Minirig 4 Any list that doesnt have minirig listed is not credible. Not cheap but hits everything in your requirements.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speakers in 2025... ->I went for a Minirig set up. Not cheap, but zero latency with aux, insane battery life and they do a portable sub. The 2.1 set up slaps.
pocketoperators • Affordable low latency portable mi... ->Hey, I seem to suggest these a lot as they are my newest and most favourite set up, but 2 Minirig 4’s with a Minirig sub absolutely slaps. The bass created by this 2.1 set up is unrivalled in my experience. https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bundles
Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking Deeper Bass: Recommenda... ->Honestly, until I heard it I never would have thought something this size could produce the noise that this thing does. It’s really surprised me
Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking Deeper Bass: Recommenda... ->Minirig 4. Get 2 of them with your budget and have them as a stereo pair. They have best fidelity of any portable speaker I have tried. They make me trip without any psilocybin
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Speaker for sound Clarity ... ->I’ve only recently discovered Minirig, I thought I had a pretty good knowledge of portable speaker manufacturers, but I had missed Minirig. Given the insane audio and build quality, they deserve to be much better known. I love mine
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->Minirig sounds like ass and OB-4 unfortunately is not rugged enough to bring outdoors on a regular basis imo. Sound quality of OB-4 was nice though.
SP404 • Best Portable Speaker for SP404 Use On the Go ->Minirig 4 is really small, loud and got an awesome battery life. I use it all the time to play outside. https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bluetooth-minirig-4
synthesizers • Portable Speaker with Aux In to Conne... ->Recent Minirig 4 convert, wanted as close to zero latency as possible. Demod some popular choices such as tribit max sound plus, soundcore motion + and uboom L. Uboom l was my favourite of those but baaad latency and preferred Minirig sound felt closer to studio. If you are playing in beats on 404 latency can be a real barrier
SP404 • Best Portable Speaker for SP404 Use On the Go ->Rock on! (Have a minirig 4.2 and wholeheartedly concur)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Portable Speaker ->Heard from a couple of sources that the Earfun Boom I is pretty good IF you tune the settings. Check Alan Ross Reviews on YouTube or here: https://canadianomad.com/best-portable-bluetooth-party-speakers-battery-powered/#Soundboks_gen_3_%E2%80%93_Most_well-rounded_powerful_battery_powered_speaker Remember though, if you’re going for ultraportable DJing then really one of the major things you’re fighting is that physics really isn’t on your side. You can only push so much air about with a small speaker, and they almost invariably sound muddy when you get to high volumes. If it sounds shit, people will feel fatigued quicker, and will lose dancing energy. It’s just one of those things. Since as a DJ your main concern is often getting people to dance, or at least enjoy music, then you should be absolutely concerned about this. And as I said, for ultraportable DJing this is a bigger thing as you’re necessarily doing it with smaller equipment which doesn’t have the same headroom thanks to *physics*. I’d generally recommend you go for minirigs. They’re more expensive, I know. But it’s a one time purchase, and they are the best you can get. Anyway, I’m curious - what’s the rest of your setup look like (or planned to be)? Mine’s 4x minirig 3s, 2x Minirig Sub 3, iPhone 12 or iPad Air, djay pro, numark dj2go2 if using the iPad, apelab apecoins for lighting. But thinking I might swap to the new Hercules one as it would allow me to go fully on to the iPhone.
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->Minirig speakers are awesome. I know they're pricey ... but just go for then if you want small portable sound. They're effectively modular so if you just need 1 Minirig then just take 1 Minirig (e.g. 3-5 friends going away for a weekend), and if you need a 2.1 or 4.2 or whatever for a bigger thing then take that.
