Half brightness when using USB-C connection for power. That's unfortunate.

Clarification: when not using the wall plug. There's two USB-C ports

I have one. Nothing impressive it just works well enough to be useful when troubleshooting stuff

I bought one the last time it went on sale. Redeeming features: it displays a picture, it's portable, and it's cheap. As long as you don't expect miracles, it works perfectly fine as a second monitor for your laptop on the go. It's also useful if you build PCs a lot and you don't want to spend $100 on a monitor just for testing.

I use a Fangor 1080p portable monitor on both my Windows laptop and our MacBook. Uses HDMI. Cost was around $75. 4K units are about $120+ https://preview.redd.it/71bubvumlrbf1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d0ac725c309f492e2878460ceea1dd4387ac4f2a

No, it sits right beside my laptop and is only 1” lower than my laptop screen.

I use my portable screen to debug all the headless stuff after a power outage that gets stuck on some boot option screen. I don’t know why PFsense won’t load properly after power outage (it does on reboot). Unraid can have network issues after restarts because I use a Mellanox NIC. Anyway, if you have even one headless device, buy this and save headaches. Because you aren’t using it daily, the screen will likely last long enough to create enough value as a purchase.
