So my mom is actually a wedding planner and uses one of these for a bunch of things at weddings. Typically just animated signage like a welcome before the ceremony, seating chart, and slideshows during the reception. She likes it a lot. It's got a very premium feel to it which you definitely need when people are paying $30K-$50K for a fancy wedding.

Yeah we use it around the house pretty often too. I can hook up my laptop via HDMI and use it as a second monitor. It's got a touch screen so your sister should have no problems showing off slideshows or presentations with it either.

r/workfromhomeDoes anyone here use a portable screen for WFH? Thinking about how to avoid 'desk burnout' lately.

LG StanbyMe feels like a bit of an overkill to me. I got a portable monitor from Portio for a little over $100. I originally bought it for days when I’m on client sites, but now I find myself using it at home too. Sometimes it’s just easier to plug it into my laptop and work from the couch or kitchen table instead of sitting at my desk all day. It doesn’t replace a proper desk setup, but it definitely gives me the freedom to change environment when I need a break from the same spot.

If screen quality matters, Espresso is usually praised for color and build, but you might also want to check options from LG like the StanbyME line, not as ultra-thin, but the display quality and versatility can be surprisingly great for work, media, and travel setups. It's great for working moms like me who needs reliable screen quality on the go,

I've never used it for any business type stuff but I do use it for a second monitor and as a TV on occasion. I don't have a TV in my bedroom (by choice) but it's nice to be able to wheel it in there on the rare occasions I do want to just lay in bed and veg. Especially because I can AirPlay to it. It's kinda like an ipad on steroids. You can leave it plugged in but it has about a 3hr battery on its own.

I'm excited ffor this product and already own the original StanbyME and StanbyME Go as well as two other LG OLEDs. I think this monitor will be better for when I work from home with the higher resolution and hopefully longer battery life.
