JBL extreme 3 Have it now already for more as 1 year and super sound, can stand some rain. My son has the smaller version from jbl also perfect sound .
yup, i read somewhere that some companies pay them to give positive reviews. you can try demoing the charge 6 at a store and turn it up, its treble is bright and harsh but not detailed. also if you plan on using bluetooth, i noticed my jbl xtreme 3 and boombox 3 have weird treble artefacts that cause it to sound grainy and slightly distorted. not very noticeable and i'm personally ok with it, but if you have a sharp ear you may be bothered by it
I found a JBL extreme 3 for $187 renewed on Amazon, it has an EQ so you can mess around with that to your taste and if it doesn’t turn out good, you can return it https://a.co/d/3uWjFFT
If you're strictly limited to Bluetooth I'd recommend the JBL Xtreme 3 or even the Boom 2 If you don't mind a plug in, the Sonos era 100 is a great option
The X600 sound clarity is great but if we're looking at something similar with better bass the JBL Xtreme 3 and Sony Ult Field 5 are much better Just on Bass the Boom 2 also outperforms this
Thanks for the answers. Read a few reviews and got the JBL Xtreme 3
JBL Flip 4 JBL Xtreme 3 SONY Ult Field 7 The performance overall in each one, has been more than satisfactory.
Would perhaps you care to specify the exact specs of the speakers and the amp? I got the Flip 6 recently which is pretty much identical to the Flip 7 sound wise and I was vastly disappointed with its' outdoors capacity. It is a small room/apartment speaker at most. The Charge 5/6 delivers great performance/portability ratio. The Xtreme 3 was a huge letdown outdoors as well, you just expect more from a speaker of that size. I never owned a Boombox but from what I read it is a huge upgrade on the Xtreme. So if size/portability is secondary to you - don't cheap out and get the Boombox. If portability is important go with the Charge 6.
Jbl xtreme 3 get one on ebay for $160 to $200 great bass and sound and has a strap that goes around like a bag.
Im an amateur audiophile, in the sense that sound quality is always something I prioritize, but i value a product that can take a beating, from impact and weather. I recently survived a scooter crash, fractured my leg, and my JBL Xtreme3 went FLYING. It doesnt look pretty but it sounds like it did when i bought it 3 years ago. It was raining too! So i guess depending on how this new boombox sounds, im probably going for it
I’ve had UE, JBL, and Bose. My JBL Xtreme 3 has been tougher, sounds decent enough (Bose sounded better), and is legitimately waterproof.
