Yes, that's pretty obvious but they're probably still the best options. Only thing that could be better than that is BT speakers with 9 band eq's since you can make them sound however you want. Like, i have a lot of speakers, but my most preferred ones are the Earfun Uboom L and Soundcore motion+ because they have 10 and 9 band eq's. Obviously the hardware needs to be on point too, but that's the best audio you could get, AND the Soundcore also has a hi-res códec.

The absolute best option mantaining a fairly decent portable size is the Bose Soundlink Max, and it has great soundstage because the drivers are angled to the sides, but it's hella expensive. The Soundcore motion x600 is also a good option, cheaper and directly focused on spatial audio with dedicated modes. And the smallest option is the Soundcore motion+, also has a good soundstage and it is the cheapest.

I don't think it's posible to do that with the Sony. The Soundcore on the other side is the best speaker i have for the size, with a good EQ you can make it absolutely shine, it sounds amazing, i don't know why would you say that it sounds unpleasant. You're probably using it with the default EQ.

No problem, and yeah though it is technically true that if you use it at 50% volume it could last you 12 hours, a speaker that sounds so good just makes you want to crank up that volume! If you want any opinions/recommendations though, right now my favourite and the one that i'm gonna stay with is the Earfun Uboom L (i've had Soundcore motion 300, JBL flip 6, Sony ULT Field 1, Soundcore Motion+, JBL Charge 5, etc). You might be surprised, but that single 10 band equalizer is what makes it so good, because you can have the clarity and brightness of the Flip 6 while having the strong deep bass of the Ult Field 1. Just to compare, it goes deeper and way louder than the ULT Field 1, and i think that on indoor Mode it has a deeper bass than the Charge 5, while in outdoor mode it gives an amazing party soundstage, and i also think that it goes the same loudness of the Charge 5, at least with high volume equalizers. The battery life is a bit better than the Sony too!

Honestly you're right to be suspicious. It's just no way to perfectly vet against Astro turfing some degree of support on Reddit. And anybody that does reputation management or PR for corporations knows that it's pervasive. Others, however, I'll probably sincere but they're just overly emotional or protective over a brand or maybe they recently purchased something and spent a lot of money. And so there's naturally a sort of confirmation bias.  But yes I think you're right to be suspicious.  And in general a lot of the conversation of these products are driven by social media and YouTube commentary and there there is almost a direct correlation between affiliate marketing frequency and the The amount of times these products get mentioned.  Doesn't mean they're bad I mean some consensus picks are really good deals. 2019-20 motion plus and boom we're almost universally beloved for instance and I think with good reason because of the value. The newer products from the same company, even ones with the same name released with different firmware and drivers, are more divisive

I can only speak for owning mostly soundcore gear and its done me super well. $80 ish motion+ still slaps years later with EQ bass is better than my friends pricier speakers indoor and outdoor sofar. I has good projection and a wide directionally. I haven't experience 180° (or 360°) speakers. Also a big fan of soundcore boom 1 and boom 2. Biased fan boy I've only heard 1 tribit speaker years ago that was much smaller and I didn't get to fiddle with EQ for whatever reason

Gotcha! I wish I've heard the 300, I almost scooped it. I actually bought the motion+ very recently instead of the 300 (and other contenders). The tl;Dr is I like the motion+ alot, and I'd either get 2 of those and stereo it, or 1 more 300 and stereo it. Especially if you don't have a good reason for more separate setups (like leaving one at work, one at home, for example). In case this gives any idea: I've had a Boom for the past 5 years. I like alot of genres but really love dumby thick bass. Tweak EQ alot but I settle around the Alan Ross setting that everyone uses, with a few levels raised because of some ranges I'm deaf to I love the boom heartily, but.. i instantly liked the motion+ sound more. I've used it at a small hangout indoors, and about 20 8-hour shifts in a large lobby at work for jazz/classical. The hangout had artists from all genres. This thing just THROWS sound and has a really cool presence. It also just seems to get immensely loud if you want it to. The bass never has the Booms effect but it surprised me with its power, and how much the clarity of the bass changed the vibe of most tracks. Like it's track to track based on how they're actually produced, its not just genre, but on alot of tracks I preferred the sound and feel of the motion+. There's so many factors here that make my experience here irrelevant, but there it is. Possibly my Boom is old and damaged and I don't even realize it.

