I’ve had numerous bluetooth speakers and my skullcandy barrel xt beats them all. For the price too! Its sorta tied with jbl boombox but because of the huge price difference, skullcandy takes the cake!

And something loud! ->I only own two portable speakers so I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference by ear immediately. I just bought the Skullcandy Barrel XT. This is my second speaker in 7 years. My first was the Braven 2200m. The Skullcandy is a huge upgrade from that. With all the speakers on the market today it makes choosing difficult IMO. I'm sure the Tribit Lava is a good speaker no doubt, especially since it just released. I was just trying to give OP some options for speakers under $100. Hopefully he finds a speaker that suits his taste and price range.