Beatmatch • Best quality/small AUX portable speaker ... ->Dunno if this is interesting but I have: - 1x iPad Pro - Djay Pro AI - Numark DJ2GO2 Touch - 4x Minirig speakers - 1x Minirig sub (considering a 2nd) - Lots of wires - 5x Apelight ApeCoins - Battery packs This is pretty much good to keep a small party going strong for 8hrs. I've used it for kids parties at ~50 kids but they don't want really loud music. I suspect it's not suitable for that number of adults, you'd probably want another speaker to reinforce the sound. I think Minirig are bringing out a new Doppler speaker in the foreseeable future so if you can hold on until that's ready (no timelines but prototypes have been in testing for a while) you'd be good. But yeah, a party for ~20 adults that can go completely off grid yet you can carry the whole thing in a backpack plus a change of clothes, a bottle of rum, a bottle of coke and some water :D
Beatmatch • Advice for the most portable battery-pow... ->The minirigs are EXTREMELY loud for their profile size. I don't think another speaker that is as small can make the same clarity and volume as the minirigs. They are 3"x 4" and pushing 30w for the Minirig 3, the new Minirig4 are pushing 40w. HOWEVER, they are really a nightmare to get connected correctly wirelessly, and the fact that the speakers are proprietary (which those Rock steady speakers look to be) makes it even more cumbersome to set up. I feel they are best used in a wired situation, which they seem designed for mobile DJing to begin with anyway. There is much better value in solid all in one party/boombox speakers that will deliver easier/funner experience. You have to think about the effort in taking each individual speaker, placing it where you want it, powering it on and waiting for connection, testing for correct synced sound, I haven't really been in the market for speakers so I don't know about the Rock steady speakers. I would tell you that if size is not an issue, get a Teufal speaker, else, even if you decide to get any speaker with a physical audio output(rocksteady speakers), you can connect them to any other speaker with physical audio input later on(minirig3/4, or other), for more dynamic sound staging. The biggest concern at that point would be making sure the audio input/output has little latency as possible. It's all literally based on your use case scenario.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking Deeper Bass: Recommenda... ->I have Minirig 4.2 setup. I have tested the frequencies at low and high volumes for the subs, and they seem to fall off at the 29hz mark But above that and they can push the bass cleanly. I run the setup through a Qudelix 5k Bluetooth receiver.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking Deeper Bass: Recommenda... ->:) For clarification, I am meaning to say that the Minirig Sub's bass is lacking for sub-30hz bass, which is probably what you are seeking. I am aware of the physics restraint from the smaller driver size. The Brane speaker you mentioned seems interesting with this as they claim using sound cancellation technology to artificially increase the interior resonance. I don't seem be able to find much info/reviews for it. But yeah, that price! :( I have been hoping Minirig will release a better subwoofer since they released the Minirig 4. But TBH the Minirig sub delivers enough for my ears :) sorry I don't have a frequency response chart from testing, I just do testing with different wave patterns using free apps. I don't own a professional microphone or silent recording room.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Seeking Deeper Bass: Recommenda... ->Does it have to be water proof? Why not buy the world's loudest smallest speaker? The sound and quality from them is incredible!!! They're based in UK MiniRig 4 you can get a full set with a sub bar etc too. But I have recently purchased just the small speaker it out does my pioneer Dj speaker 😂 it's crazy loud for a tiny little thing & the bass is epic
Bluetooth_Speakers • Which one of the 4 speakers is ... ->MiniRig 4 2.1 or 2.2 You will be blown away, however if price is a factor, two Motion Booms is an absolute steal for the sound they put out.. As @AlanRoss would say.. pound for pound champs.. That's what she said... 🤣
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Portable Speaker ->MiniRig 4 2.1 or 2.2 You will be blown away, however if price is a factor, two Motion Booms is an absolute steal for the sound they put out.. As @AlanRoss would say.. pound for pound champs.. That's what she said... 🤣
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Portable Speaker ->Minirig 4. (Plus Minirig subwoofer, or another minirig 4 if you don't mind another 50$) Loudest sound you can get for the size, and you can carry like 6 or more in your backpack or have them attatched on your waist. They're modular so you can take as many as you want with you, and you can sync up as many as you want even wirelessly Just recently DJ'd a wedding with Minirig 4 + Minirig Sub and everyone loved it. (About 20-30 people\*). I always get people impressed by the sound and quality for their size, planning to get another to make it a 2.1 setup.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speakers suggestion u... ->100%. I don't regret my purchase whatsoever
Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speakers suggestion u... ->I see, I was not aware of that. I'm coming from the Minirig which isnt waterproof whatsoever lol
