The EarFun UBOOM X has slightly deeper bass and better overall audio quality than the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus. Tribit StormBox Lava and Soundcore Boom 2 are both one size and performance class below the other two.
Just ordered a Boom 2 + so I’m glad to hear that at least I didn’t waste my money. It was a hard sell between it and the 2, I went with the + based on the reviews on Amazon but still kept second guessing myself.
Beautiful, I got it for when I’m working on my truck or wood and for chilling in the hot tub or bath so it sounds like this is exactly what I was looking for as I won’t even need to crank it up real loud. Many thanks, you have assuaged most of my worries.
The soundcore boom 2 is 45hz. The soundcore boom 2 plus is larger, but is 40hz.
The boom 2 is amazing for its size, but of course the boom 2 + is much louder
I have a sound core boom 2 plus and x20 yeah the x20 can get louder but the sound quality does not compare. Even the bass at lower volumes sound core is much better. JBL sounds better at higher volume than the boom 2 plus and x20 but soundcore sounds great for the price and the lights are a nice bonus.
Boom 2 plus latest firmware custom eq is a great speaker. Anyone trashing it does not have one. The boom 2 is not the same as the boom 2 plus.
There both pretty loud but a plus definitely delivers the bass.
Just got the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus and it’s great. Bit huge but it’s the only version with an aux and it’s loud enough for busking. Low end sounds great on it, there’s a bass boost that’s a bit much but sounds nice.
Idk about charge 5 but have a boom 2 plus…it’s meh. I guess for a Bluetooth speaker it be considered good. You can at least hear the bass but also hear the lyrics quite well as well. It isn’t drowned out
soundcore boom 2 or 2 plus more then enough and amazing bass
for listening outside the home soundcore boom 2 Plus is the best, for anything else Soundcore Motion X600 is the way to go
I have an Soundcore Motion x600 for home listening and as a portable speaker Soundcore Boom 2 Plus and I think those are better than the not-unicorn you're talking about
Boom 2 plus and uboom x should be in the large category. Yes, they are lighter than others but they are 2-3 times the weight and size of the rest of the medium category.
Maybe try the soundcore boom 2. Advertised 80w power. They're $89 before taxes with free shipping on amazon with prime. I've seen them at Walmart on display and they're very portable and have a nice carry handle built in. I have the soundcore boom 2 + and its twice the speaker but runs $189 before taxes and also has free shipping on Amazon. While I'm not 100% impressed with it I do like my boom 2 +. Great speaker for the money and I've entertained grabbing the regular boom 2 just to try it out.
I'll fill you in on my experience with it. Battery life is good provided you don't turn it up really loud. I typically use it around 12 to 14 hours straight at around 40% or less volume with the bass boost on and lights off and it still has yet to flash the low battery warning (power light flashing red) when I get home. Has 1 bar of life left when I get home and put it on charge so it probably has roughly 1.5 to 2 hours of life left if i didn't charge it. The soundcore app has excellent equalizer customization so you can really dial it in if you choose to. Fairly portable, decent size, good weight and the strap it comes with is really handy as well. Sounds good as well and feels fairly durable. I've bounced it off metal poles, door frames and what not while its slung over my shoulder and it takes those hits good. Forgot to mention its usb c charging as well which is great but in my experience it needs a USB c to USB c charge cable. Mine refuses to charge with a conventional USB a to c cable which i find odd but my charger i use in my living room is c to c so its fine. My few gripes with it is the battery and sound quality dipping at max volume. Listen to it loudly and it goes dead really fast. Also I bought it as an alternative to my jbl boombox 2 and that speaker is over 4 years old and the battery lasts much longer than my soundcore. As for loud sound quality on the boom 2 + the subs click and pop like their being over worked when at max volume. So if you listen to it loudly turn the bass boost off before cranking it up. Now I have heard you can really play with the equalizer in the app and dial it in to the point where bass boost isn't needed anymore plus it'll sound loads better too. I haven't played with that yet on mine since I'm not listening to it super loud so for what I use it for the preset "premium" equalizer option plus bass boost works out fine for me. Excellent speaker for the money and you made a good choice. Its up there on my recommendation for a budget minded boombox that still sounds good.
The regular boom 2 advertises 80w power and the monster sport has 60w. Just going off what's advertised I'd say slightly louder.
