It shouldn’t be a problem as long as the speaker isn’t dropped or something doesn’t impact the passive radiators. It is a solid option if we are talking about the best speaker for the buck. The only similarly priced or cheaper model with a comparable size that I know is the Tronsmart Mirtune S100. I own the Mirtune S100, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it now that the Sound Party exists, especially if sound quality is the main priority, because the Sound Party sounds more high fidelity overall (the S100 could still sound decent, with the customEQ tho). Just note that the Xiaomi doesn’t seem to come with an app for customizing sound or features. Others probably ULT Field 3 and LG XBOOM Bounce but again due to the value perspective the Xiaomi Sound Party is leading (and seems as per some reviews the said other two speakers are prone to distortion than the Sound Party).
From what I’ve heard, the UBOOM X is already discontinued, so finding one now is really difficult. It’s similar to the situation with the Tribit Blast 1, which I was planning to recommend alongside the UBOOM X. But the Blast 1 is extremely heavy, and since it doesn’t have shoulder straps, I didn’t recommend it if portability is a priority. Mine basically just collects dust at home because it only gets used in one spot and never gets moved, alongside my W-King X20. Right now, I’m using the Tronsmart Bang 2 as my medium-sized speaker. It’s fairly light for its size, has good battery capacity, and I chose it because it’s half the price of the Tribit Lava and about a quarter of the price of the JBL Xtreme 4 (not even the 5) from where I live. But in terms of sound quality, I would personally recommend the Tribit Lava, W-King X10, or Soundcore Boom 2. These speakers compete with the similarly sized JBL Xtreme 5 at a lower price and without being as large or heavy as the UBOOM X or Tribit Blast. For charge sized speakers, the Xiaomi Sound Party is a solid option. The only similarly priced or cheaper model with a comparable size that I know is the Tronsmart Mirtune S100. I'd check out the tronsmart mirtune s100 it can easily fit into a backpack and has about as deep and good of bass as you can get out of a speaker this size
Tronsmart app also has a feature to auto shutdown and you can also toggle on/off the voice prompt (on/off tune and volume )
