Here are the monitors I've bought and tested that are still available for purchase: * ARZOPA Portable Monitor 15.6'' 1080p - https://a.co/d/dQthqY5 * ViewSonic VX1755 17 Inch 1080p Portable IPS Gaming Monitor with 144Hz, AMD FreeSync - https://a.co/d/96lDX3y * MagicRaven 2.5K Portable Gaming Monitor, 16" 2520x1680 1500:1 IPS Laptop Monitor, Slim Lightweight USB C HDMI Computer Display - https://a.co/d/iazkCgk All three had similar screen quality. The Viewsonic had the best user interface and menu controls, but is the most expensive. The Magic Raven has the higher resolution but it's only 60Hz. I find the Arzopa as a brand a good entry into portable monitors for the price-to-performance ratio.

I have been using [Arzopa](https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Arzopa-FreeSync-Computer-Speakers/dp/B091GFZNJ5?th=1) portable monitor. So far it works great.

Arzopa. That's the brand. (I have pretty much this: https://www.amazon.ca/ARZOPA-Portable-Kickstand-Computer-External/dp/B0CH9XW8RK/). 1080p, has 2x USBC ports and an HDMI port, comes with all the cables you need, you can functionally watch/play stuff on it while it passes power through to your deck to keep that topped up as well. I use it when I travel and am in hotels and it's a treat.

tbh, it wasn't noticeable to me, felt quite responsive. About the only thing I'd say is to split the audio/video, I had the audio continue to output via the deck's speakers as they were significantly better than the ones built into the monitor.

I’ve got an Arzopa portable monitor underneath a 49” ultra. It works really well with productivity as you can put things like teams, file explorer or to-do lists on that monitor so they don’t keep popping up over work windows. Would highly recommend. Alternative is if you have a tablet you can turn into a monitor in the meantime. I use to use dust display on my iPad and this worked well obviously a smaller screen than a portable monitor offers.

I got the 15.6 inch , A1 GAMUT/60HZ. Not sure if it’s available anymore. They all seemed very similar when I was looking at the different models and I eventually went off price as one was on offer for £99. They aren’t bad monitors, fairly limited in picture adjustment but I’ve found it perfectly fine for my needs. Even when actually working on the go with it secondary to my laptop screen it’s worked really well.

YAS! finally someone asked this question! I have a portable setup (with m2). here's the display i use: [Arzopa A1 Travel Monitor | 15.6” FHD 1080P Display](https://www.arzopa.com/collections/monitors/products/a1-15-6-fhd-1080p-portable-monitor). It's a amazing combo, tho it was not cheap. I think its a fair trade. And with Better Display, Mwah amazing! (also, i got it from amazon.)

The model I have (A1) was a budget one I grabbed during Prime day, it's not the best but it still works well for my use (mostly desktop mode stuff). The HDR mode on this screen is poor so I changed it to SDR mode which looks much better. Brightness is fine but only for indoor use. There are other models Arzopa makes which are better geared for gaming (eg high refresh rate) which I've seen are reviewed higher.

I bought an ARZOPA portable monitor like that one. Iba lang yung stand nung akin. I bought the one with the folio-stand. Anyway, I made a quick review about it here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Tech\_Philippines/comments/17mto6s/comment/kslbuwx/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tech_Philippines/comments/17mto6s/comment/kslbuwx/) And yes it is worth it! Especially if you're always on-the-go, and you just need that extra screen for productivity. BTW that monitor never left my work bag ever since I bought it last 11.11. lol

Reposting because comment was deleted due to amazon link So I used to always have a second monitor but haven’t for about 3-4 years because I rarely ever used it and a single monitor just looks cleaner imo. However, recently, I’ve been playing a game that has lots of grinding / AFKish stuff to do, and I thought how nice it would be to have a dedicated smaller monitor for youtube, spotify, discord, etc. I ended up buying a small 16” portable monitor and amazon (the exact model here - REMOVED LINK ((search up AZOPA portable 15.6” monitor on amazon)) - on sale for only $60 bucks) and it’s been great! I will say, if you go this route, do yourself a favor and also buy yourself a 10 foot mini HDMI to HDMI cable. It exactly what I needed at a very short price and sounds like what you may want too!

