For the size and price at 99 if on sale its not that bad, doe it sound good? No, but 2 of these is actually not bad. Its meant for people on the go really, for the size, its quite nice for traveling and 2 of it goes with me due to luggage capacity with the kids. These small speakers my man isnt for best sound, hifi, bass, etc its really for travelling. If you want good sound you gotta pay for it, and dont gimme me partyboxes lol. I rather listen to my tufton all day, clarity and bass sound sooo good on the tufton. I cant wait til tufton 2 releases, prolly another year or two there hella laggin.

Soundboks Go if you want something more 'portable'. Super loud. Marshall Tufton more portable and still very loud.

So marshall will soon release their own party sized, portable bluetooth speaker : the Bromley 750 Some stats, along with other relevant bluetooth speakers : ||Bromley 750|Partybox 320|Soundbox 3|Tufton| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Drivers |2x150W 10" woofers, 2x50W 5.25" mids, 2x7W 1" tweeters, 2x.8" 14W tweeters|2x6.5" woofers, 2x1"tweeters|2x10" woofers, 2x1"tweeters|1x40W 5.25" woofer, 2x15W mids, 1x10W .8" tweeters| |Total power |440 W|240W |215 W|80 W| |Freq response |20-20k Hz|40-20k Hz|40-20k Hz|40-20k Hz| |Battery |40 hrs|18 hrs|40 hrs|20 hrs| |Price|1000€|500€|1000€|450€| Althought it's pretty expensive, I must say i'm really hyped for this. On paper, it has the potential to be an amazing speaker. I did put the tufton here because i'm really used to it, and for me it's amazing for it's size. The lack of midrange has never been that much of an issue for me, mostly listening to quite bassy music, for example techno. Seeing that the bromley has 4 differents types of drivers, i think the frequency response will be much better. I have listened to the soundbox in the past, it goes pretty loud but the low end doesn't really follow at high volumes, so i hope this will not be the case here. On the tufton there is no problem on this side, so one can only hope. The bromley max volume @ 1m is announced at 127 dB! Seems very high, Soundbox is announced at 126 dB, but mesured at 110 (source : Rting.com). Tufton is announced at 102 for 94 measured, and the partybox is mesured at 105 by the same source. Speaking of look, i think they really nailed it. Feels less gimmicky than jbl speakers, for me at least. Excluding shitty AI slop, I didn't see any real conversation on this upcoming speaker online, so what do you think about it ?

Really depends on what you need. The Marshall Emberton 2 is great for sounds and size. I like it better than the newer Emberton 3 since it's also cheaper now. You can usually find them discounted to $89. It's a small speaker that sounds bigger than it is. Submersible in water even. Stereo sound, not mono like many other small speakers. The Marshall Tufton is older, but punches so far above it's size it's crazy. It compares to larger Party speakers twice it's size. It's hefty at about 10 lbs. It's pricey at $475, but was recently on sale at Amazon for $365. Splash resistant so light rain is okay, but you can't get it soaked. Stereo sound and an aux input. The Sony Ult 5 can be found for $150-160 online if you shop around. Retails at around $230. Great sounding beach speaker with lights and pretty decent bass. Excellent dust and water resistance so it's a great take anywhere speaker. Cool design that's simple and convenient with a carrying strap. Stereo sound and aux input. JBL Boombox 3- loud, pretty clear, and very waterproof. Another beach friendly speaker. Pricey but if you need something loud, this is up there. Honestly, it depends on what you are looking for since there's soooo much out there. I like Marshall for the looks and insanely good build quality and battery longevity. You can leave them for six months untouched and battery doesn't lose a beat. Sony and JBL also have high build quality and pretty good batteries. You pay more for these brands, especially Marshall. There are some Tribit and Anker Soundcore ones that you can get for less that sound almost as good or just as good as some higher priced brands too. It will come down to what you need and are willing to spend.

I received the speaker yesterday, paid for the overnight shipping because I was so excited. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the power of the speaker. Whether the speaker is plugged in vs running on battery, there's no difference in loudness or fullness of the sound. I reached out to support and they verified that plugging in the speaker does not increase the power or wattage to the speaker. Most battery powered speakers increase their power while plugged in which is what I was hoping for. I currently own the Marshall Tufton, JBL Authentics 500, and a JBL 320 partybox. The Bromley is much louder than it's smaller sibling, the tufton, but the JBL 320 partybox is louder than the Bromley at less than half the price (when plugged in). Unplugged, the Bromley does sound louder/better/fuller than the partybox 320. Besides this and not having wifi, the Bromely is a beautiful speaker and still has plenty of sound for a medium sized room. Oh, and aux or other wired connections do boost the sound a bit vs bluetooth.

Happy to help! I still love my tufton and probably never sell it. The Bromley still sounds great, it has the same lively sound of a Marshall speaker that you probably like. It's definitely louder than the tufton, but I know it's capable of being twice as loud if Marshall allowed it to use full power from being plugged in. After another day of use, the Bromley is growing on me and I think I'll still keep it. If they release a Bromley 2, I'd just ask for adding wifi for lossless streaming support and boosting the power when plugged in. That would make it a perfect speaker.

r/Bluetooth_SpeakersI wonder why Ultimate Ears struggles to perform as well as JBL

It's because their design is broken in terms of acoustics. 360° is fine and all, but even marshall 360° speakers are more capable of reaching deep bass and impact. Their design is just not good acoustically and if they still keep going with the same route they will never be up there with the competition
