"The ASUS I thought was gonna be handy with the threaded 1/4-20 on the back to mount with tripods and stuff, but it doesn't work since the thread mount is so shallow that the monitor just spins on most mounts/not deep enough to "lock in" unless you have the ability to shorten the thread length (like on a cold shoe mount or something)."

I purchased one of the Asus Zenscreen 15” a year or so ago. Brilliant and came with a pouch and USB-C cable.

r/digitalnomad • [REQUEST] Portable Monitor - Slim/Light, Single-Cable USB-C Power/Video from Laptop ->I love mine, but recently I found out it won't play full HD content from one particular platform because it isn't HDCP compliant. A big blow. There is no HDMI, just a USB Micro B. Fine for YouTube, Netflix and Amazon but for this one platform - Stan (in Australia) - it just won't. I have an Asus ZenScreen but not a high-end one, and I got it long before Stan acquired the English Premier League (my sole reason for having the subscription!!). Perfect for everything else, just not this. So now I need to buy a new one with HDMI. I've gone for an ARZOPA A1. Arrives tomorrow. Just something to consider when checking the specs..

r/productivity • Are portable monitors still seen as a gimmick ->I used an ASUS ZenScreen for two years until it got broken thanks to the dumb security checks at a Vietnamese airport. Very good screen, recommend it, got a newer model after this one.
r/digitalnomad • Portable monitors ->Op nag portable monitor din ako and 2 weeks ago lang ako nag research. Lumalabas na ang maganda ngayon na pwede sa shopee ay Arzopa Z1RC. Ang original plan ko ay yung Asus zenscreen pero sa specs daw sabi sa research ko di sya competitive sa price at ngayong 2025. Ang isa ko pang tinignan ay si AOC. Touch screen sya pero below specs din kay Z1RC. Si Z1RC more on productivity, meron syang counterpart sa Arzopa nakalimutan ko yung model. Anyway few things to ask lang Saan mo gagamitin? Oo like pairing sa gaming rig pero like what exactly? Supported ba ng pc mo yung USB A to C? If sa GPU mo isa lang ang HDMI mo kailangan mo ng converter. Anong device pang gagamit mo?
