"the bass is very weak if I compare it to my SoundLink Flex or the Flip 6 ... it loses bass at higher volumes of 60%, which is more noticeable"

"the battery life, in my case it only lasted 6 hours at 50% volume ... If you want it to last longer, you have to deactivate the microphone and you lose Trueplay and the voice assistant"

"Same experience, spent thousands and the software makes them unusable. They were so stubborn about it and I spent hundreds of hours trouble shooting trying to get them to work together. Just a complete failure from a good start. Absolutely agree."

"Can be a pia to pair with Bluetooth initially"
Move2’s are amazing. Have a pair (and a pair of Roams). Highly recommend. Great sound, battery, bass, well built. You will love it. Strongly recommend a pair if you can manage
Another great attribute of the Bose is that, even if you don’t use it very often, it seems to retain battery life. I went a month without charging, and it was still at 90% battery life when I turned it on. My Sonos Roam, which I still quite like, drains battery very quickly if not plugged in.
Sonos Roam travels with me everywhere. Sounds amazing, fairly compact. Can be a pia to pair with Bluetooth initially, but once setup it’s great.
Had a sonos roam on a wireless charger and the product is a scam. the battery is heavily damaged because of their wireless charging implementation and is a known fault. right now i am using an edifier d32. looks the coolest
For under $300 I’d say the Bose SoundLink Flex or the Sonos Roam are probably the best balance of sound quality, durability and ease of use. Both pairs instantly feel premium, and the battery life is solid. If you want something tougher for outdoors, JBL Xtreme 3 is a tank and still sounds great tbh.
There are probably underlying issues with the Roam you have purchased. That said, it is built for mobile, and NOT for stereo pairing with existing Sonos Speakers. I own one, but mostly use it outdoors while hiking, and I find its range on full charge to last well over 6hours in the cold with zero issues.
I use a Sonos Roam (Gen 1) in my garage most of the year and its connection has been quite good. It also has a patch of NFC at the top that the Sonos app uses to pair but can be repurposed to iOS Shortcuts to connect quickly, start playing music, etc. So for me all I do is tap and my outdoor vibes playlist starts
One or two, stereo or not, DSP allows psychoacoustic audio. So it can sound like stereo. This allows smaller size and cost but very good sound for **consumers**. The Sonos Roam is small but can sound really great. Sonos sends at 24/96, max I think. They can also be paired so, start with one, add another to make stereo. With streaming, powered speaker systems make sense for most **consumers**. My LP and 8 track generation retired sister has had all Sonos for years now, as do many with a very good budget but zero interest in a stereo or setting one up. Pandora is her jam. She is 100% happy.
Seconded, my Sonos Roam 1 was great but died after 7 years. Sonos replaced it with a Roam 2 for free.
Yes, Sonos Roam, Roam 2, and Roam SL all can be recharged wirelessly.
