Sure it had ldac and won award 2024 while micro 2 won several years ago. Altho as it is i can get 2 of micros for one of those and i can put them as different courners of the room instead od front facing. Altho it looks good and i like sound core i would still get two micros as a pair.

I’ve been test driving a soundcore motion 300 and uboom L. Motion 300 is very clear to my ears. Uboom is as well but falls a little behind the motion 300 to my ears. It’s also on the bad firmware version and I don’t have a pc to get the required program to change it though, so that’s something to consider.

I bought both the Uboom L and motion 300 to compare the 2 and ended up keeping the 300. Uboom sounded nice and had a little more bass but there were too many hoops to jump through to change the firmware to the “right one” for the best tuning. Maybe once it’s added into app functionality I’ll try it again. The 300 sounds great and full for its size when EQ’d right. I also don’t like the exposed passive radiators on smaller speakers I’ll be carry/packing around a lot, but that’s just a personal preference thing.

I’m torn on it. Reviews are all really positive about it and it does sound good and clear but it’s almost like too clear/sharp? I’ll play with the EQ a bit and see otherwise I think I’ll return it and wait for the Bose flex to be $100 again lol

I personally use my own made eq on the 300. It just sounds different, the bose is more vshaped and more upperbass heavy, the motion 300 really benefits from it's stereo. So i'd stay with the motion.

To be honest, i don't even use LDAC on the soundcore. I use it through SBC and it still remains on top of my list. Gen 2 is right up there, but i give the stereo advantage of the 300 a few points. The bose is more convenient than the soundcore, and has more body to the bass, even tho i believe the soundcore goes deeper without having this xtreme upperbass. The klipsch has replicated marshall. Same setup as the emberton series. I personally don't like that driver placement. I know that technically the flex setup is basically one of the 2 sides of the nashville, but if it has any chance of being stereo it does a bad job at it

As others mentioned, for 100 dollars you can get some pretty good value speakers at different size categories. Soundcore is known for delivering big sound for small bucks. We got soundcore motion 300 which is a speaker i really enjoy. It's not a speaker for bass, it's great for quality listening and it has stereo. It does go loud, but like most speakers do, the louder you go it loses sound quality, not as much as some others do tho. If you want to get the most out of around 100 dollars, soundcore boom 2 is a value king, delivering lots of power for the size and price, but is built on the cheaper side, and the quality isn't as good as more expensive ones (you can eq it to make it somewhat decent)

Going off AudioMan's suggestion, I can also confirm that Soundcore is a pretty good budget brand. ANKER is a very good accessories brand, making some of the best cables and chargers for electronics. I love their chargers, and I've reecommended chargers, USB hubs, and their Soundcore products to just about everyone. A whiiiiile back, I got the Soundcore Wakey. I'm not sure if you can still find it, but it's a Bluetooth speaker clock. It has capacitive buttons on the front, but it also connects to the Soundcore app (yay... another app lol) to set alarms and do white noise machine stuff. It has an FM radio mode, USB ports for slow charging devices, wireless charging up top (the old kind that can take forever but not heat up your phone as bad), and even an aux-in. Also, AudioMan recommended the Soundcore Motion X600, but that speaker is essentially a boombox. Its younger sibling, the Motion X300, is much more portable. It's probably as large as a clutch purse or something, but it's got a pretty robust strap with a button fastener. It's a little heavy for clipping to your belt or belt loop, but it gives you a handle for carrying it around without having a handle getting in your way of it being portable. Best part, I [looked at the manual](https://support.soundcore.com/s/article/A3135-EN) and it *CLEARLY* says that you short press to turn on, longer press to turn off. It's got LDAC too, which is nice. For a sub-$100 speaker, it's pretty good. A single charge lasts forever, too.

I got for 120$ x2 Motion 300 which destroys absolutely every other option on the market for 150$ or under if you know how to do the soundcore app eq and have a high quality music source. I also use Dolby Atmos until half the volume and the sound is improved completely. And trust me I had every single speaker these guys here talk about.

My x2 motion 300 that I paid 60$ for each one, with my eq settings and dolby atmos, are in a completely different league than the charge 5. If you put them side by side and compare you would think that your charge 5 is fake or something. I compared them to JBL Xtreme 4 with my group of friends at a party. They said they can't believe people actually pay 400$ for the JBL,this was right when it launched. But yeah I mean JBL does have some good value in the partybox line, if you can get a good price on them, they are actually a really good deal. But otherwise, they do not impress me by any means. Each with their own after all.