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Waterproof Bluetooth Speak... ->If portability is a huge priority, then I will be a Minirig stan. I've DJ'd a small wedding (Friend favor, no speaker budget) to playing a sundown set at the park with them and they went great, and are super loud for their size. I recommend 1 Minirig 4 + Minirig Subwoofer, should roughly be around 400$, but if you don't care about bass then 1 minirig is 200$ You can also wire into it as well for 0 latency (Aux)
Beatmatch • Best Bluetooth speaker to use with a mob... ->Well if you change your mind, it can charge your phone/laptop through USB-C connections. Also in a review regarding its splash resistance: "I have to say, the Minirig endured more than it should have had to. It was dropped on one hard and then one muddy surface, it was (lightly) rained on, a beer was thrown over it and at one point, we left it sitting on a very wet surface for several hours before realising. I don’t recommend trying this with yours, but the Minirig (which is sold as ‘splash resistant’) is clearly built to endure" [https://www.buymeonce.co.uk/blogs/research/a-minirig-review](https://www.buymeonce.co.uk/blogs/research/a-minirig-review)
Beatmatch • Best Bluetooth speaker to use with a mob... ->Not really. They are only "Splash-resistant"
Beatmatch • Best Bluetooth speaker to use with a mob... ->Ive been considering a single Minirig 4 for this
Elektron • Budget speakers recommendations for Digit... ->yeah, the soundcore looks good too. The Minirig has both mono and stereo options and has a 50w amp compared to the Soundcore's 30W. I see you've ordered the soundcore so id be curious to know how you get on with it, since yeah it's quite a bit cheaper than the Minirig
Elektron • Budget speakers recommendations for Digit... ->Get 2 Minirig 4's epic
Metalcore • Best Bluetooth speakers for the heavy st... ->I have been enjoying the minirig 4 recently Definitely a step up from the previous UE Boom 3 i had
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best speaker for pure sound qua... ->\* AIAIAI UNIT-4 (no subwoofer, I wish they made one) is excellent. Uses either AUX or their ultra-low latency wireless transmitter that has low ms of delay (not perceivable while mixing). Very clear and transparent sound. \* 2x Minirig 4 + 2x Minirig 3 subwoofer is the slightly more portable version. Has more bass extension due to the subwoofer setup and can be scaled up or down as needed. I use both with the OMNIS-DUO + DDJ-FLX4 depending on the setup and needs. (UNIT-4 also make for amazing portable booth monitors if I have a bigger setup, e.g. with my RX3.)
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->Presumably AIAIAI would need offer a sub that would have wired outs to the speakers, or adapt the wireless module to emit to both a sub and speakers and set a calibrated crossover frequency. The Minirigs *feel* like they have more bass extension because the subs are separates, even if the numbers say otherwise — that’s my subjective experience. In particular, the advantage of adding a sub with crossover would be to help the UNIT-4 drivers work across a shorter frequency range - you can hear the cabinet’s limitation in the speaker and a sub would help them open up more. But to my ears, even if they’re a bit more clinical (and optimized for monitoring, since they’re much more revealing) I’d pick them over the Minirigs if space is not at an absolute premium.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I have 2 Minirig 4s and will probably get 2 Minirig 4 Subwoofers when/if they become available. I really like them in pairs but wouldnt recommend them if you're only going to buy one. The bt functionality is definitely finicky... Might take some tries till they connect with each other but when they are connected they work great!
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I've just got myself a [Minirig 4](https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bluetooth-minirig-4) - my friend had the OG one (aux only) about 12 years ago and it blew my mind. The 4 sounds phenomenal given it's size - if I put it next to my hifi speakers you wouldn't realise that the sound was coming from that little cylinder rather than the hifi
Bluetooth_Speakers • What's the greatest mid sized B... ->My minirig4 arrived today and its unbelievable and versatile. Wish the range on the connection was longer though. Overly bass songs that mud out you can eq in the app instead of flicking through phone settings too, just whack the treble up and bass down in two clicks and your muddy songs fix out. Good for older mp3s too if youre like me and have shit dating back to like 2005 in ripped mp3s My last speaker was an A.S q80s and it was pretty good for the lower price too
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best speaker for pure sound qua... ->DEFINITELY go with a minirigs 4 ..... watch some youtube comparisons .... they are by far the loudest small size speakers (tho arguably not the deepest bass but very clean sounding....)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Cheapest Loudest BT speaker ->Minirigs. Handmade in Bristol UK [https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bundles](https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bundles) 100 hours of battery on normal listening. I have it, they are amazing. you can buy as many as you want and connect them in series. and subwoofer.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best boombox speaker ->Its not flat. What is your reference for this? Its also quite bass light under 100hz making the sub a must imho. However also stereo pair helps bass as you can play at lower volume step giving more relative bass. However it is a highly resolving speaker which is its strong point.
