I don't think the speakers you have in mind are powerful enough for your application. I would at least choose a speaker from the boombox class, such as the W-King X20, the Tribit StormBox Blast 1 or 2, or, if you can still get it, an EarFun UBOOM X, which offers the best value for money. The Soundcore Boom 2 Plus/Pro is quite light, but I deliberately put it at the bottom of my list.
The W-King X-20 might be of interest to you. It offers a higher maximum volume, but is significantly heavier than the UBOOM X (7 kg compared to 4.15 kg). If I were you, I would try the UBOOM X. Its performance should be sufficient for the interior of a car, and its audio quality is superb. This thing is really fun. And if that's not enough, a second speaker would be a good way to increase the output, while also giving you a stereo setup with room-filling sound and a wide soundstage. I would say that a party speaker is excessive for use in a car. It's blocking the entire back seat. But you have to decide that for yourself. I would consider the ONN party speaker to be on a similar level to the W-King T9 Pro.
The X-20 weighs 7 kg, making it almost 70% heavier than the UBOOM X, which weighs 4.15 kg. Its dimensions are also significantly larger. Whether the slightly higher maximum volume of the X-20 is worth it is up to everyone to decide for themselves. For me, it's not. I often use two speakers for stereo sound outdoors. Transporting both of my UBOOM Xs is already a sufficient hassle. I didn't want to add even a slightest bit more.
I own the x20 also and can tell ya right now .. in my opinion anyways... that it absolutely wipes the floor with the soundcore boom 2 pro.... I haven't owned the plus version but I bought the boom 2 pro at Walmart few weeks ago for 197.99 and just not at all impressive to my ears. But those style a speakers are on a different playing field than this boom 2
I know i love the x20 ... i also just returned a zealot s89 cuz it had multiple defects so can't comment on that speaker but the wking with the app and super fast charging it's a beast and it does not distort or lose its bass at high volume .... can't rec that speaker enough in my opinion
Here's the thing . You could get the og tribit blast for anywhere from 140 to 170 and smoke this and everything else .... or spend tad more or wait for a killer sale and get the wking x20 which smokes literally everything including the hb3 ... oh did he say x20 better than bb3 ?? F yes I did and the thing charges with type c up to 60 watts so ya can charge it on the go.. . Crazy how the x20 is still kickin ass over almost everything and its been out for lil over a year
I have just got one, at the moment I'm not that impressed with the bass or overall sound quality, what EQ settings are you using, I've heard so many good things about the X20 hence the purchase.
Thank you, I have updated the firmware and tried the standard EQ's and made some custom too. I've got a earfun uboom x, this has much more bass, I've purchased the custom EQ's online, I know it's more hassle, but it sounds really good. I expected so much more from the X20.....I will persist, on paper, the X20 should be better, unfortunately it's not there yet.
I bought a Wking X20 for about $250 half of JBL Boombox 3 and sounds just as good to any except perhaps a true audiophile - which my sound engineer buddy is and he said it sounds great! So now I’m looking at replacing my 2 JBL Charge 5’s with two Wking X10’s. Saw a Youtube sound comparison and IMHO x10 blows the Charge 5 away. There is no way in hell I am paying JBL premium price for the Charge 6 my 5’s are not even a year old - gifting them to my son
I have a BMW z3 I use a wking x20 in it. Got it from them on temu for like 180. Sounds amazing for a Bluetooth speaker
i use a wking x20 i got off temu from wking directly for like 180. beats in my z3
after some extensive research went with W-KING X20, which I got on Temu from the official brand store (after coupons it was like $160, currently on amazon for about $220 with a 40% off coupon). what eventually convinced me after going back and forth on all suggestions was price and this video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNZ6SPZ7tI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNZ6SPZ7tI) and it was on the list of suggested speakers for loudness, plus has tws so could eventually get another one :)
W king x20 has good bass and is very loud
Check out W king. Good quality on a budget: not the best but it’s damn good. Just picked up the D9 and it’s 60w. Gets pretty loud and sounds good all around. The X20 is the knock off of the JBL boombox. Has good reviews.
I got one and returned it. I did not like the mids on it and the bass was too sloppy. The w-king x20 sounds way better to me. Has more mids than the JBL's and enough bass that sounds clean as heck! It still surprises me as I listen to more and more songs I know well on it.
No. Yours has a sub my man :) It's the better config for sound quality. This thing is just over driven mids. It might go a little lower but with way more distortion.
it does get beat by my w-king x20 tho. It's just a more powerful version of that bb3. It's an incredible thing with huge midrange, not just bass. Sounds great for classic rock
No. A w-king x20 will beat this in sound quality. This thing sounds like muddy subwoofer to me. Over driven drivers. This is expensive for a badge and sounds worse.
Still got mine too. It does indeed sound really good but my w-king x20 dethroned it. Sounds better in every way and not as heavy and way better batt life, louder and more clear as well, but the aiwa will always be used somewhere as well. This thing is quiet as a mouse compared too. the w-king is probably more than twice as loud and has 4x more bass outdoors especially that this old ported guy.. Way more efficient. The w-king also has way better mids. like infinitely better. They look like subwoofers compared to the little neo magnet ones in this. Way undersized and that sub in this, is really only 50W RMS at the most. Actually is 25x2 coils I believe. I looked a long time ago inside mine just to see how it was set up. It's indeed a weird DVC sub. Mids are way undersized for it's output. That was my only gripe with this old beast. 10/10 sound quality otherwise.
This one is a more muffled but deeper bass version of the w-king x20s that I have. I didn't like it's sound signature much. I wish they wouldn't have recessed the mids like JBL does but the w-king is the opposite. Not as deep but loud and clear and better for more kinds of music because most of the music is in the mids.
WK X20 and Uboom X are both good speakers, although I personally prefer the clarity of the X. If you need deep bass outdoors you will need to go bigger though like the JBL Partybox 120/320.