SoundLink Max just sounds very nice, but high price. You also have eq HK go play 3,a great speaker x2 motion 300,what i mostly use. Custom eq in ap, custom dolby atmos eq and playing generally from Tidal. If you test the speakers from the box vs how mine sound. You would 100% say the brand new ones are fake lmao :)). But that's the nice thing about them, you can make them sound amazing, got em for ~ 60$/piece Sonos Move 2. Got it for I think 300$ reboxed. Very nice speaker. Onyx studio 7&8. The 7 was like 150$ on a deal recently. Not a big difference between them in sound. Modern look, good solid sound. Beosound a1 gen 2. Only if you get a nice deal for 150$ or less. Quality build and detailed sound quality. For low volume listening only, max 50% I would say. Devialet Mania. Amazing speaker, very overpriced. I saw the grey one, reboxed for 600$,maybe your lucky and get it for 500$,a more "acceptable" price. Beosound A5. Just amazing, very expensive.

The Motion 300 is a decent shout, but it's only IPX7, so you're not going to get that the dustproofing. And the grille design makes it a bit hard to clean dust out from. The Clip series is decent back lacks quality compared to the slightly larger speakers. I'd personally recommend the Bose SoundLink Flex or the new SoundLink Max. Those SoundLinks have some of the more durable speakers I've handled.

I tested the Motion 300, Motion X500 and X600 recently in order to review them and honestly, I liked the X500 the most. It seemed to hold the most value. The X600 was a good speaker too, and I honestly liked the spatial audio feature. People call it a gimmick, but I think it depends how you approach it. The spatial audio setting added a perceived increase in dynamics and Soundstage, but it's not life changing. I also tested the Boom 2, which performed better than I had expected, but it's quiet a different speaker than the Motion X series which felt better suited to home use. The shell isn't what I'd consider particularly outdoor friendly compared to plastic shells. I won't spam the review links (can always share via DM to those interested). But I honestly like the X500 quote a lot for its price.

I have enjoyed the Wonderboom. I like the small footprint and 360 sound actually works well. JBL Flip 6 is good. It likely has a little bit better sound quality than Wonderboom (wonderboom sounds quite good, but I think JBL adds a bit more bass). Soundcore Motion 300 is good too. It is modeled after the Bose Flex. It does sound really good.

I think for best sound quality the Bose Flex and the JBL Flip 6 both sound really good. The Sony Ult 1 also sounds really good that is easy to pickup for 99 at Walmart USA. (Costco USA has the Bose for 99). Both the Soundcore Glow and Motion 300 are both really good. The 300 rips off the Bose design, but it has all of its best options of the Bose like it knows when it flat or on the edge and adjust the speakers based upon this. I have the Wonderboom 2. The newer 4 has improved base. I do like its 360 sound design and its small footprint that makes it easy to carry around.

Bluetooth_Speakers • Which speaker should i get ->

I would agree that Bose Soundlink Flex 2 has the best sound quality in a small personal size. The Wonderboom is a great device. I still use WB2. It has great sound for the size and 360 sound claim is legitimate. Wonderboom 4 improved the bass over the 2. It is super easy to carry around with its softball size. Soundcore has so many speakers it is confusing. I would pick Motion 300 as best personal sized speaker. It borrowed many of the Bose Flex features such as sensing if it is laying flat or on its edge and adjusting speaker output. The Glow Mini or regular mini are good too.

