I use a Minirig 2.1 system for production on the move. It’s the closest thing I found to monitors. To be clear, they aren’t monitors, but they’re not far off. I use them wired to avoid latency

I use a 2.1 Minirig system to produce when I’m on the go, they work really well wired with zero latency. They’re as close as you can get to mobile studio monitors. They sound great when you play music on them too

MINIRIG mini 2 is a fair bit larger (3.4”x3.4”x2.1”) but performs incredibly for its size

If you need it big, get sth like the jbl boombox If you want something you want to carry, get a minirig setup with 2 mids and one sub

Mini rig 2.1 setup vs brane x was the debate I’ve been having for a speaker. Settled on mini rig for being more portable for my portable dj set up. I figured I could always go 2 mini rigs and 2 subs if I needed more bass but read that the brane x doesn’t match the quality of mids and highs… still so curious about hearing that bass in person. Very curious now if a brane x with 2 mini rigs would work well together

Same. After listening to Oluv’s reviews for a while and after purchasing 2 x original Minirig minis and 2 x subs, I spend my time listening to music instead of listening to reviews of speakers I was never going to purchase. Many thanks for your honest reviews Oluv. I doubt I would have discovered Minirigs without your hard work. FYI I generally use the MR cable to run a single sub and 2 minis wired to an old AirPort Express for “wireless” airplay. It works for me.

I just got me the minirig4’s plus 1subwoofer for outdoor djing and the quality of sound and how loud they are for the size is perfect for my needs. If one day I need bigger sound outdoors, I would look into buying more and connecting them. I have yet to test for latency issues with my denon prime go, but playing from my phone or tablet has been very high quality and my ears love it. Not sure how tariffs changes will play into ordering from them since they are a uk company, but I was able to get everything with no extra cost early April 2025. Highly recommend for something under $500 and small.
