Of the major portable speakers out there, I have found the UE Boom series to sound the best sound quality. And sonos makes a pretty good one too. Is that what you are looking for, or do you want actual speakers? How about a used set of small pwered speakers like Audioengine A2's set up in the bathroom? I don't think anything battery powered will have a high enough quality playback to where bluetooth vs. wired will make a noticeable difference...
I see...some do have AUX inputs, but you may need to find an older model....which would be cheaper anyways. I remember the original UE Boom and Megaboom had AUX inputs. I bet there's one on FB Market.... The Sonos Roam still has aux input, but not sure if your budget fits that. My friend has the first generation. Sounds great, but bass heavy like all other sonos speakers. Just thought of something...I have an old Riva Turbo X I was going to have recycled. The bluetooth is too old to be useful and the battery only lasts an hour or two. But it sounds good and has AUX input. You can just have it, if you cover shipping cost...DM me if interested

Hello, I'm searching for an outdoor speaker for my winter job. I work in a ski resort, so it needs to be waterproof because of the regular snow, has to have something around 6\~7 hours-ish battery life at a rather loud volume (the machines being rather loud, the speaker needs to be like 70%+ volume). I can't have anything too big since it has to fit into a backpack already filled with my other necessities for my job (boombox are too big for example). I don't have any specific price range in mind, but I guess I can put up to 250$ for it, maybe a little more. I had UE boom in the past (the 1 and then the 3), I was satisfied with their battery life but they ended up having a lot of sound distortion on high volume after a while, that's why I'm asking for recommandations before getting anything.
Other compact portables to consider are the soundcore motion boom 2 , Earfun UboomL (and JBL Flip). I had an original UE boom years ago but found other speakers that just sounded better & cost less from Soundcore,Tribit and Earfun.
This exact one. Everyone just avoid the Walmart SE one. I was there and saw this one and thought it was the updated one. I got the first Boom many many years ago and loved it. It's clearer and sounds a bit better. My friend has the actual Boom 2 and is even better. Not that the SE is terrible. I still really like it. Just wish I would've known it wasn't the actual Boom 2.
Second hand ue ultraboom, great option. But if you want something portable try jbl , those guys are easy repairable.
I have had a UE boom for 10 years now and I still use it all the time. Love it