Which monitor do you use? Bc I got the Arzopa 15.6 inch monitors and they do NOT work with just a Usb-c cable. They need to have an hdmi hooked up for the display to come through.

I bought this Arzopa monitor also and it does NOT work with just the USB-C. There’s a bug that forces you to have BOTH the usb c and hdmi to get it to work w the mac mini.

I tried some monitors: Arzopa (15,6"), Zenscreen MB16ACV (15,6") and LG 16MR70 (16"). Arzopa was an immediate no for me. Quality was quite poor. Color was quite different compared to the Macbook and it had a screen that makes it hard to see when there is natural light around. Zenscreen was quite good. Color was quite good but still can see a bit of difference. It has 15,6" and proportion is 16:9 so there is some difference there, because MacBook has a proportion of 16:10. I liked that it was compatible with tripod and it had a cover. LG was the best by far. It's also much more expensive. Color is practically the same than the Macbook. Sometimes I'm not sure which one is better. Screen is 2K so it has a great definition. Proportion is 16:10, same than the MacBook. Resolution can be up to 2560 x 1600, which is huge. I used BetterDisplay to define a custom resolution that matches exactly the same than my MacBook. Yeah! The one I bought was the ARZOPA Portable Monitor, 15.6" it's on Amazon think I paid maybe $60? It connects via USBC, has a cover for the screen that converts to a stand and it's a good size IMO because it's big enough to have a few things on it for multitasking but it easily fits in the laptop sleeve of my bag with my laptop. So it's very easy to take with me and doesn't have a bunch of wires to set up.

personally, I choose Arzopa and I am using it. If you just watch videos and do simple work daily, both brands of portable monitors would meet your needs. If you have any more professional needs, such as gaming/image editing/video editing/coding etc., or have such professional needs in the future, surely choose a more professional portable screen brand: Arzopa, that is a professional portable monitor brand. in appreance, arzopa's products look simple, elegant and fashionable, if you take it on the go, it suits for all style outfit.

I have an arzopa I think it’s called. I got it as a budget test to see if I would use it and could justify the ASUS price. I never needed to upgrade as it actually works very well even for gaming albeit at 60fps max. I’m normally quite fussy about my parts and will happily spend big but I will be honest - I think this market is full of frauds and overpriced kit.

You'll want one with pass through charging, otherwise you won't be able to keep your deck charged while the monitor is connected via the usb-c port. Also check reviews for complaints about brightness. A lot of random amazon ones are so dim they're unusable in daylight. [RedditRecs](https://redditrecs.com/categories/portable-monitor/) has a list of models ranked by aggregated reviews from reddit. The top arzopa is a good option and has quite a few happy steam deck users.

For the review that nobody asked for... below is my pro & cons to of two portable monitors. I needed a portable monitor for a non-gaming reason and bought two candidates and returned the other. I didn't buy it just for the Ally X but it's nice to have. Figured that this may help anybody who may be considering two cheap'ish portable monitors. I returned the Arzopa and kept the Uperfect.

I had ASUS MB16ACE for couple months, and the screen is cracked when I put it in a suitcase. Now I am using ARZOPA, cheaper, own stand, and bigger screen 17.3''. Honestly, I adjust the brightness on14/100 for an indoor setting and it is already bright enough for me. Same for ASUS, I dont see the brightness would be an issue, can work well both indoor and outdoor. The only difference I found is the ASUS i used had audio. But I enjoyed my laptop Dolby audio, so i dont mind that no audio with ARZOPA.

I absolutely hate using my laptop, so I have a home set-up where I use two big monitors instead. I bought a portable Arzopa monitor (on Amazon) for times when I am traveling because the only thing I can’t stand more than a laptop screen is *one* screen. It’s a game changer for me, makes the laptop tolerable when I have no other option. I only spent $60 on it, have had it for over a year now and no complaints.

I got the same one with a Ivanky dock but every time I plug it in both screens on my monitor and ally go black. Are you using a 100w block? Cause I'm using the power brick that came with the rog ally. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Also are you getting 30w?
