Not what you're asking, but instead I grabbed a Expresso 17" Touchscreen on a pivot stand and have it laying at roughly 60 degrees
r/ultrawidemasterrace • What <10 inch monitor do you use to pair with your ultrawide monitor? ->Yeah the concept of multiple screens with your laptop is def worth the investment. But I'm not always so sure about those laptop wing attachment concepts. I used one and it nearly broke the hinge of my laptop screen as there was a lot of weight on the back. I'd actually recommend going with a standalone portable monitor instead - way more flexibility and you're not putting stress on your laptop. I use an espresso Display for the ergonomic angle of putting it above my laptop, but there are other options available too. What kind of work are you doing that's making you consider the second screen? That might help narrow down if its worth it for your specific use case.
r/laptops • Are laptop screen extenders worth it? ->For top-tier portable monitors, you've got a few solid options that tick most of your boxes, the espresso 17 Pro is 100% DCI-P3 and 450 nits brightness and is pretty good size 17.3" whilst also being portable. But there's also the espresso 15 Pro which is 550 nits brightness at 15.6". One thing to keep in mind with portable monitors as your main display - make sure you've got a good stand or arm setup. Most portable monitors come with pretty basic kickstands that aren't great for long work sessions. The M4 mini will handle any of these no problem through USB-C. What kind of work are you planning to do on it? That might help narrow down whether you need the extra color accuracy vs higher refresh rates.
r/macmini • Looking for a top-tier portable monitor for M4 Mac Mini ->Been using an espresso Display for over a year now and it's great - seems like one of the best options for Mac
r/mac • Looking for portable monitor recommendations for M4 Pro MacBook ->I use an espresso Display with the ergonomic stand. I like it! I use the one that isn't touch screen but they also have ones which are touchscreen for documents. Not sure about the rest of them though!
r/macbook • Portable triple monitor setup ->It's a cool form factor. I've been thinking of getting one of these just for ChatGPT usage. It isn't on that small size form, but the touchscreen on espresso Displays is pretty good for a monitor once you install their driver.
r/Monitors • Recommendations for a touchscreen mini monitor that doesn't suck? ->For build and ergonomics, Espresso blows cheaper Amazon ones out of the water.
r/BuyItForLife • Is there a portable monitor that's actually built to last? ->I've had an espresso for 2 years now. Great monitor, super light weight. Have taken it traveling and used it as a second monitor. It primarily sits on my desk as a third monitor. The magnetic stand doesn't work very well. The monitor will slide down the magnet mount if the angle is too vertical. The stand itself will collapse in on itself if not positioned at the right angle. Those are the only things I find annoying about it, but it's a great portable monitor. Basically like carrying a large iPad.
