Tribit - XSound Plus 2

I got this speaker and found it to be the only small size speaker with the same type of deep bass as the HK Onyx Studio. Obviously, it doesn't have the same epic sound as the Onyx as it's small, but it has the same type of defined deep bass.

Haven't burned it in yet. Impressive though, as I haven't heard that kind of bass from other speakers that size.

I have the tribit one, its bang for buck speakers. First got the GO and then the Plus 2 and now even got the lava.

The plus 2 has better volume obviously, but I kind of feel like GO is more crisp.

Under 9k best buy is Tribit stormbox lava, under 5k it’s Tribit x sound plus 2

Even. A hundred small speakers can’t simulate the bass and fullness of a big speaker..

I've tested both speakers with flat eq and also by increasing bass with custom eq. In both cases, earfun UBL wins as it sounds more fuller due to its size when compared to Tribit Xsound Plus 2. I got it for free on amazon, can u help me out with the eq settings. I enjoy it out of the box but would love ot if the sound can be made clearer with bass more punchy

Tribit X sound 2, if you want to save some bucks and get similar quality + more functions (App support with plenty of options to play with, fully customisable EQ etc.)

Thanks for the rec, and for seemingly reading through that rant of a post! That was my 2nd choice, kicking myself a bit now. It does look like a more natural successor to my Soundcore 2. I drove that thing until the wheels fell off (battery pooped)

Around 50% the plus2 tends to distort with almost any equalization, I worked on it quite a bit without obtaining satisfactory results, that's why in the end I sold it and kept Uboom L

The xsound plus is a decent speaker, imo better than the 2, but the Soundcore Motion+ outshines it and so do some other models.

Micro(2), Blast(2) and Lava are great. XSound Plus (2) and Stormbox(2) alright, but there are better speakers in that size imo. Stormbox Mini(2) just blows.

Second this, hidden gem and one of the longest battery life on a speaker that size. Could also go with Soundcore and the Motion 300 but Tribit X Sound 2 is 24H while Soundcore is 13H

I collect small bluetooth speakers. Over the years i keep trying new brands. I'm impressed with the Tribit XSound Plus 2 and even better for its great low price and 24H battery which there isn't many with that high battery. Clean sound and bass and the bass boost really thumps. It also has aux which is why I was looking around for a smaller speaker with aux because there isn't many besides the UBoom L which i also have but I also have a bunch of Soundcore like the Mini 3 and Motion 300 but theres no aux. I'm also looking to add the Tribit StormBox 2 which is another small speaker from them and it also has aux but it looks more durable and for travel and outdoor. From other brands those more durable and outdoor ones are made for travel and party uses are more bass focused and not as clean audio so have to compare but right now XSound Plus 2 I'm impressed.

I bought Tribit xsound plus 2. It's really good, has aux input, Custom EQ and many other features. Would definitely recommend it

Yo i own the tribit plus 2. Highs are a bit much, there's no deep bass. I made few eq tweaks you can check on tribit sub. It's a decent speaker. Very enjoyable if you use it indoors. I bought it for 3600/- on Amazon sale.

I sometimes connect it to tv and use it for watching movies. It's great 👍. The vocals sound really good. The only thing I did not like was the high end especially when listening to old songs of MJ. But it has a 9band eq and i sorted it out to my needs

Tribit XSound Plus 2. Good bass, small enough, splash proof, budget friendly, just wish it's slightly louder. You can pair it with a second one of itself though to make them louder.

It's one of the best speakers I have had till date. It's not loud like other 30w speakers but the sound is so pleasant. It never gets tiring, I can listen to it for hours at stretch.

Plus 2 has better bass for sure.

I would bring it to my old job and co workers would be impressed on the sound it had playing in a grocery store before we opened. But I dropped it in there and it doesn't sound the same now.

Earfun Uboom L is $50 on Amazon. JBL Flip 6 is popular and I see them on E-Bay for $50 The Tribit Xsound Plus 2 is a good speaker in this size/weight category, only speaker I can think of that beats it is the Bose soundlink flex 2. Motion 100 is not comparable to the UBoomL . I have both and the Motion is great but it's a much smaller less powerful speaker so unless you want it for portability I would get the UboomL or the two Tribit speakers which are also very good .

I have two Tribit Stormboxs GEN2. I love the sound of those speakers, but you need two of them. Mine are about four years old and I still use them for travel and around the house. Recently replaced for outdoor with two Soundcore Boom V2s which have a much different sound profile even with the customizable EQ. The Stormbox’s are such a cleaner sound. I wouldn’t hesitate to give two xSound Plus2s a run.

