i love the wonderboom for its light compact just no nonsense design its my everyday carry. i have a tribit stormbox pro and a soundcore motion boom plus that just blows my old jbl charge 5 and the xtreme 3 out of the water. im sure the x sound plus 2 sounds better i just love the wonderboom form factor it works for me.

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • i thought the wonderboom 4 would be good upgrade to the wonderboom 2 but all it got was a usb port and a different tune. save your money and get the wonderboom 2 over the 3 and 4. ->

I dangle my Wonderboom 2 with a carabiner from my backpack while riding on my onewheel, and it ALWAYS sounds amazing. Granted I’m not in audiophile mode while floating around, but it sounds great all around and the 360º sounds makes it nice to alert other people I may be coming since I don’t have handlebars for a bell…Also the external controls make it easy to turn on/off, Volume up or down which is essential, and reach the “outdoors” Button without ever looking at it. The JBL Flips are nice but i worry about how they would hold up if I wipe out. Also the buttons might be confusing reaching back behind me. I did see something by JBL with a little “Unbreakable Loop” on it but from my reviews, didn’t seem to sound as good as the wonderboom. Just my 2 cents…

I agree that the Wonderboom is a great small speaker. I use one mostly indoors, and it is great for the kitchen, home office ect. Its softball size is great so it does not take up much room at all. I never have connection issues with WB2. It does seem the Bose Flex 2 is still the best sounding personal speaker. The Soundcore Motion 300 or Soundcore Glow are both really nice values. I saw that the JBL flip 6 is still on sale at Best Buy usa and a few more places.

I like the Wonderboom as a good sounding speaker the size of a softball. Tribit micro or Soundcore Glow Mini are good too.

I just like the size. It makes it easy to pack and move around. It was better than smallest Sony when I got mine, but there are more choices now.

I have enjoyed the Wonderboom. I like the small footprint and 360 sound actually works well. JBL Flip 6 is good. It likely has a little bit better sound quality than Wonderboom (wonderboom sounds quite good, but I think JBL adds a bit more bass). Soundcore Motion 300 is good too. It is modeled after the Bose Flex. It does sound really good.

I have liked the Wonderboom 2 that I have used. It sounds like version 4 has a bit more bass, and it sounds better if you play it at 75 percent of max volume. I did hear in person Sony Ult 1 and Soundcore Glow; both sound very good. The reviews of the Soundcore Motion 300 seem really good; I just have not heard that in person, but I know [Cnet.com](http://Cnet.com) put in their top 5 of best small personal bluetooth speakers.

I think for best sound quality the Bose Flex and the JBL Flip 6 both sound really good. The Sony Ult 1 also sounds really good that is easy to pickup for 99 at Walmart USA. (Costco USA has the Bose for 99). Both the Soundcore Glow and Motion 300 are both really good. The 300 rips off the Bose design, but it has all of its best options of the Bose like it knows when it flat or on the edge and adjust the speakers based upon this. I have the Wonderboom 2. The newer 4 has improved base. I do like its 360 sound design and its small footprint that makes it easy to carry around.

I have liked the Wonderboom that I bought during Covid. I like its softball size. It is super easy carry or put on a small desk while working The Bose Flex is a great sounding small speaker. I did get a chance to hear recently both the JBL Flip 6 and Sony Ult 1 they both sounded really good . The Soundcore Motion 300 and Glow both sound quite good. The Glow has a 360 sound design similar to the the ue Wonderboom or boom 4. (edited to fix grammar).

I would agree that Bose Soundlink Flex 2 has the best sound quality in a small personal size. The Wonderboom is a great device. I still use WB2. It has great sound for the size and 360 sound claim is legitimate. Wonderboom 4 improved the bass over the 2. It is super easy to carry around with its softball size. Soundcore has so many speakers it is confusing. I would pick Motion 300 as best personal sized speaker. It borrowed many of the Bose Flex features such as sensing if it is laying flat or on its edge and adjusting speaker output. The Glow Mini or regular mini are good too.

