Hey everyone 👋 I’m planning to buy the Xiaomi Outdoor Speaker 30W and wanted some honest user reviews. Right now, I own a Tribit MaxSound Plus 2, and I love its bass punch and balanced clarity for the size. If you’ve used the Xiaomi 30W, I want to know: How is the bass compared to Tribit MaxSound Plus 2? Does it have clean mids & highs or is it muddy? How loud is it in outdoor environments (park, rooftop, camping)? Any issues with distortion at max volume? Battery backup in realistic usage? Does it work well with bass-heavy songs and EDM? Also curious: Is it worth upgrading from the Tribit MaxSound Plus 2, or is it just a side-grade? Thanks! Any feedback or mini-reviews help 🙌

The wonderboom 4 is pretty good. Doesn't have a lot of bass, but it's pretty flat otherwise. The studio 8 gets kind of low, but might be too big. The Sony field 7 gets more bass that the little wonderboom. I like my tribit maxsound plus 2. It has more bass, but it's also not great bass. But it is kind of small.

Tribit Xsound Plus 2. I have the Tribit Maxsound Plus since 2023 and it's still rocking good but won't recommend u to go for Maxsound Plus cos it's an old model and the new updated model is Xsound Plus 2. I have Tribit Stormbox Lava too. Tribit is really nice. Chota packet bada dhamaka.

Can relate, and yes I do this as well. My setup is: lap desk, battery that supports 12V USB-C PD, Birdcord 12V USB-C PD or MyVolts USB-C PD Step Up adapter (I have both, they work equally well), and headphones or speaker. The portable speaker I use is the Tribit MaxSound Plus, it's quite excellent for its size. I also have the analog cases that u/arcticrobot pictured, works great for travel but doesn't really help you with a lap setup on its own. I've tried bluetooth speakers, and I can't recommend them, the lag is too significant and annoying. You want something hardwired, such as the Tribit I mentioned.

If you want a better portable speaker, check out the Tribit MaxSound Plus. It's got about as flat of a response as you can get at this speaker size. Good little unit.

I have Maxsound plus and Stormbox 2, been many years and they are still rocking. Haven't used pro and lava personally, so cant really pin point one. Bottom line what I feel is - if you like to have 360 degree multichannel quality sound go for pro. Else if you want partybox type loud music, lava make more sense. Though definitely recommend to watch some YT reviews.