Just got my Xsound Plus 2 today and out of the box, the default preset EQs were very much a let down. Then, I set all the EQs to +5 as OP has suggested in a lot of comments and BAAAAM. Man, it shines now. The preset EQs almost mask the true potential of the speaker. I've been listening to it for 5-6 hours now any I'm pretty happy with it :)

Go with the Tribit XSound+ 2 for the stereo sound and clearer audio profile. The dual drivers and EQ control will give you much better sound customization than the gimmicky Glow hope it goes well for you

I own the tribit xsound plus 2. Had to do some tweaks on the EQ (easily available on Reddit), sounds like a quality home theatre. Good highs and lows with an amazing base. Must check out!

Bass is just excellent but if you compare with jbl sound quality is not so good but according to price worth buying if you are bass lover just go for it.

I have both speakers. Yes the tribit has better bass. The earfun gets slightly louder and the mids and highs are slightly more airy. I prefer the tribit over the earfun. People on this sub push down these earfun speakers. It was one of the reasons i bought the uboom L.

For rock I prefer the uboom L as it's got a very spacey, airy sound. The tribit is amazing too, it's just a matter of preference. I'd still go with the tribit over the uboom for an all round speaker. The uboom sounds bad playing electronic music. Or I don't like the sound, at least.

Tribit makes good speakers, I have the xsound 2 before that I had strombox mini. So if portability is a priority go for these. If you want great music need to up the budget. If you want bass and are willing to sacrifice portability look for a 2.1 setup.

I consider my tribit x sound plus 2 to be quite smol. Best bass and best bang for buck speaker in today’s time according to me.

Yes and it should easily fit your budget. According to me it is the best sounding speaker under 100$ and it’s got app support which translates to equaliser,firmware updates,sound on off options, speaker auto off function. And aux capability,Bluetooth 5.3. Basically you get this and you’re set for a decade lol.

I’ve used it with aux a fee times so there’s obviously no latency with that. But 90% of the time I use it with Bluetooth and never faced any latency while watching movies or series with these connected to tv via Bluetooth.

Tribit x sound plus 2 checks all the boxes and then some. Portable AF, its smol. Durability: it’s one of the only speakers in that size that doesn’t have exposed bass radiators like jbl,sony,uboom,etc. it is water proof for handling a splash. Also the best part is you can make it sound like any other brand’s sound signature that you prefer via the EQ option in its app. I use mine with aux mostly and sometimes via Bluetooth. It sounds equally good via both connections tho. It sounds like a proper hifi system is being played if you hide the speaker and ask someone lol. If you’re budget isn’t limited then you can also buy two to play in tandem, I am contemplating to do the same, just waiting for a sale/discount to buy a second one. The only problem is that it needs at least 40-50 hours of music playback initially to burn in and drivers to open up and sound as good as they now, also manual EQ sounds best, preset EQs provided in app sound pretty quite.

I have only heard motion 300 on youtube speaker comparison videos. I personally own two tribit x sound plus 2 speakers (yes I loved one of thos so much in terms of sound quality that I bought one more) so I can vouch for x sound plus 2 and I have suggested it to numerous people on this sub and they all loved it ! Also if you do end up buying it, let me know, I’ll share the best 3 equalisers (1-bass up, 2-balanced and 3-dialogue) for that particular speaker. Cheers !

All I know is that tribit x sound plus 2 sounds very quite and flat out of the box and also with preset equalisers provided by tribit. It’s sounds amazing in terms of bass and volume only post using custom eq. I’m not sure maxsound plus has an option to set a custom eq and all the other benefits like firmware updates, being able to set a timer to switch the speaker off or switch it off via the app or option to let the speaker stay on or auto off when nothing’s playing etc etc. basically all the features that come via tribit app connectivity, most importantly sound enhancement because I’m sure I can tune my x sound plus 2 to sound better than max sound plus any day via custom eq.

Tribit doesn’t sell directly where I’m at. I got it from amazon and loved the speaker later on so much that I got one more lol.

I’d recommend tribit x sound plus 2. This speaker will set you for at least a decade, while sounding phenomenal and saving some bucks too. It’s got a stereo sound and deep bass in a very small package,app support from which you can update firmware, set equaliser, toggle switch on switch off sounds, set timer for auto switch off, etc. or you can simply place it on a desk and play music via aux cable like I do. In future if you wish you can get one more to play music in tandem (that’s what I’m contemplating to do lol). The fact that you can make this speaker sound like bose,jbl,Marshall via eq, its that versatile.

