Get Ult field 1, good sound quality for the price. Insane value.
SONY ULT FIELD 1 🔥🔥🔥🔥is rlly an obvious choice here.
What do you mean with portability? Able to transport it with a car? Able to place it with other stuff in a bagpack? Able to carry it on a cart like a fridge? Also depends on where you’d use it and how you’d use it. Obviously, those portable ones (to just fit with your stuff in the backpack), you won’t get dance floor thundering bass and rather a good background sound for a gathering with a few friends. If it’s for the backpack style (cause that’s what I’d consider portable) I wouldn’t go bigger than Jbl charge 6 size. Different brands have different signature sounds. I really like jbls, and the newer Sonys. Pretty much any soundcore speaker and Tribit and so on that I had in my hand, I wanted to tune them over their equalizer cause I didn’t like there profiles (I remember them as muffled) Sony field 1 is a great portable and sounds good. Same for flip 7 and charge 6. also worth looking at features other than sound and robustness. Soundcore motion 300 also one I remember with a really nice sound. From what I heard, if you go for a Jbl charge size speaker, looking at the difference to the next bigger one like Jbl xtreme or soundcore boom size, I would say the sound difference can be named almost irrelevant. There is more bass, yes, but not enough worth mentioning to me. So I’d say go either flip / charge size for spontaneously taking to shower and back, outdoors in your backpack, or Jbl boombox size if it has to be taken sometimes by car and needs a big bass for a lil dance round.
The JBL Flip 7 and Sony ULT Field 1 both sell for less than $130, are water-resistant, and feature chunky rubber bumpers around their passive radiators to help with accidental drops. Bose says the SoundLink Flex is also rated as "drop proof", but it doesn't quite have the same amount of physical protection as the other two.
All I can tell you is ULT Field 1 is not a good speaker in my experience
The JBL Clip 4 has a long battery life, for personal use (backpack, room, office) is surprising. The sonu ult field 1, withstands impact, good material and listening very well, a little larger than the clip 4 but it can be transported, I can recommend those to you since I have both and I assure you that they have good quality materials. I've had the clip for 5 years and it sounds the same as the first day of purchase.
Sony. No question. JBL distorts, bose is quiet, marshall is just for looks.
It depends on the size, but for my favorite and most used speaker, go for the ULT Field 1.
I think you would best like the Sony Ult Field 1 and with 2 units so around $280 if you get no deal...! So many choices many are great options though consider $65 the most to pay for a pair $25 TO 35 Each and some may need a .1 channel speaker as well I suppose JBL party mode is supposed to be most flexible but I hear my Ult Field can work with more than 2 speakers if they are all Sony please consider the big ULT field offerings also perhaps one ULT 7 center 3 ULT 1 surround
It is very good try just using the onboard Sony sound in place of poweramp EQ though preamp can go high and never do you see the distortion usually noticed by us and we overlap units +7+7 +6 is too high! Lastly my demux profiles have a notch 188 Hz sharp Q down 12 dB : Tweety needs to be T 225-15000 Hz Woofie is at 12-145 and Thumpers 0-100 hz You can see a missed coverage 165-300 but listen to various "demuxing" notches of your own designs see the difference.... The the Ult Field is the easiest to use speaker so far by a long way I also have owned Beats products very similar to my Radio-Shack clock-radio format speakers I originally used with my REI accelerator Panel...remember in Series OR In PARALLEL your decision but + is - and - is + that's not your choice!
I got a pair of them too! I got mine on sale too but I still paid almost double of what you paid. I wish they had an aux port though. Might end up buying the ULT 7 just so I can use it for movies.
I got two ult1 and I really like them but they don't have aux so they're not good for watching stuff.
I tend to purchase smaller sized speakers like the flip, ult field 1, and I purchased the boom 3i to replace my ult field one and the 2 things I dont like about the boom 3i is the bass at loud volumes isn't as punchy as the ult field one, and id go as far to say the ult field one does loudness alot better, which sucks becuase this speaker is advertised at 50w and the ult 1 is 30w. secondly, the battery life is mediocre, but its understandable becuase it maintains a nice deep bass at low to medium volume. So if you regularly play louder music probably go with the ult field one since its about the same size, and if you're going to listen to low to medium volume music, then the boom 3i is perfect.
I bought three ULT Field 1’s and one ULT Field 5 at Target while they were 70% off (in-store). The ULT Field 1’s are very portable. They are very nice. They sound relatively close to as quality (I’d say about 75% as good) as the ULT Field 5. I am going to Keep the 5 for myself and give the 1’s to my family for Christmas. I think you will like the 1 if you choose it. I am mostly just using it for inside my house and that is why I opted for the 5 for myself. If I needed something super portable for on the go, I would have kept the 1.
