I have the ULT field 5, 7 and XG-300.. what you are saying is not true. This is an huge improvement over XG-300 . And for the record sound is not all about bass. The bass is pretty balanced. JBL has an bass that is deeper, but out of balance sound signature. There are people like me who also don't like that
I have a Sony ult 7, JBL bb3, Sony xv900, soundcore rave3s, Sony xg500 Sony xg300 Sony ult 5 Both ult1 for stereo Soundcore boom 2 PRO (haters on that) Also boom3i This motion x600 Drops bass low easily to 40 hz My sonys drop to 20hz And JBL hits 35hz when plugged in The x600 is super clean HIFI LIKE MY BIG SONY XV900 and SOUNDCORE IS NOT LACKING BASS. Seriously hifi sound with bass Real bass though If the track doesn't have it It's not there Great speaker Seriously 💯
I purchased the Sony SRS XG300 not too long ago and it's been great thus far. It doesn't come with a cable, but you can find one online for relatively cheap. One thing to note though: there is a delay which comes with any bluebooth speaker, so I recommend you try to mix through your headphones so you can ensure the transition is a smooth one
Marshall Emberton III or the new Sony ULT Field 3. The Sony has good bass and sounds great. It's light and would be easy to carry. It's also waterproof. It sounds almost as good as my Sony XG300 in a much smaller and lighter package. The Marshall is smaller and has great sound and very good bass as well. Under 2lbs.
OK, we have your budget. That's a good start. What's your use case? Where do you listen? What types of music? How portable do you want the speaker? How big is TOO big? I own several Tribit speakers (a pair of Stormbox Micro 2s and a new Lava), as well as Bose (a Smart Speaker and a pair of Flex 2s). I've owned JBLs in the past (Charge 5, Charge 5 WiFi, Flips 2-4) and have nothing against them, but my use case precluded keeping any of the JBLs. I have the paired Micro 2s attached to my sailboat's lifelines in the cockpit for good stereo sound, and down below in the cabins I switch out my pair of Bose Flex 2s with Sony XG300s depending on my mood. If I need loud, it's the Sony's. If I need detail and am playing "quieter" tunes, it's the Flex 2s. On the dock when I'm gardening, washing boats, or entertaining, I pull out the Tribit Lava...or sometimes grab my pair of Sonos Move 2s if I have a group of more than 20 people on the back deck or foredeck (Sea Ranger 52 Trawler) so we can cover both areas.
*(Looks around for UBoom X fans...)* Gotta' say, I'm really happy with the last set of Sony speakers I bought (XG300s on sale, $79/each) as a pair, and think Sony doesn't get enough love here. Regardless... congrats on the speaker purchase, and enjoy!
Sony xg300 great for movies. You neef to have sth with low latency (or aux in and cable)
2 sony xg300 will work great, if you are ok with the bigger size weight compared to flip. Great stereo function, will remember and good range and stable.
i think stereo would be best for movies. so 2 Sony XG300 would be a good choice, they have low latency and can stand upright, should be used/refurbished around 100 each.
Sony XG300 works great in stereo pairing, with good stable connection and range and low latency. Sound profile is very warm and full/rich sounding, almost a bit rusty, and not the cleanest with a bit weak highs. So you should decide if you like that. Live sound mode is more lively though.
