I use a Minirig 2.1 system for production on the move. It’s the closest thing I found to monitors. To be clear, they aren’t monitors, but they’re not far off. I use them wired to avoid latency
MINIRIG mini 2 is a fair bit larger (3.4”x3.4”x2.1”) but performs incredibly for its size
Stretch your budget and get some mini rigs, they're worth it. https://minirigs.co.uk/
Roland “mobile cube” is what I use. It’s DIFFERENT to the other cubes. It’s easy to get them all mixed up. It’s smaller. But if you need REALLY small then the only thing that sounds good is a “Minirig Mini 2” and that blows your budget. You’re in a tough spot. Good luck.
If you need it big, get sth like the jbl boombox If you want something you want to carry, get a minirig setup with 2 mids and one sub
Mini rig 2.1 setup vs brane x was the debate I’ve been having for a speaker. Settled on mini rig for being more portable for my portable dj set up. I figured I could always go 2 mini rigs and 2 subs if I needed more bass but read that the brane x doesn’t match the quality of mids and highs… still so curious about hearing that bass in person. Very curious now if a brane x with 2 mini rigs would work well together
Yep, definitely the Minirigs...had a 2.1 set up...one Minirig failed, couldn't be bothered to replace it and got a refund instead...one Minirig is great, two Minirigs in stereo are brill, but add on a Minirig Sub3 to either one Minirig or two and it a different level entirely! Really bring that deep bass into the mix👌🏽👍🏽🤩🥳🔊🔊🤯 I also use the Minirig Sub3's with my two Philips TAX7207's party boxes as they have an aux-out....sounds rumbletastic!🤯🥳🥳🥳🥳👌🏽🔊🔊🔊
I use a Minirig Mini speaker. Great sound and battery life.
Minirig Mini. I use it way more than my Minirig 4’s or my JBL Charge 3’s. The sound is clear for podcasts etc, but with good balanced bass for music.. it’s super portable and light, sturdy as hell (all metal), only costs £99.
Same. After listening to Oluv’s reviews for a while and after purchasing 2 x original Minirig minis and 2 x subs, I spend my time listening to music instead of listening to reviews of speakers I was never going to purchase. Many thanks for your honest reviews Oluv. I doubt I would have discovered Minirigs without your hard work. FYI I generally use the MR cable to run a single sub and 2 minis wired to an old AirPort Express for “wireless” airplay. It works for me.
