I recently tried a Lenovo ThinkPad M14t gen2, and got very disappointed by it's functionality for cost. I'm hoping to find a better monitor even if quality wise it is technically worse. I need the monitor to be 14" or less, closer to 12/13" is better for my EDC bag, touch screen is optional, but preferred, and it needs to be relatively durable. Bonus points if it has an impressive battery life! I'm not someone who needs a high refresh rate or 4K+ graphics, I just need a bigger screen.

I have the M14t from Lenovo. Your phone won't have enough power coming out of the USB-c for the display.

I also have M14T that works fine. But now looking for a smaller one, like 10-11 inch ideally with battery to be able to carry it in my bag easily. I think this could replace a tablet. There are hundreds of options for the sizes between 14-16 inch, but only a few options with smaller size, and difficult to find user comments about them.

I have a NexDock 360 and a Lenovo M14T portable touchscreen monitor that I customized to use as a portable DeX 'tablet'. Both work extremely well and I use them each differently. I love my Lenovo M14T a lot with how I set it up and even discovered that I can use the Samsung apps that are heavily developed to work with a stylus since the M14T comes with a fine tip stylus of it's own. However, the features I would love to upgrade would be a larger, higher resolution panel. The M14T is a 14" 1080p panel but also has a large chin across the bottom and a folding base to position it at any angle. It is extremely convenient to set up because of that but also makes the unit much more bulky than a true 'tablet' experience would be. Lenovo just released the M14T Gen 2 but it is still a 14" panel with a higher resolution and the prices are going to be way more than I would pay for it for a while. I would love to hear/see examples of other people's DeX tablet-like setups with recommendations on touchscreen portable monitors. Recommendations across all price ranges are encouraged so anyone interested in this topic can see what people have found they enjoy the most. For myself, I'm an extreme deal shopper and, personally, would be most interested in the ideas that strike the best balance between cost/features. As a general reference point, here is a link to a Google photo album that shows my Lenovo M14T setup: https://photos.app.goo.gl/vysXwHMT3jkrXi3W7 Looking forward to seeing some creative solutions!

I have both a NexDock 360 and a Lenovo M14T portable touchscreen monitor and use both. I wanted the option to have just a tablet-like experience with Dex and have really enjoyed what I came up with for the Lenovo monitor. Here is a link to a Google photo album I've shared in these threads before: https://photos.app.goo.gl/vysXwHMT3jkrXi3W7 It was a simple and fun setup and versatile as a flat slab (with a battery bank magnetized to the back) or using the built in kickstand (the weight of the battery bank actually makes it very sturdy). Lenovo has recently released a second Gen M14T touchscreen display and the price is a little higher than some might want to pay but still cheaper than a flagship Samsung tablet (maybe on par with a mid-tier Samsung with Dex). The very first device I tried in the tablet form factor was the NexPad and I immediately sent it back. The build quality was awful on my unit, the screen was too dim to be enjoyable in a room with lights on, and the first time I plugged my phone in and magnetized it to the bottom chin, my phone froze and was 'bricked' for about 20 minutes until I was able to hard reset the device. I still cannot fathom how an external monitor and magnet combo could have caused that issue when I've used tons of accessories and displays for Dex and never once experienced anything like that before or since. If this interests anyone, I'm happy to find some time over the next few days to get some additional pictures and demo video of my setup being used. Just let me know and I hope this helps