Tribit x sound plus 2 sounds great at half the price of your budget.

If you can try a tribit x sound plus 2, it will resolve most of these issues. Source : I have it and switched off the “tones” altogether. The buttons on top are a little more prominent and EQ button even has 3 light colors to differentiate between which eq you’re using. Battery at zero, speaker will play music as soon as it’s plugged in. The sound is good from all directions even though it is a directional speaker. Aux cable doesn’t need to be removed for Bluetooth music playback. Back flap for ports is the easiest operable I’ve used yet (on sony and UE speakers it almost broke my nails & patience). Lastly firmware updates happen via tribit app not a laptop/cable etc. also EQ manoeuvring can get it to sound like Bose, JBL, Marshall or however you want !

Tribit X sound plus 2. Smol,loud,good sound quality and bass (need to initially set an eq). Worth way more than what it costs. App support for eq and firmware updates. Stereo sound. No exposed bass radiators.

Can vouch for tribit x sound plus 2 in terms of great sound quality and a very useful feature rich app experience in terms of equaliser, configuration of on and iff sounds and other sounds like connecting disconnecting, setting a sleep timer for auto shut off, option to keep speaker always on, firmware updates and much more !

The speaker I ever thought were worthy enough to get one more of is tribit x sound plus 2 and as soon as I switch on the second one they both pair up on their own and the song seamlessly starts playing from one speaker to two of them without any lag or difference between the two. Also I regularly use them as left and right channels while watching tv and there’s no latency between the lips of the actor saying the dialogue and the sound hitting my ears if that makes sense.

I have seen in reviews that stormbox flow is a bass heavy speaker and it is mono. You should look into tribit x sound plus 2. I have shared 3 EQs I have assigned to the hardware EQ button on the speaker for different scenarios. Oh I forgot about lava lol. But if I would have the option to buy one lava or a pair of x sound plus 2 Id still go for two x sound plus 2 since two of these playing together sound wider and fuller than lava alone would.

I already have the wonderboom 2 and I used to think highly of it until I heard a cheaper speaker sounding 10x better with better features,app support and double battery life. Got two of those and now I don’t need anything for at least a decade I guess. Btw the speaker I’m talking about it tribit x sound plus 2. Initially I was hesitant about sound on a Chinese brand after using once from ultimate ears but boy was I surprised that a brand could give you such deep bass and hifi speaker system like sound at 50$ in such a smol form factor.

Yeah I’ve kept the wonderboom for travelling so that I can keep my x sound plus 2 pair of speakers at home safe and sound as bookshelf speakers, cheers !

Im often supported and sometimes bashed for expressing my love for a pair of tribit x sound plus 2 speakers that I have. Tribit indeed is on par if not better than premium brands in terms of build quality and sound quality alike while being most bang for buck !

If you like bose sound link flex’s sound signature then you’ll like x sound plus 2 with my equaliser. Also it costs 1/4th of flex.

Most reviews I had gone through about Uboom L mentioned the bass is hollow or only upper bass is there and low end is lacking. That was the only point which drove me away from buying it. Tribit x sound plus 2 has nice deeb bass only if you EQ it that way. Out of the box it doesnt.

I would recommend the tribit xsound as well. I got it for my parents. I was really impressed by the sound. It doesn’t get very pound but for personal listening it’s good. It would seem to have good highs. I use Bose micro, it’s not as good as the Bose, but still good for its price point. The build also is good and classy.

I have the Tribit XSound. Bought in 2018 and it’s still fantastic— sound wise and battery wise. It’s lived on my front porch and now is ugly with water stains and potential mold, idk honestly. So I’m considering retiring it and getting another one. Currently $33 on Amazon. Great price for over 7 yrs of listening. Can anyone tell me how the XSound Plus2 compares? The current is a 16W & an oddly impressive little speaker. Most guests are impressed with its sound, considering its ancient. Functions great for family gatherings and porch dance parties for my Littles who like louder music. The Plus 2 is almost twice as expensive ($60) and is listed as 30W. Looks to be the same physical housing unit— essentially Is it really that much more of a better BT speaker? Thanks gang.

Oh.. I saw it for around 6.8k during sale. It can come to that price again. The non wifi version. Other than that, I have heard tribit xsound in person and can vouch for it's quality but it's not very loud.

JBL GO 3 best in sound, meh in battery backup.. Bought for 2299 in Amazon Sale, Tribit X Sound also an good one if you need long battery life..
