If you're using an Apple Silicon device I'd advise against anything but the, grainy, video mode. Otherwise, parts of the display with flicker rapidly, which in my understanding can damage the eink monitor. Stillcolor doesn't do much on Apple Silicon either unfortunately. Source: I have one of these plus an Apple Silicon Mac and can't use any other mode without severe flickering issues. I'm waiting for the Bigme B13 to replace it..

Bigme 13” is not out yet, so we don’t know yet if it’s gonna be a good monitor. We only expect it to be good because 25” version is decent. But 13.3” is only in preorders now, until it’s available we don’t know what issues it might have. I use a combo of 13.3 Dasung 13K Revo and 13.3 colour and I spend 80% of the time on the B&W screen because it’s just better. The contrast is better, the screen is brighter and weirdly it feels like it’s higher resolution than the colour one (even though it’s not). The screen is just sharper with no RGB matrix. I use both in 1200x900 scaled resolution instead of the default 1600x1200 (using BetterDisplay and flexible scaling) because my eyesight is not fantastic and they still work fine this way. I use this mostly for coding and for that B&W is great. However I turn to the colour one for code reviews and reading doffs, because they’re more legible with colour. I wouldn’t recommend buying just the colour one in 13.3” format, you’ll be disappointed. It’s either 25” colour, 25” B&W or the combo I have. If you only have funds for one 13.3”, get 13K B&W one and fallback to an LCD for when you really need colour.
