I love mine, but recently I found out it won't play full HD content from one particular platform because it isn't HDCP compliant. A big blow. There is no HDMI, just a USB Micro B. Fine for YouTube, Netflix and Amazon but for this one platform - Stan (in Australia) - it just won't. I have an Asus ZenScreen but not a high-end one, and I got it long before Stan acquired the English Premier League (my sole reason for having the subscription!!). Perfect for everything else, just not this. So now I need to buy a new one with HDMI. I've gone for an ARZOPA A1. Arrives tomorrow. Just something to consider when checking the specs..

ARZOPA Portable Monitor 15.6'' FHD 1080P - Ultra-Slim Portable Laptop Monitor with Kickstand - IPS Display for PC, MAC, Phone, Xbox, PS5 - USB C & HDMI Connectivity - A1 I have managed to get 2 of the above monitors on special sales In the $60 price range. I can plug USB c to c from the deck to the monitor, an plug the deck charger into the other c port on the monitor. This lets you charge  the deck and power the monitor. It works decently well for me

I move mine between my Big Screen TV. (ok, its a mid size these days at 55 in.) My Desktop PC Monitor (a nice ultra wide) With HDR and all the fancy stuff that I really cant tell if its working or not. And recently I have a small 'portable' monitor 15" i picked up for $60 on amazon prime days. The portable monitor is interesting in how it works. I plug the USB C power brick from the Deck into one USB C port on the monitor. I then use a USB C To C "Video" capable Cable from the Deck to the Monitor. I then have the Deck working on the monitor (and charging) Without a Dock at all. Which is really sort of handy when traveling. The Monitor fits in my rather large lunch box. :) The Single Power Supply powers the monitor and Deck. NO DOCK NEEDED. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CH9WTW56 ( I got it on sale for like $80) A slightly smaller one i got on sale a few weeks later. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CH9XW8RK I am currently using one as a second monitor for my Desktop PC. I am trying to figure out how to mount it to the side of my PC case, or somehow fit it INSIDE the case behind the glass panel. Which would be neat. But I cant get the cables routed. :) Makes me wonder when there will be Video cards with USB C outputs. So, Game Night = Big TV Gaming In the Game Room = PC Monitor. On the Go/Work/Camping = Portable Monitor.

Mine is a cheap 1080p model (Azorpa A1). It cost me like 76 €. The video is not great, but definitely not terrible (I've seen terrible screens, and this is not one of them). But the build quality... it trumps all portable monitors I've seen. They have a slightly larger model that has much better specs (100% sRGB, and 144Hz), the Arzopa Z1FC. If I had to buy a new one, I'd buy that one. No questions asked.

Arzopa. That's the brand. (I have pretty much this: https://www.amazon.ca/ARZOPA-Portable-Kickstand-Computer-External/dp/B0CH9XW8RK/). 1080p, has 2x USBC ports and an HDMI port, comes with all the cables you need, you can functionally watch/play stuff on it while it passes power through to your deck to keep that topped up as well. I use it when I travel and am in hotels and it's a treat.

tbh, it wasn't noticeable to me, felt quite responsive. About the only thing I'd say is to split the audio/video, I had the audio continue to output via the deck's speakers as they were significantly better than the ones built into the monitor.

YAS! finally someone asked this question! I have a portable setup (with m2). here's the display i use: [Arzopa A1 Travel Monitor | 15.6” FHD 1080P Display](https://www.arzopa.com/collections/monitors/products/a1-15-6-fhd-1080p-portable-monitor). It's a amazing combo, tho it was not cheap. I think its a fair trade. And with Better Display, Mwah amazing! (also, i got it from amazon.)

I bought the 15.6" Arzopa, decent enough screen and came with 3 separate cables which was good. Also it was handy to have a built in kick stand. It can be powered & connected with a single usbc cable which is an advantage over a regular monitor. I didn't however feel safe just throwing it in my bag like you can with a laptop and couldn't find a good case that would be compatible, so didn't end up taking it with me regularly. I found myself getting used to just using one screen to be honest. Even though I normally use 3 screens in my home office...

Which monitor do you use? Bc I got the Arzopa 15.6 inch monitors and they do NOT work with just a Usb-c cable. They need to have an hdmi hooked up for the display to come through.

I bought this Arzopa monitor also and it does NOT work with just the USB-C. There’s a bug that forces you to have BOTH the usb c and hdmi to get it to work w the mac mini.

My wife and I each have a 15.6" by Arzopa, she's a remote worker who travels, I use mine at my desk under my main monitor. She loves hers, since I don't travel with mine I wish I had got a 17", I had the room for it under my monitor, so I should have got the bigger one. https://preview.redd.it/a96qjguu3tmf1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f77aebca3a946cefeef7a0ecd16966e845b332eb

Yeah! The one I bought was the ARZOPA Portable Monitor, 15.6" it's on Amazon think I paid maybe $60? It connects via USBC, has a cover for the screen that converts to a stand and it's a good size IMO because it's big enough to have a few things on it for multitasking but it easily fits in the laptop sleeve of my bag with my laptop. So it's very easy to take with me and doesn't have a bunch of wires to set up.

