

r/PioneerDJ • Travel speakers ->
Negative
Reddit Icon
DJGibbon • 6 months ago

Depends on the speaker. Some of the delay is caused by Bluetooth, and some by the DSP (signal processing) - aux will bypass the Bluetooth, but not necessarily the DSP. Some speakers have minimal-to-zero lag on the aux (Minirig, Tribit Stormbox Blast) and some still have significant. For example I believe some of the JBL PartyBoxes have lag on the aux in but not on the daisychain as that bypasses the DSP :)

What Adam says, the smaller JBL series have a passive membrane which serves as the Subwoofer, but its in no way as controllable Like a normal Driver. the ones inwould recommend are from the partybox series, they have sizeable drivers and two tweeters for the high frequencies

The direct modern equivalent would be a larger Bluetooth speaker. These min stereos weren't amazing quality, but they weren't cheap junk either. From what I've seen, the amplifiers and the speaker drivers were built pretty well on those upper-midrange micro stereos. Just like a JBL PartyBox. Meant to get loud, decent bass, but not audiophile quality.

Singa made a video during Halloween where they featured a JBL: [https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA](https://youtube.com/shorts/tHW6meQfqIA) They seem to be using the JBL PartyBox with microphones. I have used this myself and you just have to connect the Partybox through Bluetooth to your TV! No need for a mixer. I think Ultimate works in the same way. Then download the karaoke app on your TV or have it through a laptop that you connect with HDMI.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

I am required to always recommend JBL after I had a OnStage that I put through the ringer for 10 years in my garage and it now lives a quiet life as my mother in laws TV speaker. I have a large JBL partybox for my pool and the sound is great, durability, all the above. Every time I have used another bluetooth speaker from a different company I've always been disappointed in some way or another. They are pricey but kind of a buy once, cry once sort of thing.

Soundboks works great. I'm in a traveling baseball team, and every team has speakers. Most of the speakers don't impress me. JBL PartyBox is a good option entry level with good sound quality and budget friendly. Different size options and different budget options as well. Soundboks seems to be the best option out there, but pricing seems a bit steep. You get the loudest DB in battery-powered speakers I can find with the loudest highs and bass. The sound quality is excellent. Bose S1 Pro I'm highly impressed with it. The output and size from such a small package it's really sounds impressive all around, definitely a winner in sound quality. Other than the 3 mentioned, either I haven't discovered another good portable battery-powered speaker option, or they're not impressive enough for me to research and look them up. So, for now, these 3 are my personal recommendations. If anyone has some additional input or recommendations, I'd love to see them. It is always good to know other options in the future.

as others have mentioned, the jbl partybox series is great for this. hard to go wrong with them. but there are good models from sony and bose that offer similar features, too. you'll want to search for things like 'best karaoke speakers' or 'best Bluetooth pa speaker' to get an idea for what's out there.

Most jbl and sony partyboxes can do that, with sony even their boomboxes line ult field 7. You could also look for radios if you want a display and/or remote if you want to play a lot from usb, this is much more convenient to navigate trough songs.

I have a JBL PartyBox.. I forget which model but it was like $500... It will rock my whole neighborhood if I wanted. It's pretty big and heavy, but it has a handle and wheels. I think the charge lasts like 16 hour so I bring it to the drive on beach.. my son's practices.. outdoor parties. Well worth it in my opinion.