Bluetooth_Speakers • whats the best quality (NOT LOU... ->my measurements show a slight dip in mids and significant rise in the highs from 3khz even with tilt eq enabled and on axis. i have a 9db rise at 1/3rd smoothing from 3khz to 9khz. Its not flat. very little bass below 100hz. this is often the sort of sound signature described as flat by by a certain section of the audio community (no offence, just stating an observation) but isnt, its just bass light and a little bright. Can I ask you to share your measurements with us? im very curious and happy to hold my hands up and say sorry if shown to be wrong.
Bluetooth_Speakers • whats the best quality (NOT LOU... ->2 minirig 4s placed far apart and you in the center would beat any other combination. The soundstage is so good
WirelessSpeakers • LIGHTEST/SMALLEST and BEST SOUNDI... ->Yo, I got two of these speakers, and they're lit! They're like having a boombox on my bag, but they're so small and light that I don't even notice they're there. Most people are into that fake bass sound, so I'm not surprised these speakers aren't more popular. But the bass on these Minirigs is on another level. It really opened my eyes to what a portable Bluetooth speaker should sound like. I do not claim that it is the best, but it is a progress.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->I understand your perspective, and I acknowledge that the Minirigs may not be as widely accepted as other speakers due to their size and the requirement for two units and a separate cable for the bass. However, I believe that the upcoming Minirig Sub 4, which is expected to be wireless, may address some of these concerns. In my personal experience, I find the Minirig 4 easy to use, with just two clicks on the power buttons to turn them on and connect them in stereo. The combined size of the two Minirig 4 speakers is smaller than my JBL Charge 3, yet they produce louder sound than my JBL Xtreme 3, which I find impressive while maintaining excellent sound quality. I understand that the price point may be a deterrent for many, but I believe that the exceptional sound quality and volume output compared to other speakers of similar size make them worth the investment for me personally. While I acknowledge that the Minirigs may not appeal to the majority of consumers, I believe they have potential as single speakers, offering high-quality sound and impressive volume in a compact form factor. Although it may be a niche product, there are still many fans of this speaker. I am curious as to why not many people have voted for this speaker. Minirig only needs 28 votes, which I believe is not a problem. Perhaps most Minirig users do not trust Rtings or care about them much.😅
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->I’ve got a 4.2 all in the bag. I bring it to work and it hangs on my ladder or lift or anywhere I’m working and sounds amazing. Good tunes at work is a must. Thinking of adding a couple minis too. Interested to see what they release next.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->Minirigs are a smaller independent company so much less reach than the larger brands rtings normally review. I'm sure if word was spread then enough people would upvote them to get a review. However I always prefer to just try things out myself and send them back if I don't like them. The modular approach is niche but what's interesting is that Minirig have always pushed that mono speakers are the best way to produce sound.. with two separate speakers required for stereo. Other brands carried on for years trying to produce stereo sound through small speakers until they finally realised a few years ago that it's pointless and sounds crap. Hence why most smaller portable speakers are now mono (JBL I'm looking at you!). Bass and volume is a tradeoff.. Minirigs go twice as loud as anything else for their size because of the design choices they have made (large driver, sealed enclosure). Then the sub can be added if you want it. Yes it's easier to have one speaker but the alternative in terms of portability is owning several speakers of different sizes.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->Minirig 4 can. It can also Aux output the Bluetooth stream but not at the same time as aux in.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speaker that can play... ->MINIRIG 4, ideally a stereo pair, is the flattest and most audiophile Bluetooth speaker imo
Bluetooth_Speakers • whats the best quality (NOT LOU... ->From what I’ve measured it’s quite flat and doesn’t have the normal coloration I’ve heard in Bluetooth speakers (boosted mid bass, harsh highs or recessed mids). I A/B tested them against my Genelec 8030 studio monitors and I felt like they had a similar sound profile though a bit more forward (I usually turn treble down a notch in the app) and with less low end below 100hz. You’re right that these aren’t bassy speakers by any stretch but otherwise they sound very “hifi” to my ears.
