Sony SRS XP700 is what I would recommend anyone. I got 2 of them for 400 second hand, the battery life is absolutely insane (12h on max, 24h on 70ish%), the sound is warm and beautiful, and the bass (+bass boost) is pretty astonishing. It's quite a bit bigger than the one in the picture, but that also means that you can throw an actual small party with just one of these.

I have an XP700 and want to get a 2nd to the same thing. What cables and inputs are you using? I thought of going XLR to 1/4ā€ mic input. Is this the way? TIA!

Yes, but to be clear, mine are hardwired via RCA out and an RCA splitter. .

What you linked is laughably too small. I do the same with 2 Sony xp700s and nobody complains. I can power the whole setup with my AZ for about 10 hours with a slightly larger power center. I take everything down + flight case in a little collapsible cart along with all cables and cords. You can get those speakers on sale or open box for less than $300. https://i.imgur.com/SCaX2eA.jpeg

I had a 720wh Ecoflow and I can power my setup for 8-10 hours along with my board. The Sony xp700 speakers have built in batteries but I had them plugged in for extra power. I was only drawing an average of 60 watts at any given time.

For the record, I have two of them. Sorry but my friends with gear like yours don't agree after hearing my setup. Sorry your speakers are so power hungry. Pic below for proof. Volume was 70% or so. https://i.imgur.com/pjbw2xR.jpeg

I'm not here to argue physics with you. I'm just telling you that I've played my (2)speakers for my friends with Harbinger and EV PA speakers, and they said mine were just as good and I've told you how much they draw. Do with that info what you will man, I don't care what you do--just trying to help others.

Up until this week I was using (2) Sony XP700s connected via RCA to 1/8"/aux with great success. I only stopped using these because I now have QSC 12.2s. The Sonys have a built in battery, which I would supplement with a portable power center for when we would do pop ups and set up around town without power. They can be picked up open box from Best Buy for under $300 and get pretty damn loud.Ā

I second the sony xp700. It is such a fantastic speaker for parties and the handles make it very portable. I've done many events such as house parties and outdoor community events with it and it's been perfect.
