I have 2 of the Mackie thump go. They sound great for the price, and are easy to carry. I can carry both mackies, stands, and the prime go in one trip (shoulder bag with prime go, compact stands, and a speaker in either hand). You get 4-5 hours of full volume playback, more at moderate levels. I've gotten 6-7 hrs at about 75%. I also use some 2.4ghz wireless transmitters (not Bluetooth!) for a completely wireless setup.
r/DenonPrime • Speaker for beach/small party Dj Prime Go ->I just bought one for this purpose Mackie Thump Go - it’s £400 for one but really great for a small party I took it on Holliday recently and it did well inside for a party and by the pool! It’s also got a battery so you can do a bit of DJing without power - as long as your decks will run without mains power
r/DJs • Portable Speakers for Travel ->I have a pair of Mackie Thump Go’s that work great for mobile gigs that size. They’re battery powered but can also be plugged in which is super nice. You can get a pair for close to $600
r/DJs • Portable Speakers with strong and clear sound for outdoor partys? ->I enjoy the Mackie Thump Go speakers. They meet my needs for a portable solution, but definitely don't compete with any system that has a large powered sub.
r/DJs • Low latency, battery powered, compact yet powerful full frequency range speaker recommendations (that aren't Minirig)? ->i can’t speak about the Bluetooth receiver but I’ve used a single Mackie Thump Go wired with my Mixstream Pro Go and it’s been great so far! Highly recommend.
r/DenonPrime • Speaker for beach/small party Dj Prime Go ->If you want bass you need a sub. Expecting any sort of decent bass out of a portable speaker it a huge ask. They already struggle with being loud, and them having less bass is to leave room to push it louder. In the private events/wedding industry, a speaker like the Bose S1, Everse 8, Mackie Thump Go, etc, are used for cocktail hour and ceremonies. Something a bit better could be a column speaker system that has a sub, but even those rarely compare to a good PA. The cost of an Everse 8 or 12 could get you a good PA speaker like the QSC K12.2 or similar. It would be loud, throw sound super far, and last forever. I would then look for a 15in or 18in subwoofer. Like if you want to feel bass thump your chest, you need at least an 18.
r/Beatmatch • Portable DJ Speaker Recommendations ->Mackie Thump Go?...Good choice too and load of inputs for that flexibility if you're after something on the larger size.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Need loud portable Bluetooth speaker with great bass ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
