Hi everyone, I currently have a wonderboom first gen that is awesome and still functioning fine. Mainly used as the indoor mini speaker and shower speaker. I also have a first gen megaboom that is somewhat broken (half of it works the bottom half has no sound or bass, and the battery life is dead) I’m searching for a new outdoor speaker and I’ve come across 2 options. Megaboom 4 or Everboom. I’m open to other brands other than Ultimate Ears, but not entirely sold on JBL or Bose yet since I love the durability of the UE, and since I have some friends with JBL’s and they say the wonderboom sounds better. Any input? Thanks in advance 🙏
Ultimate Ears makes rugged speakers. I've had mine fall around a bit though never from a bike. I am not sure if any other company makes speakers that rugged. Tribit Stormbox Lava floats on water but it's huge for a bike. A UE Wonderboom or Wonderboom 2 might be better I think? Check them and the other speakers out. They're also mud resistant, have some shock resistance and float. The Wonderboom also has this lovely ring so you can hang it. Maybe they're just what you're looking for.
I use Wonderboom. If the surgeon also has one then we link ours up and play music in stereo lol. Also take it paddleboarding and other outdoor stuff. I've added a clip so it goes on the IV pole prn
Bought wonderbooms 2 pack from costco like 10 years ago for my kids for like $40 and they still work/sound well and hold good charge, even after falling in the pool many times. They still use them!
Best product ive ever had. Had multiple, never died until a week ago after 10 years
It looks like they copied the appearance from the "Ultimate Ears wonderboom" that sells for about 80 bucks and is a great little durable speaker to travel with or take to the beach with great sound. I take one wherever I go and it's awesome. The real thing gives about 14 hours on a charge and uses a micro USB. If that thing there for 8 bucks is even close to the quality I'd get one in a heart beat. It looks almost the same. https://preview.redd.it/o6cydu2st8mg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ad281576d24292e14cd3daa6b58bfc1d6ab6ef3
I’m a big fan of UE, my wonderboom has been through hell, lost in the snow till spring, floated a good chunk of a river without me, fell off a truck onto concrete, and daily showers for several years. The only thing is that the bungee strap is kinda broken but it still holds up
I have both the Bose Bluetooth speaker and the smaller Ultimate Ears Wonderboom. The Bose sound is the best but the Wonderboom is excellent for the price.
