I was gonna ask « wich monitor is the top One, I would buy it » and I seen your comment. I just bought the SAME ONE 2 days ago lmaooo
Both are MSI. The ultrawide is a MSI PRO MP341CQ 34" and the portable monitor is a MSI PRO MP165 E6 15,6".
MSI PRO MP165 E6 15,6"
once you get used to having one of these in your work bag it is difficult to go back. it's really a game changer. and as always, i like to mention spacedesk. you can turn any old ipad or android tablet into a usb screen just from a free program installed on the host pc and an app on the device. im using it right now at my work desk as my itx dell desktop only has 2 displayport outs.
Monitor in pic MSI Pro MP165 E6 Portable Monitor, 15.6" Powered by laptop via Thunderbolt 4 cable. Or external powerbank
No, I am OEing enroute to J2... They have deployed Time Doctor in J1 last week, I am now sacred to hell if they find out I am mouse jiggling while to stay active
I don't see anything like that. It's a MSI Pro MP165 E6 Portable Monitor, 15.6"
This actually fits my niche use for a semi-portable Switch setup (already found something that emulates the Switch dock to allow USB C to DP)
Thanks for posting that link! Kickstands suck but I always thought of them (or a flip cover) a necessary evil. I never thought of mounting these to a micro tripod. That's a game changer!
You can find similarly spec'd units on Amazon for as low as $43.34, but there's a difference between price and value. At that price you are buying a "Dopesplay" branded monitor with a 1 year "Satisfaction Guarantee". The MSI brand and 2 year manufacturer warranty coupled with Costco satisfaction guarantee add value, making this a better overall value than most no-name brands on Amazon. That said, there is always an exception. In this case that's the $50 AOC 16T20, which has a 3-year warranty and is sold directly by Amazon. [https://www.amazon.com/AOC-16T20-Portable-1920x1080-Compatible/dp/B0F3MMK1J4?](https://www.amazon.com/AOC-16T20-Portable-1920x1080-Compatible/dp/B0F3MMK1J4) At a quick glance, that's likely a better deal and one that's worth posting. Thanks for prompting me to dig a little deeper!
Agreed on the panel and the stands/case. At this price level they are generally commodity products of similar quality. I was about going to cancel my Costco / MSI order and buy the AOC until I watched the video linked by u/Golden_009 and learned about the tripod mount option on the MSI. I can't unsee that and it's one of those conveniences that's now a requirement. Hopefully the biz trip is somewhere fun.
Depending on how you value the Costco backstop, the AOC monitor below (also posted separately) is a better deal than the MSI. I can't find much 3rd party info on the AOC monitor so may just stick with MSI. If I hadn't already ordered those, I would likely go with the AOC.