Hi everyone, I recently tried the JBL Go 3 and really liked how much it vibrates under heavy bass. I also own the Soundcore Motion+ and UE Wonderboom 3, but those don’t give off the same satisfying vibration. I’m looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker (under $200 USD) that delivers strong vibration with bass, ideally equal to or more than the JBL Go 3. The more physical feedback and rumble, the better. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

What is your budget? Motion X600 ($120 at Best Buy currently), JBL Charge 6 (stack social has $125 open box) are what I would suggest trying to jump to if you can, but I have had the motion+ and it's a fantastic speaker. The two I mentioned are larger which in general will allow for a better speaker, and they are two good speakers I've used and fit well with what you're asking for.

I compared the Uboom L side by side with the Motion + and I did not hear much noticeable difference in bass depth. The Motion 300 however had noticeable deeper bass when I compared it to the UBL. And I did feel like it gave me a fuller sound than the UBL which I really liked. But I didn’t like that the bass didn’t carry over a distance on the 300. But up close at low volumes, the 300 will be good. I would give that a try. It’s not going to give you Boom 2 levels of bass though, not even close.

Maybe a Earfun u-boom L if you want a bit more bass than the Flip and about the same size. Grab a pair of them for under $150 I have a motion+ and that would work well for what you are using them for. The Soundcore motion plus can get fairly loud if you want it to. (The bigger speakers like the motion boom have much more bass) The newer Soundcore Motion x600 get's good reviews and has a eq function. (Competes with the popular Bose flex) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyaGa3I53zM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyaGa3I53zM) That would be a nice upgrade from the Flip imo.

Get a bigger speaker if you want "sub bass". I have a Motion + and it is great for it's size but not going to thump any sub woofer frequencies. The Soundcore Motion Boom/Select Pro put out much better bass. (I have a Mifa Wildbox that is very similar the soundcore Motion Boom in bass output). Had a few of the Soundcore Booms and they had great bass but it did not extend into the sub-bass region. Eons ago I had a compact Doss XL that Oluv was a big fan of and it had amazing low bass for the size but developed some rattles at high output and now living at work. I had heavyass Tribit Blast that could really rumble but at 12lbs was not that "portable". (Almost too much bass indoors !) Gave the Tribit Blast to a friend and going to try out the newer & cheaper and lighter Earfun Uboom X. Might want to check out the Harmon Kardon Studio speakers if you like the HIFI sound and from my memory did a grat job with sub-bass. I never grabbed a Uboom L because I had Motion + but I think most reviewers thought the bass was better and more extended on the U-boom L.

Soundcore's best products are the Motion+, Soundcore 3, Liberty NC, and Space One. They're the best deals for what they are. Edit: There are better deals elsewhere for other products such as: I'd rather get the Tribit Stormbox Blast over the Motion Boom. **Context** I have previously owned the Soundcore Motion+ and Uboom L (Oluv's firmware. The issue with these speakers is that they were too heavy to carry along for short trips (especially air travel without check-in). The side/downgrade from the Motion+ to the Uboom L and eventually the Micro 2 is to find a speaker that will be light and small enough to carry around. Sound-wise, i was pretty satisfied with both the Motion+ and Uboom L. The Motion+ for it's deep bass and the Uboom L for it's clarity. Both were very very impressive, and sounded much bigger than what they were. **Situation** The Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 had rave reviews everywhere, so when my Uboom L's battery went kaput, i went straight to purchase a Micro 2. When i got it, I was very satisfied with the size and the weight. Then I tried to play some music and I was completely underwhelmed. The Micro 2 sounded like a small speaker. The mid-bass kick was impressive for something it's size, but everything else sounded poor. The sub-bass is almost non-existent. The mids are very forward and rough but sounds masked. As if the speaker was put through a filter to make everything sound FM Radio like. I had expected much better from the rave reviews, but this doesn't even come close to either of my previous speakers. Major disappointment **Complication** So now I'm debating to get something better. Within the Micro's size and weight, is there anything that is significantly better? Or size remains king and I have to go with something bigger to get the sound I want? It looks like i can't get anything significantly better at this size since the Micro's already seems top pick. The JBL Flip 7 looks great and seems to have gotten really good reviews as well but as much as possible i want the portability of the Micro 2. **TLDR**: Had Motion+ and Uboom L previously. Bought Micro 2 because of the portability. Foudn out I didnt like the SQ and it sounds like a small speaker. Is size king and I just need a bigger speaker to get that sound?

