Hey everyone! 👋 I just got my hands on the new UPERFECT 16" 3K OLED portable monitor, and it’s the first one to offer a 120Hz refresh rate in this size and resolution! 🎮💻 In my video, I unbox the monitor, go over its key features, and demonstrate its performance with HDR videos and gaming. If you're looking for a portable display with amazing color and smooth gameplay, this one might be worth checking out! Would love to hear your thoughts and if anyone else has tried it out!

If connected directly with DP (with dongle) or USB C you get the native resolution with 120hz. In my setup when using HDMI the monitor defaults to 2560x1600 at 120hz. You can force it to the native resolution (3k) but it tops out at 100hz. I have a Nvidia gpu. Which I can set custom resolutions and refreshrates. When I make a custom resolution (native 3k) with 120hz it works completly fine with only HDMI to the O2 monitor.

No almost, this is my setup: GPU -> HDMI -> O2 monitor (with custom resolution to get native output) With DP to USB-C or only USB-C (like Macbook) I get native resolution and refresh rate without custom resolutions. Why do I use HDMI you may ask then; that's because the cable I have is in the perfect length for my setup. But both work for me

I can control the brightness of the monitor with the app "Monitorian" on Windows 11. Does this answer your question?

It depends on the cable. I tested with HDMI to USB C cable. So HDMI out of my Nvidia GPU to USB C to the monitor (with custom res) no problem. When I use HDMI to mini HDMI it tops out on 100hz and custom resolution gave me black screen.

Sorry for the confusion. But HDMI to USB C with Full resolution and refreshrate is doable

Just don't use the mini HDMI port of the monitor, then you will be fine

I just got this screen too and I really like it, does anyone know if uperfect makes a screen protector for it? Like the kind you put on a cell phone screen. Im just trying to avoid getting the screen stretched.

The original question was full resolution. OP did not do the full resolution with hdmi, so that doesn’t apply. They used usb to achieve full resolution

It was not full resolution over hdmi. Just tested your proposal. Doesn't work. He achieved full over usbc, not hdmi.

I have no reason to lie either. The method you claimed doesn't work. Its possible there's differences in silicon lotto and the business doesn't want to risk false advertisement, or maybe he got lucky and it doesn't work again. In any case, the full 3k works over 100 hz, and lower resolution works over 120 over the given hdmi to hdmi mini cable. I'd use USB C, but I don't have a USB C out on my dGPU.

Yes, its a known entity to get full out over usb c. Its not mini hdmi that's working though. Not officially supported and surprise surprise, didn't work
