Marshall Willen, hands down the clear winner for me Humor me: It has the same driver configuration, better battery life and sounds richer and better than a segment above the Bose SoundLink Flex!
I mean instrument separation and overall clarity I’ll agree with you, the Flex is better But Marshall’s signature EQ preset is outstanding comparing to the Bose that always sounds outright flat The Marshall sounds richer and way heavier And not the mention its reverb is far better than the Bose which is almost nonexistent
Just wanted to set the record straight here and say that the above is objectively not true. The Emberton 2 and 3 are extremely similar BUT that is not true for the Willen 1 and 2. The Willen 2 is actually quite a bit larger than 1 and has vast improvements in sound quality and low end register. The difference is quite significant.
Willen sounds so hollow in front of the flex. Even the wonderboom 4 sound such better than the willen. I have extensively used both.
There's a test on Youtube where a number of those speakers was involved. The ones that stuck out at me were the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 (I own one now) and the Marshal Willen. [I Compared 10 Mini Bluetooth Speakers to Find the BEST!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paK2cE34yPE&t=26s)
Out of those choices, the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 and the Marshall Willen sound the best with most music. The new Bose Soundlink Micro 2 supposedly sounds a bit better than the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 but is also more expensive. The others are just screech-machines outdoors IMO, but as always, YMMV. I might be a bit biased, as I've owned and used a Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 for over 3 years now. Hmm.. hey Tribit, it's time to come out with the Micro 3 :-)
Really?! I was actually looking at the Flex but it's a bit larger and heavier than I would prefer. This definitely puts Marshall ahead of the others for me. Thanks!
I would advise against the Marshalls. I have the Stockwell 2, Middleton, and Willen. The Willen is the only one that has a stable connection. The other two cut out so badly that it makes it impossible to finish a track.
It actually seems to have gotten worse with updates (except Willen).
