Charge 6 is probably your best bet, much better than the 5. The Boom 2 is a great option too but you may find it too big. The Ult 3 is also a really good option but I prefer the Charge
Hikes, so it gotta be tough - JBL Flip 7 or Charge 6, or Sony ULT Field 3 or 5 Beach - Just go for the Sony, it has an enclosure for the charging port Honest opinion: JBLs sound better than the Sonys (this comparison only)
I absolutely love this speaker. For comparison, I had it together with the Ult Field 3, charge 5 and the charge 6 and liked this one by far the most. It definitely sounds different but in a great way! I also currently own the uboom x which I'm selling because it's just too big for my needs. I also had the Tribit stormbox Lava which i really liked too!
Refurbished Sony ult3 for $68 off eBay, grab two and pair them together. Secondpity has the refurbished Sony ult5 in white on their site for $85.
Yes it is. He can buy the refurbished ult3 off eBay for $68. And it comes with a 2 years all State warranty as well. It fits under his budget. https://www.ebay.com/itm/267269753285
Charge 6 is like $130+, while the refurbished ult3 is $65. I would grab two ult3 refurbished for the price of the charge 6. Since I can party up mode with two ult 3.
Op can grab the ult3 for $65, that is smaller than the ult5.
Grab two refurbished Sony ult3 speakers from secondpity and pair them together.
Because everyone in here is a ballers. Lol. I would grab two Sony refurbished ult3 from secondpity and pair them together for about $120.
I would grab two refurbished Sony ult3 from secondpity for $120, and pair them together for stereo.
I don't have the ult1, but I do have the ult3 and ult5, so I can pair them together for stereo. I think two ult3 pairs together will be good, and the 3 is small enough to fit into a backpack. You can't pair the ult3 with the ult1.
With that budget, grab a pair of the sony ult3 and pair them together.
Secondpity website has the refurbished Sony ult3 speaker for $55. That is a perfect gym speaker for under $60.
Grab two refurbished Sony ult3 from secondpity for $65 and pair them together.
Sony ult5 refurbished from secondpity website for $84. Best bang for the buck and it is under $100. They only have the white one in stock, the black ult5 is oos.

I owned the Sony Field 3 for a few years and upgraded to [JBL Charge 6](https://www.reviewni.com/product/B0DN35M7S9) recently. Seriously it blew me away. I’ve cycled through a ton of Bluetooth speakers over the years like Bose, Sony, UE, you name it but this one’s something special. First off, the sound out of the box is super clear with solid, punchy bass (not muddy at all), and it fills up my small apartment no problem. I love that you can fine-tune the EQ in the JBL app, but honestly, I didn’t feel much need to tweak it, it sounds awesome as is. Battery life is fantastic. I’ve taken it on a few long days out and never even got close to draining it. It’s also small enough to tag along anywhere, but still packs a surprising 45W punch. For movies or music, streaming through Spotify, it just crushes it and if you’re really into bass, like I am, max out the EQ and it gets that deep thump (with zero distortion, even cranked up). I test-drove it head-to-head against the Sony Field 3 and, IMO, the JBL comes out on top, especially for bass lovers who don’t want to compromise clarity.
Marshall Emberton III or the new Sony ULT Field 3. The Sony has good bass and sounds great. It's light and would be easy to carry. It's also waterproof. It sounds almost as good as my Sony XG300 in a much smaller and lighter package. The Marshall is smaller and has great sound and very good bass as well. Under 2lbs.
I’m looking for a small yet loud portable Bluetooth speaker that I can easily carry in my backpack while traveling. It should have good sound quality with strong bass, long-lasting battery life, and ideally be waterproof—or at least splash-proof. Budget isn’t an issue if it’s from a reliable brand. I’ve read reviews for JBL, Marshall, and Bose speakers, but I’m still confused and would appreciate a second opinion. Can you help me find the perfect speaker? I chose the [Sony ULT Field 3](https://myinvitelink.com/sony-ult-field-3-wireless-portable-bluetooth-speaker-review/) because it simply checked all the boxes, it's compact, loud, great battery life, and waterproof. It made the most sense.
I’ve got a few options on my list, but I’ll definitely check out the Sony ULT Field 3 and read some reviews
ult 3 is not boomy at all, and has much better sound than ult 1, ult 5 or ult 7
I’d say out of those 3 charge6. The plus which I haven’t heard in person yet, probably needs 2 for stereo. I have a sl max and Bose has a unique sound signature that’s not for everyone. Also depends if it’s indoors, small area, or wide open space. I listened to the charge6 and it sounds great imo. The ult3 didn’t impress me but the c6 did.
Marshall Middleton first gen. It’s a heavy beast but has the best balance. JBL has the best software but the sound profile is fatiguing. The ULT 3 is boomy compared to the better balanced ULT 1 and excellent ULT 7. Emberton 2 has great vocal clarity but not much bass. Middleton corrects that shortcoming. It’ll work well with what you listen to.
