"I bought a UE mega boom about 7ish years ago and it’s seen some things. ... Used at almost full volume every day in a body shop 5 days a week for 2 of those years. ... Been left out in the rain, dropped, dust covered. Still going strong."
"I've literally thrown it down 2 floors and it survived"
"Yes it's a tank and it's basically waterproof."

"Fully recommend the Megaboom, it packs a surprising amount of punch for a small speaker."
"UE megaboom is smaller, still great bass for the size."

"Had the Megaboom for years, excellent pick, but still a bit heavy for holiday."
UE megaboom is pretty rugged, and the clip is a tripod screw with a loop Mine has been in the ocean and under streams with no problems I haven’t looked up if the interface changed to USB-C
I have 4 Megabooms, I played thru out my house, when they were new, now 10 years later, they will still connect to each other, but with crackling or static. I’ve updated the Software/Firmware so it’s not that. Sadly these BT Speakers have let me down.
I had the original megaboom. It’s lasted me 9 years and finally died this past summer. It was great, battery lasted 15 -20 hours even in the later years. Speaker has floated down rivers, dropped, rolled down mountains, left outside in sub zero temps. I can’t speak on their new stuff but their original megaboom is a tank.
Ultimate Ears megaboom rocks. Have and one for nearly 10 years and still punches bass and had great battery and water proofing.
I can't comment on the Hyperboom as I've never heard one. However, I have heard various generations of the Boom and Megaboom and I can tell you that these definitely don't sound good at all.

I have a UE mega boom. I recommend.

My first setup looked exactly like this, except I had a UE Megaboom connected via rca-headphone jack cable. Worked great until I got monitor speakers.
My UE Megaboom is from 2015, just replaced the battery last year. Turns on remotely, is still completely waterproof, pairs easily with my hyper boom. It is a literal tank.
I have a UE megaboom which has been knocking around for around 10 years and the battery still rocks. At some stage it started failing and I looked up a Reddit post which said to stick it in the freezer overnight and reset it. This was 4 years ago and it's still going strong.
