Just wanted to set the record straight here and say that the above is objectively not true. The Emberton 2 and 3 are extremely similar BUT that is not true for the Willen 1 and 2. The Willen 2 is actually quite a bit larger than 1 and has vast improvements in sound quality and low end register. The difference is quite significant.
There is no "best." JBLs are great but no microphone for cell. Sonos are marvelou$$$ but not for phone calls. Anker makes good BT speakers for the price. I settled on a Marshall Willem II for my shower/backyard audiobook player. Good bass, but outstanding crisp highs for my difficult hearing.
I’ll answer in keeping with the thread. For a small boy, Marshall Willen II. For midrange, a TWS paired set of W-King D8s. For big boy, Monster RRX.
I would advise against the Marshalls. I have the Stockwell 2, Middleton, and Willen. The Willen is the only one that has a stable connection. The other two cut out so badly that it makes it impossible to finish a track.
It actually seems to have gotten worse with updates (except Willen).