Bluetooth_Speakers • whats the best quality (NOT LOU... ->A minirig 4.2 system would probably set you back $1000, and it’s quite a faff… but true stereo, hi fidelity and loud, fits in a backpack. 2.1 is great but 4.2 for a proper party
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Portable Speaker ->How much is your budget? If you really need to go cheap, Anker is a pretty decent brand and very good reputation. I have the MINIRIG and it bumps. Pricey little guy though, but man it’s worth it. For pocket operators though you’re gonna wanna use direct line in. You’re gonna get bad latency with Bluetooth. Pretty much terrible for producing.
pocketoperators • Affordable low latency portable mi... ->Yea I’m using line in and the dsp on the speakers I mentioned above are still causing a lot of issues whether it’s latency or other even through aux. It really is seeming like minirig is the only answer here. Budget is flexible but don’t want to spend more than $100 on this since it’s just for the pocket operator setup when traveling or not connected to my professional setup lol
pocketoperators • Affordable low latency portable mi... ->Minirig but it won’t power the synth I don’t think
synthesizers • Portable speaker recommendations for ... ->Minirig is the best of the best. Handmade in the UK. I have 2 speakers and 2 subs all linked together with aux. Crystal clear, loud, portable and built like tanks. But you are going to pay for the hand assembled premium component speakers.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->That's strange I've never had that experience. Admittedly I've probably used them 85% via aux in only 15% via Bluetooth but I've always had a smooth experience on my Android phones.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->2 of the 3s and 2 subs. The new 4s just came out that have USB c charging ports. If you're looking to buy some I would stick with the newer ones with USBC charging unless you can get the older ones at a good deal. The barrel jack charger is the absolute only crappy part about the speaker. Outside of that, they are the best portable speakers on the market. This opinion is coming from somebody with probably $2,000 worth of other brands of speakers. Minirigs are built like tanks and sound absolutely amazing.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->Now that you bring it up, I have never used more than one speaker via bluetooth. So I can't comment on linking them together at all. I'm old so throwing an aux into each of them has always been my default.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I also got these recently and whilst they are fantastic, they are not the loudest when used outdoors unless you are right in front of them.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->thanks! :) yeah they're really tough little units whenever you have the misfortune of abusing one!
Bluetooth_Speakers • Those of us with multiple Bluet... ->>Or is the minirig so good that you got rid of your other speakers? yeah I had: dB Technologies B-Hype M (miss that one tbh) LD Systems Roadjack 8 Soundcore Motion Boom Bose S1 Pro etc etc Minirigs only thing I need now - have wired audio for professional choir performances in the Vatican with Minirigs... but, tbh, it works best if you're on iOS - Android was always a bit buggy with the BT connection
Bluetooth_Speakers • Those of us with multiple Bluet... ->minirigs are bomb - I've owned 8 in my lifetime Nothing, and I mean *nothing* on the market can match the raw fidelity and output in the same size. Either as a single unit, dual TWS, or with the sub. For me I go with 2.2 Subwoofer system and it has better output and fidelity than 5" studio monitors - but they're BT and battery powered Minirigs just doesn't have a fraction the resources/marketing/budget that Soundcore/JBL/Bose does - and the price is quite high which automatically excludes like 80% of buyers but as the best of the best? Cannot find something better
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->> Which is also another thing I didn’t mention, the price point. People got too used to buying Made in China mass produced loss-leader products made of plastic that now something made in UK with premium materials and build quality is too hard to swallow They're pretty much the only good small BT speakers which you can use for music production/DJing/Live Sound (I've set them up for the keyboardist of a choir group playing in St. Peters Basilica...) you get what you pay for - while there are good budget options (honda civic) they won't ever match something more finely tuned and more expensive (like a Subaru STi)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->If you’re UK then check out https://minirigs.co.uk They’re by the guy that built the DMT soundsystem in Bristol - kinds u ground but also kinda the loudest and best quality mini speaker system you can get, and they link up and have subs so you can grow your system.