I saw the Bose Flex at Costco this weekend. It is actually flatter than I thought it would be. So, it is quite easy. I like the Wonderboom 2 that I got 2 years ago. It looks like a U.S. softball. So, it is easy to put in the top of a backpack or one of these zipper top loading duffels. Soundcore Motion 300 looks very similar to Bose Flex. So, it should be good too. I just have not seen that in person.

I really have liked the UE Wonderboom 2 that I bought during Covid. The new Wonderboom 4 is $80 currently. I did really like the sound quality of the Soundcore Glow. So, I would think the Soundcore Glow Mini or mini would be good.

Most are waterproof. If you wanted a smaller size for a home office or kitchen, I would look at Bose Flex, JBL Flip 6, Soundcore Glow/Soundcore Motion 300, Sony Ult 1. I have liked the Wonderboom by UE. I like its size that is similar to a softball. It has nice sound for its size.

The Bose Flex is quite nice. The audio editor for Cnet.com rated it as the best sounding personal speaker. The Marshall Emberton III is good too. I have the Wonderboom that I have enjoyed because of small footprint. I use it often for podcasts. New 1 has a specific podcast mode. It does a great job on midrange, and the new W4 has improved bass. Bass is not as good as a bigger speaker. My family likes it for classical music and xmas music . I use earbuds for classic rock that my family doesn't love.

The Bose Flex is nice. Good tuning. 2 is ideal. I like some of the smaller UE models. I like my Wonderboom 2. The 4 has improved bass. The Boom 4 is a nice model too. The Marshall Emberton is nice too. I have been told it is not boosted either.

The Soundcore mini or Tribit Micro are good. They do run off the battery, but my main usuage of a Wonderboom is podcasts in the bathroom while showering or on a home office desk. Most of these speakers get 12 hours of use. So, I just recharge my speaker once a week for roughly an hour.

I have a Bose Flex 2 and a UE Wonderboom2. The Bose has much better sound including good bass for it's size and good clarity throughout the frequency range. The UE has very little bass but gets a little louder and was less expensive. Overall, I prefer the Bose.

I already have the wonderboom 2 and I used to think highly of it until I heard a cheaper speaker sounding 10x better with better features, app support and double battery life. Got two of those and now I don’t need anything for at least a decade I guess. Btw the speaker I’m talking about it tribit x sound plus 2. Initially I was hesitant about sound on a Chinese brand after using once from ultimate ears but boy was I surprised that a brand could give you such deep bass and hifi speaker system like sound at 50$ in such a smol form factor.

Yeah I’ve kept the wonderboom for travelling so that I can keep my x sound plus 2 pair of speakers at home safe and sound as bookshelf speakers, cheers !

I have both the UE Megaboom and Wonderboom and they are both tough little bastards. They don't have audiophile quality sound, but I use them in the shower, kitchen, garage and yard work. They get wet and I've dropped them countless times.

Wonderboom is a classic. Get battery and great surround sound for it's size. For a picnic table outside it does a satisfying job. It's the #1 rated BT speaker by the NY Times. Of course there's bigger and better, but one has to remember that BT portable speakers are supposed to be portable and scratch that itch adequately. A heavy JBL BB3 really really stretched the red line of what's portable. Full stop, BT speakers will NEVER replace a good home sound system. Plus the batteries will brick the device in a few years when it loses its charge....So really, spending large amounts is futile for something that should be considered a disposable razor. And if you're really willing to spend more than $150, you better really use it more than twice a week otherwise you're losing money on that ticking time bomb of a battery which is permanently draining its strength month by month...unless it's a portabke plug in, which is the ultimate recommendation.

I use it on a construction site clipped on to my tool belt so it’s pretty much perfect if not a little awkwardly shaped which is my only gripe. If I need something that I can leave stationary to cover a larger area I bought a Stormbox blast, and that lasts me an 8hr work day easily and is just loud enough for most jobs.

For the small portable my affections are always with Bose. Some of my favorite speakers for sound stage, portability, and loud reaching well made BT speakers in super portable, easy to handle packages. I have three of their BT speakers and they really perform. As I get less portable, I stumbled into one not on your list — Logitech’s Ultimate Ears brand — which has some smaller BT speakers as well. They’re really well made and they double down on putting resources into the simple features I care about most (sync, app, weatherproofing etc).