I do love the Wonderboom myself. You hear so much random stuff, but some people here thought thought the Wonderboom 4 sounded better than the Boom 4, but I have no idea if that is true. I did buy the Wonderboom 2 during covid, and I love the clear sound and the portability. It seems true that Wonderboom 4 has better bass and sounds better at 80 percent max volume. Walmart does have some pretty good demo speakers currently. They have a good number Soundcore speakers that do sound good. The Soundcore Motion 300 sounds good. It is modeled on the Bose Flex that is supposed the best sounding personal speaker. So, the 300 usually costs $80.00. The Audio editor from cnet has given me some good headphone suggestions. He thought the Bose was the best personal speaker, but the Soundcore 300 really is competitve with the JBL Flip 6, Boom 4 and other. You could buy two of those for true stereo if the budget allows or add another later. The Tribit Flow is another Bose imitation, but it seems to sound really good too. The new Sony Ult 1 is really good sounding speaker. Walmart sells it for $99.00 it sounded really good too. Several of these speakers that look like old school jam boxes supposedly sound great. So, the Soundcore Boom 2 or the Tribit Stormbox Blast. I did hear the Soundcore Boom 2, and it does sound great. This cnet list of the best bluetooth speakers helped me. You can get the detailed review by clicking on the individual item. Got my Xiaomi Sound Outdoor in yesterday that I bought as a gift for my girlfriend. Watched Techder Audios his videos on it and I got extremely curious. I must say so myself, I don’t know how Xiaomi is making a profit off of this, selling this on Aliexpress for 42 euro’s (on first purchase deal). It feels premium and sounds stunning! Very balanced which is what I mainly picked up on the first time listening to it. It has great bass extension for its size and it does do a really good job keeping bass at higher volumes. Comparing it to my other speakers in my collection only emphasizes my results further. My HK Luna sounds bigger with lower bass extension and fuller bass, but a lot warmer. Both have a good treble response but the Xiaomi is less emphasized. And my EQ’d Motion 300 has better detail in upper treble, but sounds a bit thinner, especially on higher volumes, compared to the Sound Outdoor. My motion 300 has the 13k slider on +4db tho so that’s probably what is causing for a more “detailed” seeming sound, but the Xiaomi holds its own against the 300. It is very much mono tho, which is however something that suprised me for this price point. A racetrack driver + tweeter setup for 42 euro’s is nothing to complain about. Nothing really beats this for 42 bucks in my opinion, it is waterproof as well and allows for multi speaker connection up to 100 Sound Outdoors, battery life also seems great. Very happy with this and I’m sure my girlfriend will like it too :)

In some testing I did I found that the Motion 300 with my EQ is more detailed, has a bigger soundstage due to the stereo setup compared to the mono setup, and overall, sounds better. The Xiaomi Outdoor has more mid bass whilst the Motion 300 has a little but more deep bass. Both have great clarity but the Motion 300 has focus in the 8khz region which gives off some sparkle. The Motion 300 suffers from a bit of distortion at higher volumes where the Xiaomi keeps it clean. I do think the Motion 300 is the more complete package here in terms of features, but the Xiaomi is cheaper and not far off. They trade blows with each other on some tracks.

Something like the uboom L/soundcore motion 300 is what you would want. Fitting in every backpack, even fitting in some bug pockets, pretty loud for the size. The bass could be some issue but it is what it is when you want something portable. I think motion 300 is amazing because of it's built in strap. I also own both and tend to gravitate toward the Uboom L for everything except when I have to put it in a bag. The Motion 300 has a recessed power button that can't be accidentally pressed which is a huge plus when it's flopping around in a bag. There is the JBL Clip 4, which is kinda the perfect hiking speaker and meets all your requirements. Anything larger like a Flip 6 or even larger Charge 5 is going to be a bit heavier, harder to attach, and flop around more because of how round they are. The B&O Beosound A1 is another great choice if money is no object. The Soundcore motion 300 is really nice if you want stereo sound from a speaker similar to the bose soundlink flex, but better in my opinion. I think the flex is highly overrated. It'll sound better around a campfire too than the clip 4.

Oops, apologies -- I always have a ton of notifications and probably missed the Q. I returned mine purely because I needed a BT speaker for a series of gatherings at the time that never happened. In the absence of those events, I had little use for a Bluetooth speaker of any kind -- big or small -- and eventually decided to return my Luna. If I need a new speaker again though, I would probably broaden my search. I got a Soundcore Motion 300 for my dad (different needs and obviously less demanding ears) and I was very impressed by its power and clarity. The 300 and Luna are not exactly comparable products especially price wise -- but the 300 packed a lot of punch for its price whereas Luna delivered more crisp and clear vocals in my perception.

I agree with the other replies that two speakers are better than one. It depends on how big you are willing to carry around. My favorite that I've settled on is the Soundcore Boom 2. Although it is slightly larger than my idea size for a portable speaker, the handle makes it easy to move around. In my opinion it is just about the perfect balance of size, clarity, and bass for a portable speaker. It has great sound and great bass (even outside). It just won't fit in a small spot. For a smaller speaker, I would recommend the Earfun Uboom L or the Soundcore Motion 300 or the Bose Soundlink Flex. Again, a pair of these in stereo will get the best most room filling sound. All of these are small and easy to carry and easy to place anywhere. If you just want one speaker, I would recommend the Tribit Stormbox Blast or the Earfun Uboom X. They both sound great, with full sound, clarity, and deep bass. But they are huge! Probably not easily carried from room to room, but that that is your decision to make. The Soundcore Boom 2 would be good as a single speaker too, with a smaller size, but it won't sound quite as good as these other two.

