Ult tower 9 is a beast! The sound travels really far and clear. I wanted to see how clear and far I can hear it so I walked 3 houses over and I can still hear it clearly.. I dont recall the volume level we had it set at but it wasn’t at 100%. Doesn’t have the bass/low of JBLs but I think the balance and clarity is way better. One thing I do like about the JBLs is the removable battery’s though.. But overall I do like the Sony better for sound.. You won’t go wrong with either one though. Enjoy your next speaker!
I got this Soundcore Boom 2+ about 2 weeks ago and im just in love with it. I got it for $100 at a nice discount on a on-line store in my country. From the build quality (verry nice not cheap plastic like some say abd its verry solid along with the thick metal grill on the front, again some said its thin and idk what they really consider thick enough). To the conectivity which is seemless even if we talk connecting your device or pair other soundcore speakers in tws or stereo mode. The battery on this thing is super good and can get thrue o full day no problem which to be honest i dont think we need more than that to say a battery is good. Lights are nice (i like the fire effect, the only one i use) but i dont really like tha fact that light react only to bass, but still its cool. And last but the most important, sound quality. Out of the box is boomy and hallow at least for my ears, but with the right eq man... this is a no brainer to go for. Verry good bass down to 37hz in my tests clear mids and sharp enough highs for indoor and out door, and that thanks to the in app eq which actually does something unlike other brands. And this comes from someone who has JBL xtreme series 1 and 4, partybox 120 and sony ult tower 9. This post was not sponsored at all in fact you can see this accout is just a normal guy one's. I just want to recommand this speaker for anybody who looks for best bang for your buck and you dont really trust other chinise brand speakers long term and you also dont want to pay lods of cash just for a "premium" brand.
I just got one! Love it! By the way, it weigh 65 pounds so taking outside is going to be a challenge. Anyway, it is loud and well balanced. There are bassier speakers out there for this price point but this one has great balanced sound quality. By the way, I am a hip hop and dancehall reggae listener and this speaker has what I need.
After testing this speaker and comparing it with other party-sized speakers in our inventory, I can confidently say it’s one of the bassiest speakers we’ve tried. Enabling *ULT Mode 2* takes the low end even further, it literally shakes our testing room haha. I see that you also like the Sony Ult wear, so this speaker is right down your alley 😁
2 Sony ULT 1's and the Sony Music center App. was my choice after trying several brands. Two ears; two separate speakers. Very precise big sound, small package and the versatility. One speaker is very impressive by itself. I'm a 70 year old retired Engineer in northern Wisconsin now but luncheons with R and D Audio Engineers, Dr. Koss Audio Inventor, East and West Coast USA Manufacturers etc. My biggest setup is 3 tube amps 580 watts/8 ohms. The speakers are custom and 2-15", 4 -3"x9" horns and 3 super tweeters. That's per 2 piece speaker per side the size of a large refrigerator
I bought the Sony ult 1. I have a charge 5, but wanted something smaller and more portable so I decided to try the Sony, if I don't like it ill just get the jbl flip 6
Most reviews ive seen they claimed the jbl flip 6 to be the best in the class
I ended up getting the Sony ult 1
I love the clarity & the bass is decently good.
I think it's in replicate mode and no stereo, that's why I purchased them too, to try it out haha. It's not the better/clean bass out there but it's better than Sony ULT 1 for example, on a prettier package imho.
JBL GO4: Portable, Punchy Bass, surprisingly loud. Bass dips off at higher volumes (80-100) Sony ULT 1: Much more Expensive, less portable, much more bass, louder, bass doesn't dip off as much. (90-100) 2x JBL GO4: Still pretty portable, much more bass than Sony Ult 1, Stereo, much more louder, portable, less Expensive. (JBL GO4 has a single Full Frequency Driver, Sony Ult 1 has a Tweeter and a Woofer, JBL has a single speaker that handles everything, 2 drivers handling their own job. JBL GO4 has 1 Passive Bass Radiator, Sony Ult has 2 Passive Bass Radiator.) Both speakers are very good for their size. If you want to go with the JBL's brother, JBL Flip 7.
