r/videographyLooking for a “budget” option for an external monitor… Something I could attach to the handle. Any recommendations?

I see lots of mixed feelings about the viltrox monitors, I have one and it’s alright. Definitely not color accurate but if you’re using it just for framing and checking focus it does the job. I will say after using it for about a year and a half now it’s proven to be very reliable but I kinda wish I spent a bit more and got an atamos or smallHD. The viltrox is light but feels very plastic-y. Haven’t had issues with overheating like I have with the ninja ultras I’ve used before. Hollyland is also a good option if you need/want wireless transmission built in. The crew I work with has a couple with the separate receivers and transmitters and they make for a good directors monitor or b cam monitor in a pinch. Gaffers also love being able to tap into the video feed from their phone.