I have been a fanboy for the Earfun Uboom L since I bought two of them last September. I've been using them ever since mostly in TWS mode for stereo listening. I've been really happy with them, they sound great, but I keep seeing all these new speakers coming out and I can't help but wonder if there is something better out there. The biggest competitor for me is the Soundcore Motion 300 as it is a similar size, is #2 on the speaker rankings list and it is supposed to have more low bass than the Uboom L (50hz compared to 56hz). I finally bought one and I've spent the last couple of days comparing the two inside and outside with a variety of genres of music and at different volume levels. I am really impressed with the 300. At this time, I can't pick one over the other. Once the EQ is adjusted on the Motion 300, the two speakers sound very similar. I tried Oluv's Uboom L copycat EQ, but didn't find it that comparable, maybe because I always use my Uboom L in outdoor mode. My EQ settings for the 300 are: (+5,+1,0,0,+1,+2,+3,+5,+6). To my ears, this was comparable to the Uboom L in outdoor mode, but I am not an audiophile or music professional. I think my EQ settings make sense when comparing to the [frequency response graph from rtings](https://www.rtings.com/speaker/0-8/graph/4553/frequency-response-graph/anker-soundcore-motion-300/45848). In general, I found both to be detailed and clear, but in different ways. **The Uboom L was more open and airy, but at the same time smooth. The Motion 300 was tighter and had a fuller sound.** I felt like I could hear more of the frequency spectrum (fuller sound) with the 300, but the Uboom felt like at most times it had better separation. At other times, the 300 sounded like it had better spatial distribution of sound. Vocals seem very forward on the Uboom, everything is more evenly spread on the 300. Again, **it's hard for me to pick a winner, because on some songs the Uboom sounded better, but on others the 300 sounded better.** The bass on both is great. I will say that the 300 has deeper overall bass, which becomes more apparent on some songs, but the Uboom is very close (closer than I thought) and has a way of resonating better and smoother. On some songs, the Uboom L sounded like it had the deeper bass. One thing I love the most about the Uboom is that is maintains good bass even at low volumes levels. I tested it against the Motion + and the Motion Boom last year and the Uboom had much better bass at low volumes. However, **the 300 is just as good and maybe even better than the Uboom at maintaining bass at low levels (using my EQ). Plus I think it sounded clearer than the Uboom at low volumes.** I felt like Jazz, synthwave, and lofi sounded better on the 300. Acoustic guitar sounded slightly better on the 300, though the Uboom L picked up more details like the picking and strumming of guitar strings. Indie, alternative, and rock sounded better on the Uboom L. Now that I know the 300 is a very good speaker, I will need to purchase another to listen to them paired in stereo. At this point, in my mind they are tied with each having their own superior qualities. I will listen to both over the next month or so and see which one I ended up using more.

OP here. I wanted to add that after some more testing I noticed something important about the bass. Although the bass on the 300 is deeper, it DOES NOT PROJECT OVER A DISTANCE. This is true inside, but especially outside. I was testing from a distance of about 15' and the bass on the 300 was WAY quieter than the UBL. The 300 EQ was set to +6dB on the lowest slider and the UBL was in outdoor mode. The bass just projects and resonates better on the UBL. Detail is similar. Over a distance, the UBL projects better detail than the 300. At close listening (around 3') they sound more similar in bass and detail. I've decided to return the 300. It is a REALLY nice speaker, but it just isn't better than the UBL. I don't need two different speakers for the same situations.