Zoom Livetrack L-6 is a small 10 channel portable mixer. It can run off AA batteries or off a USB power bank. It also has built-in SD card recording of all channels and the master. So you would be able to capture whatever you're playing. When it comes to small portable speakers, be aware that portable Bluetooth speakers that have auxiliary inputs typically still run the audio through the built-in DSP when using the aux port. And the DSP can add a lot of latency. Soundcore Motion+ has lower latency than many of the other portable Bluetooth speakers.

Roland TR-6S is an excellent little portable drum machine if you like classic Roland drum sounds. It can be run off AA batteries. Or it can run it off a USB power bank. Zoom Livetrack L-6 is an excellent 10 channel portable mixer. It can be run off AA batteries or a USB power bank. And also can record to microSD, so you can capture everything you make. It would also be great to have for at home as you build out your hardware setup. Soundcore Motion+ Bluetooth speaker has an auxiliary input and fairly low latency for a Bluetooth speaker. Lots of Bluetooth speakers with an auxiliary input have bad latency because they are still processing the audio through their DSP.

Are you talking about a portable Bluetooth speaker? Those can have latency problems for music production. Even when connected by an auxiliary cable instead of using Bluetooth. Because the sound is processed through the built-in DSP. Soundcore Motion+ has lower latency than a lot of them. You might check it out. Of course, it's not going to be good for mixing and mastering. No portable Bluetooth speaker will be. For that you want to stick with headphones for portable use.

So Bluetooth speakers with auxiliary output are not quite as common as they used to be. The other problem you may have is that even when connected by auxiliary cable, Bluetooth speakers still process the audio through their DSP. So you may experience latency problems. Based on research when I got it a couple years ago, the Soundcore Motion+ has less latency than most. And sounds decent for a $75 Bluetooth speaker https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Soundcore-Bluetooth-Customizable-Waterproof/dp/B07P39MLKH

Be aware that a lot of portable Bluetooth speakers have very high latency. Even when using a wired connection. Because the latency is caused by the DSP processing that the speakers use to make the speaker sound better. The Soundcore Motion+ is considered to have decent latency for a portable Bluetooth speaker when using the wired connection. I have no idea how good the latency would be with Bluetooth. Even though you're using a MacBook, you could always use a USB audio dongle with it so that you could use a wired connection.

Definitely check out the Motion+ on Amazon. For its size, price, and the fact that it's a portable speaker, it does sound decent compared to other, similarly priced products.

Just a follow up. I ended up buying a Soundcore Motion+ . The first one wouldn't connect to the Soundcore app. After trying to troubleshoot Anker sent me a second one, telling me I could dispose or keep the first one. Thankfully the second one worked. Amazingly I was able to hook them up via Bluetooth. So I now have two Motion+ speakers for my DAWless setup. The sound is actually pretty phenomenal. On it's own one speaker was OK but I was planning on selling the second speaker and buying the bigger Soundcore. But after hearing them playing together I was blown away. It sounds big and expansive but still crisp and detailed. https://preview.redd.it/g1tke6chff4e1.jpeg?width=3810&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=433743c9a7f9c0ee3d7efbc89ac62567f311ca7d

I recently tried a UBoom X, Tribit Lava and a Soundcore Boom 2 as an upgrade to my Soundcore Motion+. They all did worse than the Motion+. Then I thought, I might as well splash out on a Bose Soundlink Max. I tried it, compared it to the Soundcore Motion+ and hey, what do you know, the Motion+ had better clarity, seperation and midrange. The Soundlink Max had more deep bass, but that was it. Moral of the story: we all have different tastes. There are a lot of "bAss GoOd" posters here, who just value a big rumble. Just order a bunch from Amazon, try them, and return the ones you don't like. Also the UboomX is getting heavily shilled here. It looks like ass and doesn't sound as great as certain posters make it out to be.