I would go 1080 for anything less than like 15 inches, mostly because there would be much less expensive 1080p monitors than 1440p or 4k. Arzopa sells a pretty good one for like $80. It has stereo sound and usb c connections, as well as mini hdmi. It has to be plugged in though.

That Arzopa monitor you have in your thumbnail is one of the only portable monitors which is suitable for passthrough charging and explicitly states it as such - confirmed myself with a wattage reading USB C cable. The vast majority either don’t have it or don’t state it. Even if they were to release a foldable portable monitor (they haven’t), it’d be almost guaranteed not to have passthrough charging.

You'll want one with pass through charging, otherwise you won't be able to keep your deck charged while the monitor is connected via the usb-c port. Also check reviews for complaints about brightness. A lot of random amazon ones are so dim they're unusable in daylight. [RedditRecs](https://redditrecs.com/categories/portable-monitor/) has a list of models ranked by aggregated reviews from reddit. The top arzopa is a good option and has quite a few happy steam deck users.

Looks like one of those chinese Arzopa type monitors. They come white label from some plant in China. If you get one I’d recommend Arzopa, they go for 70-80 euro on discount, and that company gives decent support compared to many others and you’ll probly just save 10 euro going with a lesser known company.

The Arzopa is better, the Magic Raven's colours look like dropout canvas and the brightness is low. If you're just looking at documents, it doesn't make much difference.

The display itself comes with a few USB-C cables, a miniHDMI>HDMI adapter and a kickstand. It’s incredibly light (lighter than an iPad). Since I have a lot of MagSafe accessories around the house, I stuck a MagSafe to the back of it and can “snap” it everywhere it’s compatible. When not using this as a steam deck monitor, I connect it to my PC and use it for discord since it has the easy kickstand. I don’t know, it was $90 and I bought it like 90 days ago and have used it everyday. My girlfriend even laughed when I brought it to the living room with a usbc power brick. Also sorry, this isn’t an ad for that brand exclusively - I’m just saying if you’re on the fence for a cheap little “throw in a bag” screen - find one on sale and get it.

This is something I have been thinking about for a long time... And literally a week ago I have damaged my laptop screen... Haven't noticed USB plug laying on my keyboard, and that was it... Anyway, It took about a week to get a replacement for my laptop screen, so I a meangwhile I have ordered Arzopa screen with next day delivery. And I have to say I should have done it earlier. It's really convenient, fits my laptop bag along with the laptop. And more importantly I have realised that it's much better than large screens in my home office back home. It's the same size as my laptop screen and I can have both screens next to each other. Suddenly I realised how inconvenient is having large screen which is much further than laptop screen -- switching between screens is really painful for the eyes. So now I am considering purchase of another Arzopa scree, so i can work with three screens even in coffee shops.

I had ASUS MB16ACE for couple months, and the screen is cracked when I put it in a suitcase. Now I am using ARZOPA, cheaper, own stand, and bigger screen 17.3''. Honestly, I adjust the brightness on14/100 for an indoor setting and it is already bright enough for me. Same for ASUS, I dont see the brightness would be an issue, can work well both indoor and outdoor. The only difference I found is the ASUS i used had audio. But I enjoyed my laptop Dolby audio, so i dont mind that no audio with ARZOPA.

I have this one and it works great. The best part about it is that it has 2 mini-USB ports, one of which can connect to the Deck and the other can hook up to a charger. No need for a dock.

r/SteamDeck • The cheap Arzopa screen is one of the best things I’ve bought for my SteamDeck. ->

they're a dime a dozen, but really I think any of those chinese 15.6" monitors work fine and dandy - I ended up getting two, a ARZOPA portable monitor and then an ASUS ZenScreen 15.6" I prefer the ARZOPA over the Asus. ARZOPA (or any of those crazy sounding companies) have usb-c and hdmi input, which is a plus. Other things I bought that I found kinda useful: \- Portable monitor stand: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2YCT3V7?ref=fed\_asin\_title](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2YCT3V7?ref=fed_asin_title) \- Super portable laptop stand: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2WMTWTD?ref=fed\_asin\_title](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2WMTWTD?ref=fed_asin_title) The ASUS I thought was gonna be handy with the threaded 1/4-20 on the back to mount with tripods and stuff, but it doesn't work since the thread mount is so shallow that the monitor just spins on most mounts/not deep enough to "lock in" unless you have the ability to shorten the thread length (like on a cold shoe mount or something).

Uperfect and Arzoopa are okayish brand. HGFRTEE for really budget one. Im using it for couple of months and all is good so far. The reason i went for the cheapest one was color reproduction is important for me. And good ones even for budget brands are beyond my budget. Build quality isnt Lenovo or Asus levels but works well

Same. I only wanted it to run a code editor. Tried every setting, googled many more. Truly awful washed out colours and poor text definition. Avoid Arzopa. They are always cheap and discounted for a reason.

Can’t remember now. I ended up spending way more than I intended on a 16 inch 4K monitor. It’s night and day compared to the Arzopa.

I have an Arzopa monitor and it does not work from the handheld. It needs to be connected to the dock.

First the usb stopped working to carry video. Only mini hdmi worked. Then they could not be powered at all, screen would show the azlrla logo and shut off. Their support said it was unfixable, mentioning it in case you start to notice the signs.