I've been using the Earfun Uboom L for a long while now for ALL of my bluetooth speaker needs (work desk, on the deck, around the fire, camping, in the garage, etc.). I really love the speaker, especially when paired with another in TWS. However, **I have been looking for something with a little more bass and fullness, especially when outdoors. I really value clarity, fullness, bass, and neutrality, in that order.** After some research on this subreddit, **I decided to try the Soundcore Boom 2**. I saw a video on youtube comparing the Boom 2 to the Boom 2 SE (Walmart's version of the Boom 2). **For those of you that don't know, the Boom 2 SE has two 2.76" full range drivers, where the regular Boom 2 has one 3.54" x 4.72" racetrack woofer and two .79" tweeters.** In the video, both speakers sounded good, with the Boom 2 having more bass, but also sounding a little muddy (loss of detail due to the loud bass). I decided to purchase the SE, which I got from Walmart for $79. The SE arrived and I compared it to my Uboom L. Inside and outside, near and far, with all different types of music (mainly jazz, lofi, synth, acoustic, and rock). **I will say that the SE sounded better than the Uboom L for the most part.** The bass was better, it was fuller, and clarity was similar. It was decent at low volumes (which is how I listen to music most of the time), but the Uboom L is king at ultra low volume (10-20%)! **One thing about the SE though, is that it kind of sounded like the music was coming from inside of the speaker.** I know that sounds silly, because of course it is coming from inside the speaker, but one of the best things about the Uboom L is that it sounds really open and airy like the music is coming from the air rather than from the speaker itself. I really love that quality. I also tried the Soundcore Motion 300 against the Uboom L too and although it sounded really good (more bass, fuller), it also wasn't as open and airy. So after testing, I decided to keep the SE for outdoor use as it seemed better for those needs. But....I was just too curious to know what the regular Boom 2 sounded like. Was it better? I had to be sure I picked the right one. So I bought the regular Boom 2 off Amazon for $99. It arrived and I tested it against the SE (inside/outside, near/far, etc.) and **WOW, the regular Boom 2 is so much better.** Yes it's bass is boomy, but you can adjust the EQ to tame that down. Once it is tamed down, **it is actually a really clear sounding speaker with great bass** (just what I was looking for!). And another great thing, **it actually sounds open and airy, like the music is NOT coming from a box.** I'm also really happy with the form factor. It's not too big. I tried the Uboom X as well, which sounded GREAT, but it was just too big for my needs. The Boom 2 is between the Uboom L and the Uboom X in size. Plus the flat rectangular box shape works well for laying it flat (like the Motion 300 or Bose Flex) for more of a 360 sound (though it needs a LOT of adjustment to make the sound OK in that orientation, and even then, it doesn't sound super). **It's actually a pretty directional speaker that does not sound as well off axis or in this upward orientation.** I'm really happy with it so far (maybe I'll get another for TWS!) and my recommendation for anyone would be to spend the extra $20 for the regular Boom 2 as it's really a lot better.

I guess it depends on the liking. I think it looks better than Tribit flow, but the tribit has reverse charging as a feature which I think should be standard (though not many have it).

Yes, i have owned JBL speakers, more specifically, 2 JBL Partybox Encore Essential and 2 JBL Charge 5's. The partyboxes were one of the best speakers i've ever had and the Charge 5's were some really nice speakers, though for me, the Soundcore motion+ mentioned in my post has better overall sound and soundstage. The only problem i had with JBL is that the Charge 5's had connectivity issues when paired in stereo. The best speaker that i own right now is my Bose soundlink Max. It has amazing soundstage, impressive bass, and unpaired instrument separation, though is a bit overpriced because you can get something bigger and better for the price, but for the size is the best without a doubt. If you're looking to switch brands i think that Soundcore is your best option, because Sony speakers are still mediocre unless you buy the Big ones, and Bose is overpriced and has no variety. Though i have to say that maybe your experience was simply bad luck, because for the majority of people here, JBL is the brand that is leading in terms of portable speakers. It has speakers for every size and use, it is relatively affordable and has great sound on all of their speakers. Still, to make my recommendations, for something cheap and nice, you can look for the Soundcore motion+ and Soundcore motion 300 (i have both). For bigger options, Soundcore boom 2, earfun uboom X, or tribit stormbox blast.

Yes, it is somewhat close, but i've tried quite a few of S size speakers (about the size of a JBL flip 6) and every speaker of that size has that problem, maybe the only one that doesn't is the Soundcore motion 300, so don't be dissapointed about it. It's just that since they're small speakers, you will normally put them at 60-70% volume where on a bigger speaker that would be about 50%, and most estimated battery life measurements are done on 50% volume, so that's why it's not too accurate on this cases.

No problem, and yeah though it is technically true that if you use it at 50% volume it could last you 12 hours, a speaker that sounds so good just makes you want to crank up that volume! If you want any opinions/recommendations though, right now my favourite and the one that i'm gonna stay with is the Earfun Uboom L (i've had Soundcore motion 300, JBL flip 6, Sony ULT Field 1, Soundcore Motion+, JBL Charge 5, etc). You might be surprised, but that single 10 band equalizer is what makes it so good, because you can have the clarity and brightness of the Flip 6 while having the strong deep bass of the Ult Field 1. Just to compare, it goes deeper and way louder than the ULT Field 1, and i think that on indoor Mode it has a deeper bass than the Charge 5, while in outdoor mode it gives an amazing party soundstage, and i also think that it goes the same loudness of the Charge 5, at least with high volume equalizers. The battery life is a bit better than the Sony too!

