Looks fairly similar in specs to the Lenovo Thinkvision m14t gen 1 - main differences lower power consumption (claimed at least), additional mini-hdmi input and a design that's arguably more aesthetically pleasing. Would be interesting to see how the measured power consumption compares against a m14t gen 1 at identical brightness levels, as well as the panel image quality. Meanwhile, the upcoming Lenovo thinkvision m14t gen 2 will go for a higher resolution 16:10 panel.

I hate trackpads with a passion. So my mobile setup is either the Thinkvision M14 with a Apple wireless BT keyboard and Logitech MX Anywhere 2, or a Thinkpad Compact USB keyboard with integrated trackpoint (unfortunately this keyboard is too fragile to lug around without a hard shell to protect the keys).

I have a ThinkVision M14t, and it works great with linux. It's got touchscreen and pen support both of which worked out of the box for me on Fedora. It's only 1080p but it's only 14" so I find it to be plenty sharp. I like the colors on it too. I find them to be pretty good for a non-design specific monitor.

I also have M14T that works fine. But now looking for a smaller one, like 10-11 inch ideally with battery to be able to carry it in my bag easily. I think this could replace a tablet. There are hundreds of options for the sizes between 14-16 inch, but only a few options with smaller size, and difficult to find user comments about them.

I have a NexDock 360 and a Lenovo M14T portable touchscreen monitor that I customized to use as a portable DeX 'tablet'. Both work extremely well and I use them each differently. I love my Lenovo M14T a lot with how I set it up and even discovered that I can use the Samsung apps that are heavily developed to work with a stylus since the M14T comes with a fine tip stylus of it's own. However, the features I would love to upgrade would be a larger, higher resolution panel. The M14T is a 14" 1080p panel but also has a large chin across the bottom and a folding base to position it at any angle. It is extremely convenient to set up because of that but also makes the unit much more bulky than a true 'tablet' experience would be. Lenovo just released the M14T Gen 2 but it is still a 14" panel with a higher resolution and the prices are going to be way more than I would pay for it for a while. I would love to hear/see examples of other people's DeX tablet-like setups with recommendations on touchscreen portable monitors. Recommendations across all price ranges are encouraged so anyone interested in this topic can see what people have found they enjoy the most. For myself, I'm an extreme deal shopper and, personally, would be most interested in the ideas that strike the best balance between cost/features. As a general reference point, here is a link to a Google photo album that shows my Lenovo M14T setup: https://photos.app.goo.gl/vysXwHMT3jkrXi3W7 Looking forward to seeing some creative solutions!

I have a Thinkvision M14 which I bought for Work trips but used it in the past as a secondary monitor. My main issue was that it was too small or too far down for my liking so I opted to not use it for that anymore. Maybe with a 16" or larger model this wouldn't be too much of an issue. Also 50$ at Amazon doesn't sound like its a very good display tbh. If you invested in a G9 you probably should match it with something nicer

I have one of those thinkvision displays (the M14 to be specific) and it works with basically everything using a bidirectional USB-C to Display Port Cable. You just need to supply power separateley. If you try to use just USB-C it probably does not carry a video stream. You can check whats supported by the Logo above the port on your PC