Elektron • Budget speakers recommendations for Digit... ->Oh they are, they’re about the size of a coffee mug, except the sub which is similar in size to that soundcore speaker youve bought. They have aux in, Bluetooth rechargeable batteries etc.
Elektron • Budget speakers recommendations for Digit... ->I love my minirigs
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->MINIRIG, they can be paired with another for stereo and they even have a subwoofer that can be connected for more oomph. They will fit in my backpack with my laptop, headphones and my Traktor Z1,X1 setup
Beatmatch • Recommendations for hitting that loud/cl... ->They aren’t cheap but they are good.
Beatmatch • Recommendations for hitting that loud/cl... ->Minirig. A bit expensive but absolutely worth it.
synthesizers • Small, Portable Speaker for Groovebox? ->Have all of us with Minirigs all come to say Minirigs🤣 brilliant.. OP they really are the bomb for primary aux use (I do hear the BT frustrations tho theyre a pain if more than one) you can daisy chain them endlessly, very unique.. PS you're prolly gonna want to find super HQ 90° 3.5mm head cables, angled heads fit nicer plugged in while in their bags or when in use, not as easy to pull out by accident than a straight one.. Long live M.R Bristol👊
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->Minirig. Get the sub too
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->just don't expect to use them as a regular Bluetooth device because they're awful at that
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I got two of them to work together in Bluetooth mode maybe once or twice then gave up. That was my primary reason for buying them with the DJing thing being a nice bonus. I went back to a regular Bluetooth speaker.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I double up on minirig, love mine. Got them after seeing a friend with that exact controller actually.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I have mini rig but no sub. It's good for goofing around with friends in like a 3m^2 room not much more. Does sound good though! I'd look at an ElectroVerse Everse 8 for what you want. Clean up to the redline and lots of bass. Battery powered.
DJs • Portable Speakers with strong and clear sound ... ->I have two speakers and a sub and took them to Italy last year where we had an elite villa for 15 of us - DJ'd every afternoon by the pool. They are the best, hands down. Have DJ'd with them at my old work and at a friend's 50th just a couple weeks ago. Elite.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->I also give a 👍🥇 to Minirig. Great sounding and aftercare from their Bristol based team is excellent. Had an issue years ago with the charging cable. Sent 2 emails and they sent a new cable to test, problem solved. But they were going to arrange getting the speaker sent back and tested/fixed or replaced. I now have the new speaker and any old Bluetooth problems are fixed. Although I never had any issues with old speaker, but many folks did.
DJs • Looking for small portable speaker with no aux... ->Hello, You can add 2 latencies in bluetooth speakers: 1) bluetooth latency Latency depends on the bluetooth audio codec. The lowest latency speakers decode bluetooth aptx (or variants as aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless), with 40ms latency. Using aptX codec requires a source (Intel AX210 card) capable to send aptx bluetooth. Intel AX210 board is capable to send an aptX bluetooth signal, but you may have to install the aptX codec. 2) DSP in the speakers Compact bluetooth speakers often include a DSP to enhance the sound, which adds latency. => A solution of low latency aptx speakers are Minirig 3 / Minirig 4 speakers: they have no DSP (because they are super powerful) and they are aptx.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Low latency Bluetooth speakers:... ->Minirig....but do double the dimensions👍🏽
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best speaker that fits in cup h... ->Reviews for minirig are a strange breed indeed. There's no denying that you can't get anything better as far as output to footprint is concerned BUT Minirigs credentials with regards to quality control and addressing obvious issues with hardware and app software is historically poor. Not sure if theres some beef between mainstream media and Minirig....conspiracies at the ready😜🤯 I held off a loooooong time before getting 2.1 system...one speaker failed and never bothered replacing it because the app for the MR3 and the stability of a wireless stereo set was so poor. Still, there is no denying the quality and power of 1.1 or 2.1 minirig set up...how other manufacturers haven't followed suit and improved on the modular design is beyond me!?!?!🤔🤯 And yes, Rtings is a pile of.... Horses for courses and each to there own....
