OB-4

I have both. OB-4 only at home and 2 Minirig 4 for travel.

100%. The thing is loud, sounds good, good battery, looks cool, no latency, very portable, dedicated backpack, has some cool and fun features.

If I had to keep one, it would be my minirig by a mile. OB-4 sounds nice, but the shape/design of it is at odds with its use case.. exposed speaker with no grill, protruding handle, and delicate knob means I can't throw it in my backpack. Unnecessarily tall and easily topples over, and even when you use the stand/handle thing and put it on its side, it still feels awkward to use the buttons and doesn't feel very sturdy. I'm paranoid about this thing being damaged because it feels like it was designed as a flower to be looked at, not a tool with a job. Minirigs are absolute tanks. Take it to the shower, chuck it in a bag/backpack, very sturdy on a desk. Don't let anyone fool you, the sound quality is at least as good as the OB-4, and it has more I/O than the OB-4 if you want a companion for other portable music gear. The app sucks, that's my only complaint. Coolest part of the OB-4 for me was the radio connecting to my OP-1, but you have to be (literally) 6 inches away from the thing for it to be usable, so I'd rather use a cable.. like I can with a minirig.. and if I have an OP-1 and minirig together, the looper and radio functions don't give me anything I don't already have.

I have had a lot of bluetooth speakers over the years. The OB-4 is great, its portability is more for bringing it around the house, though I've had it for two and a half years now, and traveled with it a decent amount. But it is, for real, my favorite TE device I own

Oh yeah we had our first visit there and had a blast. Congress st was a ton of fun. So much damn good food. First time having smoked cinnamon rolls. They smoke friggin everything there it’s heavenly. Brane X shop was dope. Got to blast the Brane X with my fav tunes and they give you a voucher when demoing. Was actually gonna order the Brane X, but came across a killer clearance in Cali on a couple TE OB-4s so I ended up getting a pair of those for nearly 50% off. Also killer bass. Ended up being happy with those so I never got the Brane x.

I have both. Get the OB4 over Minirig. Minirig is only better for me for travel bc of the size and battery and toughness. If you’re using at home OB4 100%

Love mine and having used the minirig, I prefer the OB-4 generally. But of course you can’t really compare them on size….

Minirig 4 is waaaaaay louder than ob-4
