ok, so I have pretty much every possible combo here, so I feel like I can speak to this pretty well ;) >basically to use it like a large tablet with my S24U connected. Just remember that DeX is landscape only, you're not going to be able to "easily" force a portrait resolution (ADB can make it happen tho) DeX is Desktop Experience. it's not aimed at being a tablet replacement (you absolutely can, but understand it's not the intent) DeX tops out at 60hz, so buying a monitor with specs above that is currently a bit of a waste, if there's a premium attached (unless you also have other uses for it most monitors without a battery absolutely cave in the battery I really highly recommend the SOTSU monitors, as they draw under 3w power, and have a MUCH better stand than anything else out there Overall, if I can only have one? I'm picking the lapdock every day, all day long built in battery, keyboard, trackpad. ability to use it wirelessly. ability to use it with 0 cables is really understated you absolutely can get a nicer monitor than the nexdock's panel for the same price, but then you also need a keyboard and mouse/trackpad so the money becomes pretty moot it just really really comes down to the premium you put on the screen.

Single easiest setup is a lapdock Uperfect or nexdock, we've reviewed a ton here For travel keyboards and mice, protoarc has also been well received here For a dedicated monitor, I really like the SOTSU monitors, as they have proper stands as well as use almost no power from a dex device

yup, there are many that work just fine. I've always got one with me, whether it's a SOTSU, or Nexdock, or Uperfect

r/MonitorsWhat reputable portable monitor should I get? Specifically for a laptop

It's at the bottom of this list, but I can recommend the Sotsu. Great build quality and even includes a sleeve. Nothing else comes close to the versatility of the stand. The actual screen isn't exceptional, but there's nothing to complain about, and the rest of the package more than makes up for it.

I invested in SOTSU Portable Monitor. Bought it in Amazon during the Black Friday Sale.
