I have a pair of Soundcore 2 speakers and I can safely say that they do not have big subwoofers or intense bass. It sounds like you want a speaker with no bass. I can't imagine enjoying listening to speaker with less bass than a Soundcore 2. I want thick bass, great mids, and clear highs. I also have an Oontz Angle 3 and it has virtually zero bass, I mean it gives the illusion of bass but it really doesn't have bass. I like the bass on my pair of Uboom L's in tws mode and my Soundcore Boom 2 (which delivers more bass than it should, which I love).

I also have an older Oontz Angle laying around. I used it when I worked in an office and just wanted listen to podcasts at my desk and I had to keep things confined in my cubicle and not annoy my coworkers. It has virtually no bass at low volumes. The Angle 3 has dual speakers and roughly twice the power. I don't like them for listening to music but they are great for low volume podcasts and talk radio. But for you they may be perfect, and they don't cost much. I think I paid $30 for the Angle 3. And maybe $20 for the small angle.

Oontz Angle 3 You get two of them and can have LR stereo. Amazing battery life and good range. And they're cheap as hell. Been using them for like 5 years

Klipsch The One in my dining room. Marshall Acton III in my BR. I LOVE these. The sound, the look, everything. Several JBL clip 5s for the yard that I auracast. Love this feature for sound throughout the yard that’s not too loud (unless I want it to be). In my office, I have a super old Pioneer XWSMA4 that used early wireless tech (not Bluetooth). The wireless was always hit or miss with it but the sound is good so I (gasp) wire it to my iPhone when I’m using it. I can’t bear to get rid of it cuz it was such a stretch financially when I first got it. You all get me right? No one else does. I have a JBL flip just in case. I bring this on vacation or I’ll bring a clip or both. I also have two oontz angles that started me on this Bluetooth speaker journey. They still work great too. So I have those for when I want to have music and not worry about my speakers.

I literally do this. I use a myVolts RIP cord 12v 1a model AA928MS. Anker Powecore III Elite USB power bank that will last for days. For a speaker OontZ Angle 3 rechargeable bluetooth speaker with an aux port. I play this on the couch but can also take this on work travel or backpacking.

The Oontz Angle is surprisingly solid for its size. I like mine. Edit: I also have this [Bose](https://www.bose.com/p/all-speakers/soundlink-color-bluetooth-speaker-ii/SLCOLORII-SPEAKERWIRELESS.html) which sounds great, but isn't very loud

>I also have two oontz angles that started me on this Bluetooth speaker journey. The oontz are in my bathroom and are workhouses. Not great sound but I use them to listen to podcasts while I'm in the shower. Different speakers for different uses. My Harman Kardon Go+Play 3 is for high fidelity and great bass response. Others are to listen to podcasts and they just need to be clear.