Sony ult field 1 gives an amazing punch in the shower, JBL flip 6 is a good option too, but if you really want a bang for your buck, the soundcore motion 300 is unbeatable with the right EQ (if you don't like creating a personal EQ, you can search one on Google too). And for a smaller option, the Sony XB100.

Second this, hidden gem and one of the longest battery life on a speaker that size. Could also go with Soundcore and the Motion 300 but Tribit X Sound 2 is 24H while Soundcore is 13H

I collect small bluetooth speakers. Over the years i keep trying new brands. I'm impressed with the Tribit XSound Plus 2 and even better for its great low price and 24H battery which there isn't many with that high battery. Clean sound and bass and the bass boost really thumps. It also has aux which is why I was looking around for a smaller speaker with aux because there isn't many besides the UBoom L which i also have but I also have a bunch of Soundcore like the Mini 3 and Motion 300 but theres no aux. I'm also looking to add the Tribit StormBox 2 which is another small speaker from them and it also has aux but it looks more durable and for travel and outdoor. From other brands those more durable and outdoor ones are made for travel and party uses are more bass focused and not as clean audio so have to compare but right now XSound Plus 2 I'm impressed.

Save your money and get two 300's. It's close enough to the Flex Gen 2 that any differences are not worth the cost difference. Additionally, the Flex gen 2 bleeds battery at about 10% per week. So if you had the Flex 2 without charging in two months, it'll be dead. Bose refuses to acknowledge this problem. the Bose Max also has this problem. There's a thread here just dealing with tis problem.

I like the 300, but the Flex Gen 2 is a bit better. The 300's LDAC setting cuts out too much with Android. It's more inconsistent compared to the Flex 2. But bang for buck for a student with less $, the 300 (or Motion +) is unbeatable. The one thing Soundcore lacks are better parts. You get what you pay for. The BT 5.3 has more delay for movies then the Flex 2 or Nashville. This shouldn't be. And the batteries should last longer from suddenly crapping out in 3 years compared to solid American designed units. And then we have the Nashville which is as good/better as the Bose, but has a superior form factor in turning it vertically for less a footprint on the table, true 360 degree sound (sounds the same front or back), longer battery life at 24 hrs, and a mic. The Flex 2 is a solid performer, but they should have added a stronger battery. The Gen 2 is too similar to the Gen 1.

Since it has two drivers, some people mistakenly think of it as "stereo." It's not, really. BUT, for the price, it's a decent alternative, since you can buy two and pair them for a little more than a retail-priced Flex 2. I bought both of mine as factory refurbs for under $100, though. But comparing one-to-one, the Bose simply sounds richer, and more balanced. The 300 is "good enough" for those wanting to spend $50-70, though.

Just search Google with the keywords "refurbished" or "factory refurbished" for any items you like. As for a paired group of 300s, I think (but don't know from experience) they'd offer better separation, be louder by a bit, and give you true stereo. Plus, you could always travel with just one as your on-the-road speaker and be happy with it.

I second this. This is a really good idea. Most “room filling” sound is going to be too loud for your neighbors. BUT, a pair or more small speakers together will SOUND fuller even at lower volumes. Flip 6 is good. EarFun Uboom L sounds really good in stereo and at low volumes. Plus you can switch to indoor mode for less “boom”. Motion 300 is really good too and would work well for your situation.

All I can say is a 300 or a pair of them sounds great to my ears with the included EQs. If you get those Oluv EQ settings or find something similar, they are damn impressive for the size. I haven’t heard the Glows to compare them to, but I imagine they would be decent as well. I guess the discount amount would be key. Can you get them from a place with easy returns and try them out side-by-side?

300 is great. Sounds as good to me as my Uboom L, Flip 6 or Motion Plus did, but lays flat which helps in a golf cart. I prefer the flat shape for packing and for the ability to lay flat in a golf cart, on a bed, etc. All of the above have very good sound for their respective size category…at the point when I’m splitting hairs over sound, shape, features and app become more important tie breakers.

How budget is budget? I just picked up a tribute xsound go from aliexpress's choice day sale for $17AU and it's quite balanced for a speaker of that price and gets plenty loud, also has up to 24 hour battery life. 2x 40mm driver with a passive radiator so it does lack bass. It's quite small, portable and waterproof though so it serves its purpose. Next tier up would be a big jump but would include a lot more bass, like the sound core motion range.
