Thanks. I just bought the same monitor like that guy. Sotsu Flipaction Pro. Seems really promising.
Okay, I just ordered the Sotsu Flipaction 16 inch Pro. It is such a waste to NOT use the Macbook Pro keyboard, trackpad and even the screen when in clamshell mode. Not using the "device real estate" in its full is such a waste...
I ordered a 16 inch monitor from Sotsu. I still use the external mouse btw.
Currently sold out. But they come and go. I have this monitor for my everyday use with my Mac mini M4. I highly recommend. https://www.sotsu.com/products/flipaction-pro-16
I have the SOTSU Gen 2. Amazing specs. Here’s a link. https://a.co/d/8gqUsB1
It is. I think it meets your requirements. You could always return to Amazon if you don’t agree. Let me know if it works out. Good luck.
The very best portable monitors are made by SOTSU. I have the 16” Gen II. The screen quality is amazing and the design is perfect. It’s not cheap though. https://a.co/d/9WIZb2j
https://a.co/d/e3SxfHW SOTSU 16” Gen 2. Apple quality. And price. 😔. But the perfect companion for the mac mini
Nope, definitely not a whim purchase Feature set is pretty good tho, and picture quality is really good. Ive set it up next to my oled, and most folks are having a hard time telling the difference
The folding, magnetic design, and the incredibly low power draw is amazing to me. They disappear in my backpack, and fit in a tablet arm too
I'm a big fan of the SOTSU monitors, the flipaction touch 14 also happens to support MPP AND you can magnet your pen to the external monitors https://www.sotsu.com/products/flipaction-touch-14?variant=46062271955170 https://www.reddit.com/r/SamsungDex/comments/1irtede/sotsu_flipaction_14_go_and_touch_reviews/ I'm testing the sotsu 16 pro right now, but it doesn't do MPP, nor touch, so unless you really need the higher resolution, i'd prefer the 14" versions another fun idea is the uperfect delta dual screen monitors single usb-c connection gets you 2x panels it's pretty slick
ok, so I have pretty much every possible combo here, so I feel like I can speak to this pretty well ;) >basically to use it like a large tablet with my S24U connected. Just remember that DeX is landscape only, you're not going to be able to "easily" force a portrait resolution (ADB can make it happen tho) DeX is Desktop Experience. it's not aimed at being a tablet replacement (you absolutely can, but understand it's not the intent) DeX tops out at 60hz, so buying a monitor with specs above that is currently a bit of a waste, if there's a premium attached (unless you also have other uses for it most monitors without a battery absolutely cave in the battery I really highly recommend the SOTSU monitors, as they draw under 3w power, and have a MUCH better stand than anything else out there Overall, if I can only have one? I'm picking the lapdock every day, all day long built in battery, keyboard, trackpad. ability to use it wirelessly. ability to use it with 0 cables is really understated you absolutely can get a nicer monitor than the nexdock's panel for the same price, but then you also need a keyboard and mouse/trackpad so the money becomes pretty moot it just really really comes down to the premium you put on the screen.
Single easiest setup is a lapdock Uperfect or nexdock, we've reviewed a ton here For travel keyboards and mice, protoarc has also been well received here For a dedicated monitor, I really like the SOTSU monitors, as they have proper stands as well as use almost no power from a dex device
yup, there are many that work just fine. I've always got one with me, whether it's a SOTSU, or Nexdock, or Uperfect
I have the Sotsu FlipAction 16 Pro and would think about it this way: With the laptop+iPad setup the laptop is your primary display while the iPad is your secondary display. With the laptop+FlipAction setup the FlipAction is your primary display and the laptop becomes your secondary display. In other words, if your laptop's screen is sufficient for your needs and you just want to second screen to reference the iPad is a much more portable choice. But if your laptop screen feels cramped the Sotsu would be a better choice, albeit at the expense of being less portable.
I use Sotsu FlipAction Pro 16”. It’s the best.
If you working in a static setup from a desk get a proper monitor If out and about the go for it, I got sotsu flipaction 16 go, absolutely brilliant monitor Typically portable monitors have very poor brightness levels, which is why I got the sotsu as I use it when working in the garden etc
It's the Sotsu! That's the only portable monitor that's worth money.
Have you ever looked at a Sotsu portable monitor? That is my bread and butter when traveling. https://preview.redd.it/c2jktd6pxglg1.jpeg?width=6042&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c2972336a5d1c2863b8eefd2e693705db877dd5