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->You do have your Soundboks, Mackie Thump Go and larger party box speakers from the likes of JBL and Sony...JBL's new ones seem to have garnered good feedback, but theres nothing better then hearing a device in person. Then, as mentioned, you have speakers from what one would refer to as the luxury speaker market, like the Devialet Mania, Brane X and Cabasse Pearl Myuki, which offer serious sound in a luxury package. I don't tend listen to advice from rating guides like rtings....Which is why I own things like Minirig and Libratone Zipp2's, which are great despite their caveats. Personally, despite some feedback on Reddit about the Brane X, I'm looking to save up for one, but I I'm in no hurry as I'm quite satisfied with what I already have.....
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth speaker for bass... ->minirig, can turn off tones and dim light.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Any decent portable BT speaker ... ->Minirig is best in class. After that, look at Everse8, Bose S1, Thump Go
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->Yeah, my point was the minirig is the smallest thing you can get that can output that kind of sound
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->No... just do minirig
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->Yes i know, so i replied with best go with minirig. Id say a mackie thump but ive no idea what the use case is. So best stick to mini rig.
DJs • Portable DJs, what other speakers are similar... ->Yup i did, and value is not the word i'd use here🤣 i rather have a whole speaker as a package than a few tuna cans connected with wires. That was a terrible idea
Bluetooth_Speakers • Need loud portable Bluetooth sp... ->If you enjoy it it's fine, but in this reddit or any bluetooth speaker forum, minirigs, philips, a company that is better at hair shavers than anything else. Those are on the complete bottom of the list. The worst speakers pretty much. Minirig is definitely few levels above companies like philips, but it's wiped by even soundcore which for some reason you crap on it without owning any of it.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Need loud portable Bluetooth sp... ->Try the Minirig speakers, powerful and can be paired up for stereo, you can also add a sub, all Bluetooth and great British manufacturing. Batteries last for an eternity.
PioneerDJ • Travel speakers ->Came to say mini rig as well. I have the 2 of them and the subwoofer. Sounds fantastic. Great soundstage. Nonetheless they sound so good I end up just using one in mono lol.
audiophile • Are there tiny mini speakers that sound... ->I’ve used a bunch…. Tried to love mnirigs, what a waste of time effort and money that was. The Everse8 is astounding. I love it. It’s just small enough that I can put it in a backpack and take it to the beach. I put it in my luggage and went to South America… it’s a bit big for that but it was well worth it to have. I think I may have gone for the Bose but I wanted the output not to be lacking. Everse8 all the way…dynacord powered Bosch made water proofish rugged battery powered killer…. So happy with this speaker.
DJs • Low latency, battery powered, compact yet powe... ->Low is relative…. Is 60 Hz @ -3 db low enough? I did a 5 hr set of deep house on the beach yesterday and everyone seemed to understand the physics of a single 8” battery powered speaker (outdoors) isn’t going to be shaking bones. 😂 Minirig has the same frequency response… this is not the same as spl.
DJs • Low latency, battery powered, compact yet powe... ->I second this! Two minirigs in stereo are the most impressive sound experience I had so far, even though I listened to >3000€ sound equipment. Being able to place them perfectly as they are so small makes for great listening. Obviously the bass is not as good as a big setup, but wow are they impressive :)
Bluetooth_Speakers • Bluetooth speakers with excelle... ->I had 2 Minirigs which stopped working after less than 2 years! I like the size and sound a lot but I dare not buy another one due it’s unreliability.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->They're very practical. Ideal if you have decks on the go ,in a caravan etc . Lucky enough to live near their depot in Bristol UK and the service is great with full demos ,maybe a perk being close but the sound quality is worth the price as is the build quality ,that betters any soundcore ,tribit set up I've had before.
Bluetooth_Speakers • Why isn't Minirig speaker at Rt... ->If you are close to Bristol, call in and test listen the Minirigs in person and see what all the fuss is about. You will NOT be disappointed. AND Minirigs are made to be repaired / upgraded / battery replaced. Mine are 5 years old and running perfectly but the repair ability is icing on the cake and good to have .
Bluetooth_Speakers • Best party speaker for £150 ($2... ->Minirig is undisputed bro.. not bose lol
