I have an XP700 and want to get a 2nd to the same thing. What cables and inputs are you using? I thought of going XLR to 1/4” mic input. Is this the way? TIA!

I got 2 Sony xp700s open box for about $300 each. My recommendation.

Yes, but to be clear, mine are hardwired via RCA out and an RCA splitter. .

I definitely do not travel with mine but I have 2 Sony XP700 speakers for at home or at the pool and I love em. Set them up for my DJ friends last night and they kept saying they sounded great. I'm a Hi-Fi guy turned amateur DJ and I agree. I would say something like that or the JBL Partybox is going to be your best bet if you can maybe buy and then sell them when you leave to try and recoup your $. Funny you posted this about Tulum because my friend was just saying that's what he wanted to do in January as well. I said speaker rental prices would be crazy high 😂.

What you linked is laughably too small. I do the same with 2 Sony xp700s and nobody complains. I can power the whole setup with my AZ for about 10 hours with a slightly larger power center. I take everything down + flight case in a little collapsible cart along with all cables and cords. You can get those speakers on sale or open box for less than $300. https://i.imgur.com/SCaX2eA.jpeg

I had a 720wh Ecoflow and I can power my setup for 8-10 hours along with my board. The Sony xp700 speakers have built in batteries but I had them plugged in for extra power. I was only drawing an average of 60 watts at any given time.

For the record, I have two of them. Sorry but my friends with gear like yours don't agree after hearing my setup. Sorry your speakers are so power hungry. Pic below for proof. Volume was 70% or so. https://i.imgur.com/pjbw2xR.jpeg

I'm not here to argue physics with you. I'm just telling you that I've played my (2)speakers for my friends with Harbinger and EV PA speakers, and they said mine were just as good and I've told you how much they draw. Do with that info what you will man, I don't care what you do--just trying to help others.

I second the sony xp700. It is such a fantastic speaker for parties and the handles make it very portable. I've done many events such as house parties and outdoor community events with it and it's been perfect.
