I have a Lenovo M14 that I used with my T480. I don’t actually carry it around, but I wanted something with the same size and resolution as the main screen so they can be side by side. I got it a while ago when we were deploying new servers and one screen wasn’t enough. I now have a T14 Gen 5 and they’re no longer the same size. I also have a big monitor now so it’s gathering dust.

This has been so long ago I can barely remember, but I think I tried the lenovo M14 and was really unimpressed with it, so I returned it. IIRC correctly, the main issues were that it was really wobbly and the pen experience was not great, but don't remember exactly what it was about the pen that I didn't like. I didn't try any other touchscreen monitors after this.

I currently use a Thinkpad M14 monitor. It's great but I elevate my laptop with a portable stand and I can't find a good way to elevate the portable monitor at the same height. If I am at a friend's house I can use books, a box ect. When in a hotel it's tricky. I am probably going to bite the bullet and buy one of those expensive espresso displays. It has an included magnetic stand. I really don't want to spend that much money but I'll be traveling more and want to make sure my productivity remains the same as when I am at home. Also I have purchased monitors for the two family members I visit the most. The deal is they can use it the majority of the time but when I come to visit and need to work I get the monitor.

I have a Thinkvision M14 which I bought for Work trips but used it in the past as a secondary monitor. My main issue was that it was too small or too far down for my liking so I opted to not use it for that anymore. Maybe with a 16" or larger model this wouldn't be too much of an issue. Also 50$ at Amazon doesn't sound like its a very good display tbh. If you invested in a G9 you probably should match it with something nicer

I have one of those thinkvision displays (the M14 to be specific) and it works with basically everything using a bidirectional USB-C to Display Port Cable. You just need to supply power separateley. If you try to use just USB-C it probably does not carry a video stream. You can check whats supported by the Logo above the port on your PC

I hate trackpads with a passion. So my mobile setup is either the Thinkvision M14 with a Apple wireless BT keyboard and Logitech MX Anywhere 2, or a Thinkpad Compact USB keyboard with integrated trackpoint (unfortunately this keyboard is too fragile to lug around without a hard shell to protect the keys).