Because both Tribit and soundcore were not as good as the uboom L, if you want my opinion of it, it’s good. Same level as the soundcore, not as good as the Uboom L *Btw, also no mention of soundcore after I mentioned it at the beginning

I have this. It sounds great but my stereo connection is faulty at times and drops out. I have other stereo pairs that don't have this problem.

In this medium size charge 5 is fine you can't go wrong. There are some options from Anker, tribit. I personally enjoyed a lot motion plus and Bose flex.

Motion plus will leave you wanting more bass as well. I think that motion 300 has the edge, and with a nice eq you will feel pretty nice warm bass. It does distort at higher volumes with more bass heavy music.

My workmate had them it literally sounds like its coming from a can. Motion+' 30w feels more like 40-50watts its way louder and bass goes deeper than jbl flip 6/bose flex.

Yes, looks like the Soundcore Motion+ is what I will go for. My friend has one of them Ortizan speakers from Aliexpress, but it sounds like shit. Definately not 40W like it claims to be.

Sony has warmer sound, also looks and feels better. Especially for older people sony sound better Jbl Flip has a bit more 'power' tho, that you don't need if you are not outside with your friends trying to blast loud music You could also consoder Soundcore Motion+ for this price, but you'd have to tweak a bit in the EQ. If you want a bigger speaker overall, Charge Essential 2 might be an option. All around the price region of the Sony, especially witz black friday coming up

Suitcase size, Soundcore motion + (with eq) Bose Soundlink flex Gen 2 (not so muddy as Gen1, wait for a sale again. It was 40€ off couple days ago e.g. where i live) If you want to stand it upwards (good for small spaces like hotels) sony ult field 1 is a consideration e.g., but sound is slightly worse than the mentioned two Then get real wired speakers for your desk, not bluetooth stuff. The is often a delay with bluetooth, annoying when watching movies. You dont want to take a go and play with you, trust me. Too big and heavy. If you're saying you also need that power outdoors its different. But i heard uboom x apparently is very good. You can get two to pair them.

I purchase the Motion+ several months ago, and it works fine with the Digitakt 2 and other digi boxes (also used it with the Syntakt and Digitone 2). Nice and portable, good battery life and no noticeable latency when using the auxiliary in. The sound is 'okay', but I feel like it was a little hyped up? My expectations may have been a little high -- especially for a small, portable speaker with decent battery. I just upgraded to the Adam D3V for my 'coffee table speakers'. Much pricier, and not as portable (they require 24v\~2.5A, plus cable to run between speakers and weigh 1.8kg per speaker), but they're fantastic when using with the Digitakt 2. When I take the digi boxes out and about with a power bank, I usually just use headphones -- if I wanted to use a speaker, the Motion+ would probably be it.

I picked up another HK Go Play at that price. I assume that 130 was a screw up. Definitely super worth it even at 200. Looking at some of the Soundlink Flexes as Xmas presents. Motion+ on Amazon renewed for 55 is a steal as well. I assume they wouldn't be doing too much to open up a dust and waterproof speaker, so most likely a return. If the Motion 300 drops to around 40 I'd grab one.

Above all, the speaker should have a good, effective EQ in its app. For example, I can set my little Motion+ to any style of music I want, it always sounds good. However, in my opinion, this speaker is best suited for close range, not for a whole room. But as I said, the sound is first class.

>soundcore motion also can reach 40-50Hz. No it doesnt. it rolls of massively starting 65hz. at 60hz, you're already -10 db, which makes itvery muted compared to the rest. Anything under will be almost inexistant to human ears

Hello, the Soundcore Motion is a great value option with excellent sound quality and aptX support, ideal for music production. The X600 and Boom Plus are also solid choices for immersive sound. Higher wattage (W) means louder volume, while higher kHz improves sound detail, but balance matters for overall quality
